Chapter 224 - Chapter 224 : Shock, Prince 2 found out he was not his biological son and was so angry that the king

Deep within the solemn and mysterious palace of Asgard lies the secret of the treasure house.

Today, Loki finally stepped into this forbidden land, his eyes fixed on the ice box pulsing with mysterious power before him.

Loki's face was filled with greed and desire, as if he had already envisioned himself holding the Ice Box and ruling over Asgard. His heartbeat quickened, every cell in his body trembling at the prospect of the immense power soon to be his.

Yet beside Loki, a figure appeared unusually relaxed.

Kaito Daiki, the man who had just sealed a deal with Loki, lazily leaned against the wall, squinting at Loki and the Ice Box.

"Is this the treasure you mentioned? Doesn't look like much," Kaito said, a hint of disdain in his tone. "I think the glove next door is way more impressive. Mind if I take that instead?"

Loki frowned sharply at the remark.

He turned to Kaito, a warning gleam flashing in his eyes.

"If you want to take something, you get to take only one thing," Loki's voice was thick with disgust and reluctance. He clearly regarded himself as the rightful king of Asgard, and everything here as his property.

Naturally, he wasn't pleased that this mortal was eyeing his treasures.

Loki looked down on the mortal Kaito Daiki. He never expected this man to transform into a strange knight, summoning many knights matching his strength.

After weighing his options, Loki chose to cooperate with this ill-tempered man. He wouldn't admit he was unable to defeat Kaito, so he resorted to this last-ditch alliance.

Secretly, Loki had resolved that once he claimed the throne of Asgard, he would kill Kaito. How dare a mere mortal show such insolence!

Kaito completely ignored Loki's sour, hateful look. He was used to such expressions by now.

He never pretended to be a good man. He just enjoyed seeing others frustrated yet powerless against him.

Since arriving in Asgard, Kaito had chosen Loki as his partner because their personalities clicked. The other guy named Thor reminded him of someone called Gates.

He was curious to see how far Loki could go. Following him might mean more treasure—and more fun.

With that thought, a mischievous smile crept onto Kaito's lips.

He didn't restrain his desire despite Loki's warning. Instead, he stared even more greedily at the Ice Box.

Just as Loki reached out to open the Ice Box, a voice rang out sharply behind him.

"Stop!"

Loki froze.

"Am I cursed?" he asked, spinning around.

"No," the voice replied.

"Then what am I?"

"You are my son."

The figure behind them was Odin.

Odin's gaze swept over Kaito before settling slowly on Loki.

"You shouldn't bring a stranger into the treasury. Besides, this one doesn't seem very peaceful."

The playful smile faded from Kaito's face, replaced by solemnity under Odin's penetrating aura.

He sensed the immense power emanating from Odin, realizing the old man was no ordinary being.

Loki already knew deep down he wasn't Odin's biological son, but a member of the Frost Giant clan.

He was a trophy, carelessly placed in a corner of Asgard.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't earn Odin's recognition, let alone the throne.

He was a stepping stone, a tool to highlight Thor's glory.

He couldn't help but wonder why Odin adopted him, and what right he had to order him around.

Loki shouted, his voice filled with confusion and anger, "You have your own blood, a son like Thor. Why did you adopt me?"

Kaito watched intently, intrigued.

He had just tagged along looking for treasure but stumbled into this family drama.

The reason the second prince Loki seized power and usurped the throne was that he wasn't Odin's biological son!

Not only could he get treasure here, but also witness a juicy spectacle.

At this moment, the treasure was less interesting than the drama.

"Tell me! There must be a reason why you adopted me!" Loki roared, his voice echoing through the hall, revealing all his hidden wounds.

He had lost all former elegance and composure, driven by pure anger and refusal.

Odin remained silent for a long moment. His eyes, deep and complex, locked on Loki.

He turned toward Kaito, who had been quietly observing.

Suddenly, a fierce aura burst from Odin's body. He readied to strike Kaito.

"No one is to hear our family affairs," Odin said coldly.

He wouldn't tolerate outsiders prying into his secrets, especially Loki's life story.

Seeing this, Kaito understood it wasn't the time to be a spectator.

Though disappointed to miss the rest of the show, he knew staying might cause trouble—even he might not best Odin.

Picking up a stone tablet nearby, Kaito summoned a dimensional wall and prepared to leave.

"I'll be going now. See you later, Loki."

Without giving Odin a chance to act, Kaito disappeared through the portal, clutching the Tablet of Life.

Before leaving, he glanced back at the furious Loki.

A complex emotion flickered in his eyes as he spoke slowly, meaning heavy in his words:

"Loki, I believe one day Asgardians and Frost Giants will form an alliance, seeking eternal peace. You are the key to that alliance."

Loki's eyes widened in disbelief.

He stood frozen, unable to speak.

He never imagined being mentioned in such a context, let alone as the linchpin of peace between two races.

"So now you think I'm useless, imprisoned here?" Loki's voice trembled with anger and bitterness.

He felt used by Odin.

Odin sighed deeply, his face softening with affection.

"You are my son. I only want to protect you. The world outside is too dangerous. I don't want you to get hurt."

Loki's anger only deepened hearing this.

Stepping forward, he challenged Odin:

"You say you love me, but you know I'll never sit on the throne. You use me as a pawn to balance the Frost Giants!"

Odin looked at Loki's fierce passion, feeling helpless.

He was about to respond when a sharp pain struck him.

Clutching his chest, his face instantly paled, and he collapsed heavily to the ground.
