Chapter 47 - close to perfection!

"Well, why don't you combine a few?" Raitha said as she appeared above Shyam's head like she were to be a Queen.

"Combine?" Shyam asked.

"Yes. You can combine many books to create one book that has fewer or more flaws according to which books you combine."

"And... how can I do that?" he asked.

"Eh, just hover one book above the other or select multiple and do the same in the collection window," she answered.

With a faint 'hm' he opened his and then held the book cover while dragging it around the window. It's like a drag and drop feature huh he wondered as he placed it upon one of the similar books and suddenly the two combined, and he got a third book.

It had no title and its cover was plain white, below it was an edit option.

"Wow! It really did work!" he murmured as he opened the book and surprisingly, it now had fewer flaws in it. He combined more and more books on top of the first one to create an even better book, and after combining over two hundred books on it, that book reached close to perfection! Which is excellent tier.

The book was now a little thicker but it had more, and accurate information in it, so he wasted no time and started reading the entire book about the history of Rājarka and the many cities of this country.

Turns out, Rājarka was never a kingdom but a country of recognised title.

The six important cities of Rājarka are:

• Mahadanta — known for its elephant cavalry, also the city with the Beast Tamer group.

• Taralaya — known for its best supply of aquatic food and beautiful scenery.

• Devhira — known for its calm nature and resting place for travellers, also the city with the Alchemist group.

• Kanthapuri — known for its vast amount of entertainment methods, from music to art to acting. Also the city with the Music Master group.

• Nirkone — the water trading hub of Rājarka, not just fish but materials and food supply all. Also the city with the Blacksmith group.

• Vyomsetu — known for its supply of metal and weapons. Also the city with the Apothecary and Painter group.

• Jatakara — the supplier of animal food.

There was a lot more information about these places, along with their known history and predicted future.

Library is like a heaven of information! I should try to get more books on things after this...

He whispered as he left the library.

It had already become night time by the time he finished his reading session.

Yet the maid still stood still.

Her lips moved as if she murmured something.

'1289... 1290... 1291...'

Has she been counting while he studied in that library? How insane is this maid job exactly?

"Oh! Sir Shyam, your delivery had arrived while you were in the library. Would you like it put in your room?" the maid said.

"Sure," he replied.

"Also, dinner's ready. If you'd follow me to the dining room please."

With a nod they both started walking toward the dining room. He hadn't eaten anything since he fainted, his hunger level had reached its peak, though due to him staying at another's house he couldn't just eat from their kitchen, for which he hadn't ate anything yet.

After reaching the dining room he was introduced to way too many dishes which, for how hungry he was, were more than what he needed.

Not to mention he could sense a bad-tasting black meat laying at the middle of the table that looked awfully like the ogre boss he defeated with Ravina.

At the corner of the table there sat Ravina with a spoon and a fork before her.

She wore a yellow t-shirt and a yellow skirt.

Her leg had healed almost completely through the level upgration, though she still had the bandage on for security.

He went and sat near her chair.

"Oh! Hello Shyam." Her voice sounded almost soulless as if someone had just extracted her soul and left her body behind. Completely empty, nothing like the Ravina before.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Nothing," she said as she picked up the fork and pierced it through the meat on her plate.

Well, now she seems angry. Just how do women work damnit? he thought as he picked up his own fork.

"I heard you were having fun with a maid somewhere alone..." she whispered as she spiked the meat a few times more before taking a small bite of it.

"Wait, are you angry because I was with a maid?!" he asked, surprised by what she said.

And why does it matter anyway? Didn't she already confirm she doesn't like him? The way she behaved around him didn't feel more than a normal friendship at least.

Then how come she's angry he stayed alone with a maid?

"Of course I am! Who knows what terrible horror you may have done to her during your alone time.

So much so that she never returned before you let her go.

It cannot even be thought, to think you of all people would do such a thing is just awful!" She chortled as she spoke the last sentence.

"Yai am kidding. What did you do exactly anyway all day?" she asked.

Her voice now calmer and friendlier, as if she didn't just threaten him like that.

These women will never be understood if they keep acting this way, NEVER!

"I was just flipping through the library books a little bit," he said as he put a slice of the food ahead of him. The taste, it was awfully familiar as if he had eaten something like this even in his previous world many times to almost never forget the taste.

It was chicken! With some healing herbs and energy recovery grass to both increase the taste and give a sense of freshness.

After eating dinner both Shyam and Ravina fell asleep in their own rooms.

SUDDENLY! he feels a bit cold.

As if someone's pouring water above him as he sleeps. His eyes opened widely midnight, but there was no one. Not even a single drop of water was above him or the thick blanket above him. Did he hallucinate?

Outside it was raining, silently as if even that didn't want to bother him.

He slightly opened the windows and stared out the house. There weren't any people walking around, but there was one shop still open with its light dimly lit.

"I wish I could show you just how beautiful this world is—Varnika..." he breathed.

"A fight huh? Well, I already accepted so there's no running away! Let's practice!" he motivated himself as he shut closed the windows and sat above his bed to practice.

Ravina had already surpassed him, he didn't want to fall behind her. He still needed to fill a gap as wide as a castle wall.

But to lose confidence is to give up!

So never give up!

Hours flew faster than flies and in just a blink of an eye morning arrived, but his eyes were still closed as if he had fallen asleep sitting.

Slowly he redirected his mana from his mana pool to every inch of his body to push to the limits, that is what he was supposed to do in order to reach tier two sub stage four.

"More!" he muttered.

"Just a little more!"

His energy path almost shredded into countless pieces while surpassing this tier but at last he finally did it. With a domb sound his level bumped to tier two sub stage four.

Suddenly his body started to purify once more as if the old skin he had, just wore off like a snake.

His hair grew just a little more, barely noticeable, and his hearing became much better!

He opened his eyes.

"Yuhoo," a woman sitting above his lap while staring into his soul suddenly spoke.

"Fuck you!" The words left his mouth so fast she barely heard them, so to know it she asked,

"What?"

"I.. uh... I, meant who — are you?"

Blue eyes, blue hair and blue long dress with a slight eyebrow cut on the left eye.

Her face as innocent as a newborn.

"Do you not remember me, Master?"

She said, her voice just a little bit familiar now.

"Master?... Wait! Raitha‽" He exclaimed, so surprised that his cute little system fairy had turned into a sexy fine woman.

He tried to look away but her literal shining beauty could not allow him to.

"Yes! After you became stronger I finally got the ability to transform into a human as well bu—" before her sentence could finish she suddenly shrank into the cute short Raitha Shyam knew her as.

"But... I can't keep it up for long, yahaha," she stated as she jumped above his head.

"Shall we begin our day, peasant master?"

She said as she raised her hand like a queen ordering her soldiers to join the battlefield.

"You have already ruined my morning by doing this," Shyam muttered as he got out of bed and just as he was about to touch the door handle—

It opened automatically.

Automatic door opening system?

He thought as he stared at the opening door.

Suddenly a foot stepped in, much like Ravina's.

"Hey! From today we start training, at least that's what this person says," she said as she pointed towards an old man who wore a white training outfit and long white beard.

Of course it isn't he murmured, still thinking about the door.

But then, her words caught his sudden attention.

"Training?!" he almost shouted.

"Yes, Shyam. From today I will be teaching you how to fight! So that you become a fine fighter and defeat the so-called SAGAR!" The old man was in high spirit, probably high on alcohol as well. But he seemed motivated.

After a minute of introduction Shyam followed the man to the empty ground behind the mayor's house.

Apparently, he was in charge of training all the police force for Vyomsetu.

But now that Shyam had been chosen to fight Sagar, he was now in charge of training him!
