CHAPTER 43: RISE OF THE HEAVENLY PARADISE
The sky shimmered with fragments of twilight, golden-red streaks dancing above the mountain cliffs where a new base stood—the Heavenly Paradise.
Built by Shen and his reunited friends, this floating sanctuary was layered with magic: floating gardens, crystal springs, drifting walkways over clouds, and a massive central tower—its core forged from the remains of fallen Arcane beasts.
Kenya crossed his arms, eyes gleaming. "Took us weeks of magic tuning, dimensional binding, and spirit-level shaping…"
Ruke smirked. "But we made a base no enemy will ever forget."
Eliz, her demeanor more mature than before, stood quietly near the edge of a floating balcony. Her hair danced in the wind, her eyes focused on the glowing runes engraved in the stone beneath them. "This place… it doesn't just look beautiful. It feels like hope."
Shen stepped forward, placing his hand on the final rune seal. As the light shot into the sky, the clouds parted—and in that instant, a ripple of ancient energy spread across dimensions.
A few moments later—BOOM—a shadow flickered in the sky, descending like a falcon.
Commander Ryulga landed on the platform, his coat whipping in the wind, sword strapped behind him. A soft smirk touched his face.
"You brats made a floating kingdom, huh? Figures."
The team saluted instantly.
Shen turned and grinned. "Hey guys, remember what I said before?"
Kenya laughed. "Yeah… we know."
Eliz nodded, her smile warm. "Of course."
Ruke's eye twitched. "Tch… I'll say it in my way."
The group burst into laughter. Even Ryulga allowed a soft chuckle to slip past his lips.
Shen turned back toward the glowing horizon and raised his hand high. The wind wrapped around them like a protective barrier.
"Then let's do what we were born for…"
Shen:
> "Let's drift."
