Before he could ask more, Nami grabbed Mira by the shoulders and shook her violently. "YOU ATE 300 COOKIES IN THREE DAYS AND NOW YOU'RE STUCK WITH THIS DEBT?!"
Mira wobbled like a ragdoll, her voice shaking from the motion. "Worth~ every~ bite~"
The crew stood in stunned silence, trying to process the sheer absurdity of the situation. Usopp slowly slid down to sit on the deck, muttering about "cookie monsters" under his breath. Vivi looked torn between laughter and horror. Even Zoro seemed at a loss for words.
Luffy, completely missing the gravity of the situation, grinned widely. "Hey Mira! Save some for me next time!"
This finally broke the tension as the crew collectively facepalmed. The ridiculousness of it all - the astronomical debt, Mira's shameless gluttony, Luffy's obliviousness - was simply too much. One by one, they began to chuckle despite themselves, the earlier confrontation forgotten in the face of such absurdity.
All except Nami, who was still calculating interest rates in her head and looking increasingly faint.
Mira, who had been silent through the entire exchange, suddenly laughed and walked over to Takuya, linking her arm with his. "Master~ You're so cruel~ Making everyone all serious~" She turned to the crew with a wink. "Don't worry about me~ I'm exactly where I want to be~"
Takuya's voice cut through the silence like steel. "And for your kind information, Ideals without strength to back it up, are just sugar coated pretty words waiting to be crushed. I chose to live on my own terms - and I'll keep choosing it every damn day."
His gaze swept across each of them, stripping away their pretenses. "I don't regret a single decision, because I've never crossed the line you're all so afraid of acknowledging."
The air grew thick as he took a deliberate step forward, his casual demeanor giving way to something far more dangerous. "Don't mistake my restraint for weakness. The fact I haven't broken anyone yet doesn't mean I can't - or won't."
His hand rested lightly on his waist, the unspoken threat hanging in the air between them. "This is my life. My freedom. And I'll burn this whole ship to the waterline before I let anyone take that from me. And you shouldn't stand up for someone who's not guilty of her own deeds."
As soon as Takuya finished, the Straw Hats stood frozen as the air suddenly grew heavy around them. A powerful pressure pulsed from Takuya - not from any weapon, but from his very being. The wooden deck beneath their feet creaked ominously.
Dorry and Broggy's eyes widened in shock. "Conqueror's Haki?!" Dorry gasped, taking an involuntary step back.
"GYAHAHA! Now that's some strong willpower!" Broggy added, though his laughter sounded slightly strained as he felt the weight of Takuya's presence.
The effect was immediate - all around the island, dinosaurs began collapsing unconscious. Birds fell from the sky. Even the waves seemed to calm under the invisible pressure.
"What... what is this?" Usopp stammered, his knees shaking.
Takuya's voice cut through the tension. "This is Haki. Strong enough to knock all of you out if I wanted to." He released the pressure slightly, letting them breathe. "Look around. Every dinosaur just dropped. But you're still standing. Know why?"
The giants answered before anyone else could. "Because he chose not to!" Dorry boomed, wiping sweat from his brow.
"GYAHAHA! Right now, with just this Haki, he's the strongest on your ship!" Broggy added, placing a massive hand on Zoro's shoulder to stop him from drawing his sword.
Nami's hands trembled. "But-"
"Enough!" Dorry interrupted. "You heard the man. He hasn't treated her badly, has he? Plus if someone acts this gluttonous and has no guilt then there's no point in stretching it any further. GYAHAHA!"
The Straw Hats (minus Luffy) stood frozen as Dorry's booming laughter echoed across the deck. One by one, they turned to look at Mira - who was currently lounging against the mast, happily licking cookie crumbs from her fingers without a care in the world.
Nami's eye twitched violently as realization dawned. "Wait... we were defending her... while she's not even slightly remorseful about eating 300 million beri worth of cookies?!"
Usopp slowly facepalmed, dragging his hand down his long nose. "Oh god... we're idiots."
Sanji's visible eye narrowed as he took in Mira's carefree expression. "That woman... she's enjoying this, isn't she?"
Zoro simply grunted and sheathed his swords, his face the picture of annoyed resignation. "Tch. Wasted my time."
Vivi looked between Mira and the others, her expression shifting from concern to exasperation. "We... we really just got played, didn't we?"
Mira chose that moment to stretch luxuriously, like a cat basking in sunlight. "Mmm~ Master's cookies really are the best~" she purred, completely ignoring the tense atmosphere.
Nami's hands clenched into fists. "You... you cookie-devouring demon woman! Do you have any idea how much money that is?!"
Mira blinked innocently. "Enough to buy a small island? Two if you bargain well~" She twirled a lock of hair around her finger. "But really, what's money compared to culinary bliss?"
The entire crew (except Luffy, who was now trying to juggle five oranges) collectively groaned. The absurdity of the situation hit them like a tidal wave - they'd been ready to fight for someone who clearly didn't need or want their protection.
Usopp slumped against the railing. "We're the dumbest pirates in the Grand Line..."
Sanji lit a new cigarette with more force than necessary. "To think I almost gave up my dream for this glutton..."
Zoro just walked away muttering about "wasting good drinking time."
Nami's shoulders slumped in defeat as she looked at Mira's utterly unrepentant smile. "I give up. You two deserve each other."
Dorry and Broggy's laughter redoubled at the crew's expressions. "GYAHAHA! SEE? NO NEED FOR FIGHTING!" Dorry bellowed, slapping his knee.
"THE LITTLE LADY KNOWS WHAT SHE WANTS!" Broggy added between guffaws. "AND IT'S CLEARLY MORE COOKIES!"
Mira blew them a kiss. "Exactly~ Though maybe just one at a time from now on..." she added with a playful wink at Takuya.
The crew could only watch in stunned silence as the reality sank in - they'd been outmaneuvered by a cookie-obsessed woman and a drug dealer with better moral consistency than they'd care to admit. It was, as Usopp would later describe it, "the most embarrassing non-battle defeat in Straw Hat history."
Broggy nodded firmly. "Enjoy your journey! No need for fighting among crewmates!"
The tension broke as the crew slowly relaxed, though the lesson had been clearly delivered. As they turned back to their tasks, the unconscious dinosaurs began stirring on shore - a visible reminder of the power they'd just witnessed.
The giants burst into laughter, their booming voices making the nearby palm trees shake. "GYAHAHA! WE'LL KEEP YOUR SCALY FRIENDS FED, LITTLE MAN DON'T WORRY!" Dorry promised, slapping Takuya on the back hard enough to make his knees buckle for the sudden haki burst, however they weren't able to even make him flinch.
As the Going Merry disappeared over the horizon, Dorry and Broggy stood watching from the shore, their expressions turning serious once the cheerful facade dropped.
"GYAHAHA... that was interesting," Dorry rumbled, scratching his chin thoughtfully as he stared at the vanishing ship.
Broggy nodded, crossing his massive arms. "Advanced Armament Haki... and strong Conqueror's too. That little man's full of surprises."
Dorry's bushy eyebrows furrowed. "Did you see how he didn't even blink when I slapped him? GYAHAHA! Most men would've been flattened!"
"Not just the Haki," Broggy added, his voice uncharacteristically grave. "The control. To knock out only the dinosaurs while leaving his crew untouched? That takes precision we haven't seen in decades."
The two giants exchanged knowing looks as the waves lapped at their feet. "GYAHAHA! Maybe we should visit Elbaf soon," Dorry said with forced cheer.
"The elders would want to hear about this. Not to forget if he's this strong in paradise who knows what kind of chaos he will ensue when he reaches a new world. Elbaf needs to be ready to meet the new generation of warriors."
Broggy simply nodded, his eyes still fixed on the horizon where the ship had vanished. "Aye. This one bears watching."
Meanwhile, aboard the Going Merry...
"Masterrrrr~" Mira whined, draping herself dramatically over Takuya's shoulders as he sat on the deck. "You can't possibly mean no cookies for a whole week! That's cruel and unusual punishment~"
Takuya didn't even look up from the map he was studying. "Two weeks."
Mira gasped, her crimson eyes widening in horror. "WHAT?! That's not fair! I was just-"
"Three weeks," Takuya interrupted calmly, finally meeting her gaze. "Keep talking. I've got all day."
Luffy, who had been eavesdropping while pretending to fish off the side, suddenly perked up. "SHISHISHI! Does that mean I get all her cookies?" His eyes turned to star-shaped pools of excitement.
Takuya nodded. "Every single one."
Mira's face went through several expressions - outrage, betrayal, calculation - before settling on exaggerated despair. She collapsed to her knees, clutching at Takuya's pant leg. "MASTER! YOU MONSTER! HOW COULD YOU GIVE MY PRECIOUS COOKIES TO THIS RUBBER-BRAINED-"
"Four weeks."
Mira's mouth snapped shut with an audible click. She pouted up at him with watery eyes, but Takuya remained unmoved.
Nami, watching from the navigation room, shook her head with a smirk. "Serves her right for causing all that trouble."
Zoro grunted from his training position nearby. "That guy is dangerous."
Sanji exhaled smoke, glancing toward where Takuya sat. "Maybe. But he's right about one thing - he hasn't treated her badly." He paused, then added quietly, "And she did bring this upon herself."
As the ship sailed onward, Mira could be seen sulking in the crow's nest, glaring daggers at Luffy every time he happily munched on "her" cookies below. The message was clear - some lines even she couldn't cross without consequences.
