Danzo Shimura's disappearance was a silent earthquake in Konoha. Within hours, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was informed by the terrified Root Anbu who had witnessed the "neutralization" of their leader.
The account of how Danzo simply ceased to exist, erased by an invisible force, chilled Hiruzen's blood.
"This... is unheard of," Hiruzen muttered, more to himself than to the Anbu. The coldness with which Gojo had acted, the utter lack of effort, confirmed what Hiruzen had feared: Gojo's power was in a league of its own, completely untouched by the laws of his world.
Danzo's elimination was a masterstroke. The Root organization, built on secrecy and manipulation, was decapitated. Danzo's Anbu, now leaderless and terrified by Gojo's display of power, either disbanded or sought refuge under the Hokage's wing.
The knowledge of the Sharingan in Danzo's arm, which Gojo had exposed, also came to light, generating shock and distrust among the clans. Danzo's era of darkness had ended abruptly and unexpectedly, but the power vacuum it left was immense. Konoha had lost one of its most controversial figures, but also a driving force, albeit corrupt, in its internal politics.
Meanwhile, oblivious to the political chaos he had created, Gojo Satoru was back at his favorite training ground, with Naruto Uzumaki at his side.
Training with the Nine-Tails had progressed by leaps and bounds. Under Gojo's "negotiation," Kurama had begun to cooperate, albeit reluctantly. Naruto could now access bursts of the Nine-Tails' chakra without losing control, a feat unthinkable just a few days ago.
"¡Gojo-sensei! Look at this, dattebayo!" Naruto shouted, creating a shadow clone that immediately became imbued with an orange aura of Nine-Tails chakra.
"Not bad, blondie," Gojo said, peering through the blindfold with his Six Eyes. "It's still a bit... chaotic. But at least the fox isn't growling so much anymore." It seems he liked my idea for extra ramen."
While Naruto was practicing, Gojo opened the Level 2 Dimensional Shop. He had accumulated a good amount of Dimension Points from Danzo's "secondary character elimination."
Vibranium Armor (50,000 HP)
Senzu Beans (15,000 HP each)
Logia Devil Fruit (Random! 100,000 HP)
Emperor's Haki: Perfected (30,000 HP)
Full Body Teleportation Technique (25,000 HP)
Gojo's eyes widened slightly under his blindfold. "Oh, wow! This is getting interesting!"
His Six Eyes scanned each item, but one in particular caught his attention. "Emperor's Haki, huh? And 'perfected'!" Mmm, so it's that ability to intimidate people just by looking at them. How theatrical! Even though I'm the strongest, it's always good to have more tricks up your sleeve. And if it's 'perfected,' that means I don't have to go through the 'randomly fainting people' phase."
The idea of simply fainting everyone around him with a glance seemed amusing, but also a bit noisy. Emperor's Haki wasn't a source of destructive power, but a manifestation of will, of dominance.
Something that Gojo, with his innate arrogance and position as the strongest, already possessed in essence, but could now quantify and perfect.
"Yeah, this is perfect for my 'domination' classes with Naruto," Gojo thought. "And for silencing annoying people without having to make them explode."
Buy Emperor's Haki: Perfected (30,000 HP)?
[Yes] / [No]
"Yeah, of course!" Gojo thought excitedly, confirming the purchase.
A surge of knowledge and a sense of mastery spread through him. It was like if his own overwhelming presence had become even more tangible, a silent force that could bend the will of others.
Gojo looked at Naruto, who was still practicing. "Hey, blondie. Wanna see a new trick? Something that'll make you feel like the world is bending to you."
Naruto, always eager to learn, approached expectantly. "Yeah, Gojo-sensei! Teach me!"
Gojo smiled. It had been an interesting day. He'd eliminated an annoying supporting character, earned a ton of points, and, most importantly, acquired a skill that would allow him to add a whole new level of "fun" to his time in this ninja world.
