While Michelle was crawling in the vents, she spotted a room through the gaps in the left vent grille before placing her hand against it and pushing it open.
After Michelle entered the room, she stood up properly and looked around before spotting a TV with a cyan VHS player next to it on top of filing cabinets. "It's been a while since I've seen a VHS tape," she said before approaching it.
When Michelle was near the area with the TV, she spotted a cyan VHS tape on the ground, which made her pick it up. "What do you have to offer?" she asked herself before approaching the player.
After Michelle inserted the tape into the player, she looked at the TV as it booted up. "Alright, Ms. Harper, please explain the situation; spare no detail," the female scientist said.
"Well, like any night, all the children were getting to sleep; it was peaceful, quiet," Ms. Harper said. "CatNap had the Red Smoke in the room."
Michelle was concerned. "Then, suddenly, there's this scream," Ms. Harper continued before she sighed. "Nightmares happen, I know, but this... I mean, dilated pupils and quivering lips? The way her eyes darted around the room?"
Michelle heard Ms. Harper get frantic. "And I swear, her hand in mine, it felt like her blood was boiling beneath her skin..." she said.
Michelle was uncomfortable. "She saw something, too, something horrible! She—" Ms. Harper stopped herself before calming down. "I-I'm sorry; I don't mean to..."
Michelle crossed her arms and looked away. "To be honest, I would've felt the same way, so I don't blame her..." she said in a low voice.
"Ms. Harper, we'll provide the very best care we can offer; you have my word," the scientist said. "But this is important. Did Marie happen to describe what she saw?"
Michelle looked at the TV. "Yes, a monster, she said, said it was... colorless. Gosh, I could feel her poor little heart pounding. For her, it was right there!" Ms. Harper shouted. "A-And her movements, they were so wild! Arms flailing, legs kicking..."
Michelle heard the scientist hum. "I... I wanted to talk to her. See how she's doing. I just... I really need to hear her voice right now," Ms. Harper said.
"That would not be advised, Ms. Harper," the scientist said. "There are many concerns we must address at this time. But vitals show normal, and we'll continue to monitor her; she'll be OK."
Michelle heard Ms. Harper's screams. "NO! Well, pardon me if I'm not comforted by that!" she shouted before she started crying. "Just bring my little girl back to me..."
After the video ended, Michelle looked down. "Marie..." she said in a low voice.
When Michelle remembered Mommy Long Legs's terrified expression and the trembling, she froze in shock. "Is it possible that Marie... and Mommy... are the same person?" she asked herself.
Michelle trembled a bit and clenched her arms. "That explains everything... poor Mommy..." she said in a low voice.
Michelle shook her head and uncrossed her arms before slapping her hands against her cheeks. "Keep it together, Misha..." she said before walking away from the TV. "I have to be strong for them..."
When Michelle looked forward, she spotted two glowing green sockets with a rusty yellow front and a glowing green lightning bolt symbol on top of it, which made her hum. "It looks like I'm going to have to find some batteries in this room," she said before looking around.
When Michelle turned her head to the left, she spotted a door propped open by a maintenance cart before approaching it.
Michelle looked through the opening and spotted a rectangular device with a rusty yellow top with a handle and a matching colored bottom and a black base with glowing green lights and a lightning bolt symbol on one side and the Playtime Co. symbol on the other in a sink.
Michelle hummed and grabbed the right arm cannon's handle. "There's one," she said before aiming at the battery's handle and pulling the right trigger.
The green hand shot forward and grabbed the battery's handle before it retracted back to Michelle; she approached the socket on the right before placing it inside. "Only one remains," she said.
When Michelle turned her head to the left, she saw a battery next to a busted oven, which made her grab the left arm cannon's handle before aiming at its handle and pulling the trigger.
The blue hand shot forward and grabbed the battery before retracting back to Michelle. "And you're it," she said before putting it in the left socket.
Soon after, the blue hand scanner lit up, which made Michelle look at it and aim the left arm cannon at it. "I'll need to catch up to Mommy and head to the others," she continued before pulling the trigger.
The blue hand shot forward and touched the scanner, activating it; when it finished, it retracted back to Michelle before the door shutter created an opening, which made her walk forward.
Michelle spotted a cutout of an anthropomorphic elephant toy with cerulean blue hair and a slightly darker blue on its feet, hands, the tip of its S-shaped trunk, the inside of its ears, and on the bulb-shaped tuft of its long tail, wearing a collar with a lightbulb pendant on it near the left opening.
Michelle smiled at the cutout and let go of the arm cannons' handles. "It's Bubba Bubbaphant," she said before approaching it.
When Michelle was close to the cutout, she pressed the button. "I'm Bubba Bubbaphant; hey, I remember you!" it said.
Michelle smiled. "Normally, I press these once, but since it's a Smiling Critter, I'll keep it going," she said before pressing the button.
"An elephant always remembers!" the cutout said.
Michelle pressed the button again. "Want to know what I remember about you?" the cutout asked.
Michelle tilted her head with a smile. "What do you remember about me?" she asked.
When Michelle pressed the button, she heard screaming from the cutout, which made her flinch before it became distorted.
Michelle stared at the cutout with a sweatdrop. "I don't remember it doing that before..." she said before turning left and walking forward. "Let's just meet up with Mommy."
At the end of the hallway, Michelle heard something ringing, which surprised her. "What?" she asked herself before looking around. "Is that... a phone?"
Michelle turned her head to the right and spotted stairs. "It sounds like it's coming from up there," she said before climbing them.
When Michelle reached the top of the stairs, she looked around before spotting a green input socket. "I'm gonna need some electricity," she said as she grabbed the right arm cannon's handle before going down the stairs. "I remember seeing a green power socket downstairs."
After Michelle reached the bottom of the stairs, she went through the opening and spotted a green power socket next to a broken elevator before aiming at it and pulling the trigger; the green hand shot forward and touched the green power socket, powering it up.
After the green hand retracted back to Michelle, she quickly climbed the stairs and aimed the right arm cannon at the green input socket before pulling the trigger.
The green hand shot forward and touched the green input socket, which opened the door before Michelle quickly went through it.
After the door closed behind Michelle, she let go of the right arm cannon's handle and looked around the room before spotting a red and yellow phone on the wall near some pipes, ringing.
Michelle grabbed the left arm cannon's handle before aiming it at the phone and pulling the trigger, launching the blue hand and grabbing it. After the blue hand retracted back to Michelle, she grabbed the phone from it before looking at it. "Hello?" she asked.
"Hey... hey, can you hear me?" a young boy on the other end of the line asked.
Michelle stared at the phone, shocked. What the hell? Why is a little kid answering the phone? she thought.
"Hello?" the young boy asked, which made Michelle flinch a bit.
Michelle looked at the phone. "Yes, I can hear you, little boy," she said.
"You look kinda lost," the young boy said. "I don't want you to die, so I'm gonna help you!"
Michelle stared at the phone with weary eyes. "How can I know that I can trust you?" she asked.
"Look at the tube thing on the back wall," the young boy said.
As Michelle turned to the tube, she spotted a battery moving forward, which surprised her. "Ready?" the young boy asked.
Soon after, a battery came out of the tube. "BUH-BOOM! You can use that battery to open the door!" the young boy shouted.
Michelle approached the battery. "Uh... thank you," she said before aiming the left arm cannon at its handle and pulling the trigger.
The blue hand shot forward and grabbed the battery's handle before retracting back to Michelle; she turned to the battery socket connected to the door and aimed the left arm cannon at it before pulling the trigger.
The blue hand shot forward and placed the battery inside the battery socket, which unlocked the door.
After the blue hand retracted back to Michelle, she let go of the left arm cannon's handle before approaching the door; when she was near it, she placed her hand on the doorknob before twisting it.
After Michelle opened the door and stepped out of the room, she spotted Mommy Long Legs staring at the crashed train. "Mommy!" she shouted.
Mommy Long Legs turned her head to Michelle before approaching her. "Ah, my little Misha, you're alright," she said.
Michelle smiled and nodded. "Whoa... did you do that?" the young boy asked, which made the duo look at the phone. "I guess that's where CatNap found you..."
Mommy Long Legs stared at the phone. "What's this about?" she asked.
Michelle looked at Mommy Long Legs. "Found it ringing in a different room," she said. "When I picked it up, this kid answered it."
Mommy Long Legs stared at the phone. "I know you're mad at Poppy for not letting you leave this place—" the young boy was interrupted when Michelle looked at the phone. "I'm gonna stop you right there. I didn't want to leave this place to begin with..."
The phone was silent for a moment. "You... didn't?" the young boy asked.
Michelle nodded. "That's right; I'm on a mission to find my friends who were once in Playcare," she said.
"I see..." the young boy said. "Does that mean you'll help us?"
Michelle looked at the phone. "If it lets me get closer to my friends, then yes," she said.
Mommy Long Legs eyed the phone. "That's great! But your only obstacle to your goal is CatNap, one of The Smiling Critters..." the young boy said.
Michelle looked at the phone. "I'm well aware," she said.
"Well then, Playcare is straight ahead," the young boy said. "But I must warn you... Playcare is CatNap's church... his hunting ground... whatever he wants it to be."
Michelle hummed. "I'll keep that in mind and let my other friends know," she said.
"Other friends?" the young boy asked.
Michelle looked at the phone. "I wasn't on that train alone," she said. "I was accompanied by Huggy, Bunzo, a few of the Mini Huggies, PJ, and Mommy."
The phone was silent for a moment. "That's... incredible," the young boy said. "When Poppy told me about you, I didn't think it was true."
Mommy Long Legs leaned close to Michelle and sternly looked at the phone. "Well, I can say with confidence that what she said is true," she said.
"Well then, I look forward to having you as my ally," the young boy said. "Oh! And by the way, my name is Ollie."
Michelle looked at the phone. "I'm Michelle Mercia, but my friends call me Misha," she said.
"Nice to meet you, Misha," Ollie said. "We'll talk more once you get to Playcare."
Michelle nodded as the phone went silent before she hung it on one of the GrabPack's hooks. "C'mon, Mommy, let's head on out," she said.
Mommy Long Legs nodded as she scooped Michelle up in her right hand before walking away from the train crash.
