Chapter 42 – Reunion of Fire and Thunder
The golden evening sun dipped low across the ruined valley, painting shadows across cracked stones and scorched craters. Ash from the fallen Arcane General still floated like ghostly snow.
A soft breeze stirred.
Then came a voice—loud, cheerful, and absolutely unmistakable.
"BIG HAPPY HIIIII!!!"
Kenya flinched.
Ruke's eye twitched. "No... it can't be—"
From the swirling wind, a figure strolled in, arms wide like the moment was his stage. Shen Karguro, cloaked in black and violet threads of dimensional fabric, grinned from ear to ear.
Behind him, Commander Ryulga followed silently, his hands in his pockets and pipe between his lips, eyes half-lidded in amusement.
"Kenya! Eliz! Ruke! You all look... tired," Shen said dramatically, hands behind his head.
Ruke took a sharp breath, then growled, stepping forward. "Don't. Say. That. Hi."
Shen's grin only grew. "But I practiced it during my entire training with Ryulga! You're hurting my performance!"
Ruke's aura sparked violently. "I said—DON'T!"
Without warning, lightning exploded across the field.
Shen stepped sideways, vanishing and reappearing behind Ruke in a shadow blur. "You wanna go? Really?"
Their eyes locked.
Kenya sighed. "Here we go again."
Eliz backed up instantly. "This… is going to wreck the whole continent, isn't it?"

Legendary Clash – Shen vs. Ruke, Round 2
In a flash, Ruke summoned the full force of his thunderlight, his body glowing with ancient electric sigils.
"Let's end this from where it started—Volume 1, Chapter 1!" he roared.
Shen's hand snapped outward. "Shadow Summoning: Void Panther Rush!"
The battlefield exploded in a clash of summoned shadows and lightning beasts, fighting midair at breakneck speed.
Then came the fists.
Their punches collided so fast, sound struggled to catch up. Each impact released shockwaves that shattered distant mountaintops.
Ruke spun into the air and released a Thunder Light Spiral, but Shen blinked through the attack and raised one arm.
His eye turned blue-black.
"Supreme Lord Eye—Elemental Spirit Control!"
All elemental energy in the area—including Ruke's thunder—froze midair.
"I've had enough waiting. Let's go up a notch."
Dark mist surged around Shen's body as he transitioned into Dark Mage Form 1, magic radiating like a collapsing star.
Ruke roared, leaping forward with full power.
"Then we END this—THUNDER STRIKE!!"
"VOID STRIKE!!" Shen shouted.
The two attacks collided—
Light vs. Void.
Thunder vs. Darkness.
A massive explosion swallowed the sky, cracking clouds apart and shaking reality itself.
