The power of these gods was truly astonishing.
Tony Stark looked up at the sky, his eyes widening as he watched Thor's figure swirl through the air. Lightning coiled around him like a living beast, and a vortex of elemental force erupted into a thunderous tornado that sent shockwaves across the battlefield. It was a sight Tony had never witnessed before—and one that stirred a deep awe within him.
He couldn't help but admire Thor's raw, divine power.
"This world is full of unknown superpowers. You don't need to worry too much about it," Alex Ray's voice echoed calmly in Tony's ears. Tony turned to glance at him, noting the serenity in Alex's expression. A complex emotion churned in Tony's chest.
"You're right. Earth is facing challenges we've never encountered before," Tony admitted, exhaling slowly. "Aliens, gods, the multiverse… things we used to dismiss as science fiction are now part of our reality."
He looked at Alex again. "This past year, you've opened my eyes to so many things, Alex Ray."
Tony recalled how far he'd come—from a self-indulgent playboy to the armored Avenger, Iron Man. And it all started shifting when Alex entered the picture.
Alex Ray didn't just challenge his understanding of the world—he shattered it.
But lately, that awe was tinged with anxiety. The threats ahead were only growing stronger, and Tony felt his current power wasn't enough to keep up. That feeling gnawed at him. He wasn't the type to rely on others.
He was Tony Stark, damn it.
"I'll take care of everything," Alex said, almost as if reading his mind.
Tony frowned at that.
Sure, he appreciated the sentiment—but the words stuck in his throat.
Everything depends on you now? What if you become the enemy one day…? he thought bitterly as he watched Alex's back.
Their conversation ended as Thor finally unleashed a devastating surge of power.
With a thunderous war cry, Thor hurled Mjolnir—his enchanted hammer—directly into the Destroyer's head. The strike exploded with a flash of blue lightning, sending a shockwave through the ground. The towering automaton crumpled, its metallic frame crashing into the earth.
Thor didn't even glance at the wreckage. Instead, he strode confidently toward Alex Ray.
The Destroyer's severed head rolled across the ground like a smoking chimney until it landed at Tony's feet. He immediately bent down, eyes gleaming, fingers twitching with curiosity.
Alex noticed and bumped him with an elbow. "Maintain your image," he whispered. "You're a billionaire, not a scavenger. Don't let Thor see you like this. We'll grab it after he leaves."
Tony groaned but straightened up. "I'm telling you now, I will take this thing. It's a goldmine. My next armor upgrade depends on it. But yeah, you're right… gotta keep it classy."
Alex said nothing more as Thor arrived. He clapped for him, giving an approving nod.
"Nice. You've finally regained your strength. This is the Thor I know."
"All thanks to you," Thor said, his voice full of gratitude. "If it hadn't been for your help, I wouldn't have reunited with my companions or discovered the truth. I thought the world had turned its back on me… but it was you, Alex Ray. You were behind it all."
Thor stepped forward and embraced him tightly. "From now on, you are my brother. If you ever need me, I'll walk through fire for you."
Then he turned toward Tony. "Who's this?"
"Tony Stark," Alex said. "One of the smartest minds on the planet. He helped me save you."
Thor looked him over. "Smart or not, problems are easily solved with a hammer," he muttered.
Still, he extended a hand. "Thor Odinson, Prince of Asgard. Thank you for your help."
Tony put on a professional smile and shook his hand. "Pleasure's mine. Heard a lot about you."
Thor exhaled, his expression turning serious. "As much as I'd love to party and drink with you, Asgard needs me. I have to return immediately. Alex, Tony—you're both welcome in Asgard anytime."
Urgency flashed in his eyes. Thor knew Loki was still at large, and the longer he waited, the greater the danger to Asgard. His brother's ambition and treachery could not be left unchecked.
As Thor departed, Alex breathed a sigh of relief.
Go home, you mischievous god, he thought. Don't wreck Earth again. And don't come looking for me either.
Tony, meanwhile, stared hungrily at the Destroyer's remains. His fingers twitched with excitement.
We need to get back. I have to study this thing. Reverse engineer its internal structure, decipher its energy source…
Thor didn't linger. He launched himself skyward, heading toward the Rainbow Bridge—the Bifrost. It was the only route left open to him, and he needed to act quickly.
Alex and Tony exchanged a glance and nodded in sync.
Alex raised a hand, conjuring a teleportation portal with a flick of chaos magic. Tony gathered the wreckage of the Destroyer, securing it with his repulsor harness. Together, they stepped into the portal, vanishing in a shimmer of crimson light—bound for Hell's Kitchen.
This battle had been a whirlwind, but it was far from fruitless. All three of them had gained something from it… all except Alexander Pierce, who arrived too late.
Pierce stood among the wreckage of the S.H.I.E.L.D. field base, his expression dark and twisted with fury. The scene before him—burned-out vehicles, scorched earth, and missing tech—only stoked his anger.
"Damn Alex Ray!" he roared. "He took the entire robot! That's S.H.I.E.L.D. property! How could he be so selfish?!"
Asgard – Royal Palace
"It seems your plan failed," Kaito Daiki said with a smirk, leaning casually against a golden pillar in the throne room.
Loki sat slouched on the throne, his knuckles tight against the armrest. At Kaito's words, his expression soured—but he kept his composure.
"It's of no consequence. Everything is under control," Loki said coldly.
His attempt to exile Thor had failed, yes—but he wasn't discouraged. He had still seized the throne of Asgard, and that was victory enough.
"I've already frozen Heimdall with the Casket of Ancient Winters. Thor has no way back," he continued, as much to Kaito as to himself.
Kaito—better known as Kamen Rider Diend—looked unimpressed. His eyes sparkled with subtle mockery.
"Maybe," he said, turning toward the distant Rainbow Bridge. "But don't be so sure."
Loki's brow furrowed.
Kaito said no more. His attention drifted back to thoughts of Alex Ray. That man's aura—it pulsed with something rare, something valuable. A treasure unlike anything he'd ever encountered.
Yes, he'd let this little drama with Loki play out.
But when the time came, he would go find Alex Ray himself. After all, treasure hunters live for challenges—and this one looked like the mother of them all
