Chapter 130 - Chapter 130: Lone Red, No Longer Rising!

[Haki] is a latent power possessed by all people of the sea—and not just humans alone.

Under normal circumstances.

Whether it's [Conqueror's Haki], [Armament Haki], or [Observation Haki],

these [Haki] abilities typically require rigorous training and tempering to awaken and master.

But the seas always have their "lucky ones"—or perhaps "freaks of talent."

They are born with the ability to wield [Haki].

Lone Red, Patrick Redfield, possessed an innate talent for [Observation Haki].

This Observation Haki gift allowed Redfield to directly read the true thoughts of other living beings.

However.

Unlike a certain "natural destroyer" who wasted his talents throughout his life (and whose name shall not be mentioned),

Redfield not only mastered his innate mind-reading Observation Haki ability,

but also built upon it through battle and training, acquiring another new Observation Haki skill—one known as "Foresight"!

Reading minds, foreseeing the future.

This unique and formidable [Observation Haki] was the true foundation of Lone Red's dominance over the seas in his prime.

Back then,

Lone Red, relying solely on his own power, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Roger Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates.

Now,

it was Golden Lion II's turn to experience the overwhelming pressure of this top-tier Observation Haki from the seas!

Golden Lion II, swift as a swallow, brandished his twin swords [Cherry Ten] and [Withered Tree], darting straight toward Redfield and unleashing a storm of relentless attacks.

But Redfield had already activated his [Observation Haki] capable of "Foresight," imprinting every movement of Golden Lion II into his mind.

Not just the current trajectory of Golden Lion II's attacks—

even the future scenes seconds ahead were all captured by Redfield's [Observation Haki].

Coupled with Redfield's already exceptional swordsmanship, he effortlessly dodged every one of Golden Lion II's strikes.

Golden Lion II's [Cherry Ten] and [Withered Tree] carved sharp arcs through the air, their gleaming blades weaving dazzling sword lights, each slash carrying lethal force.

Yet Redfield strolled calmly through the storm of blades, his "Foresight" [Observation Haki] allowing him to evade every deadly strike with ease.

And while dodging, Redfield still had the leisure to taunt Golden Lion II.

"Not bad swordsmanship."

Between words, Redfield sidestepped a slash from [Withered Tree] and a thrust from [Cherry Ten].

"But kid, you're still far from the real Shiki's level!"

In his prime, Lone Red had roamed the seas for years, clashing with countless formidable foes—among them, the Golden Lion Shiki.

Golden Lion II paid no heed to Rayleigh's words, his eyes glowing crimson as he pushed his [Observation Haki] to its absolute limit.

The reason he had sought out Lone Red immediately upon entering Infinite Hell, ignoring the other prisoners, was precisely because of Lone Red's formidable strength and mastery of [Observation Haki].

Such an opponent was the perfect whetstone to hone his own [Haki]!

Treating Rayleigh as nothing more than a training dummy, Golden Lion II relentlessly sharpened his [Observation Haki], chasing that elusive spark of enlightenment.

Even if he couldn't replicate Rayleigh's innate ability to "read minds,"

At the very least, he could grasp the fundamentals of "Foresight"!

Engrossed in battle, Golden Lion II continuously channeled his [Observation Haki].

But Rayleigh was growing increasingly irritated by this one-sided fight where he could only evade without countering.

In his prime, he had been a great pirate who carved his way from Paradise into the New World with nothing but an [Umbrella Sword].

Yet now, fresh out of his cell,

Rayleigh was far from his peak condition—and without a weapon to boot.

He had no intention of wasting time on this brat.

This was Impel Down.

After years of imprisonment, he had finally found a fool to break his chains.

He couldn't afford to squander this chance!

"Kid, we've got company in Infinite Hell!"

Dodging Golden Lion II's relentless sword strikes, Rayleigh used his [Observation Haki] to scan the surroundings.

"It's Impel Down's wardens—a Chief Warden and a Warden Chief, accompanied by four idiots—"

"Ah, the Warden Beasts."

The "guests" Rayleigh sensed were none other than Domino and Sadie, who had originally planned to infiltrate Infinite Hell to free Shiryu of the Rain.

Their progress had been slower than expected.

Golden Lion II had simply moved too fast, reaching Infinite Hell before they could.

The Deputy Warden and Warden Chief had hesitated on their next move—

Until the surveillance room sent word of a "fortunate" development:

Golden Lion II had released Lone Red, but for some reason, the two were now locked in combat!

Seizing the moment,

Domino made the decisive call—

While Golden Lion II and Lone Red were distracted, they would storm into Infinite Hell and free Shiryu of the Rain!

But neither Domino nor Sadie had anticipated one thing…

Their presence had been detected the moment they stepped foot into Infinite Hell.

"Those two women came here to release that Deputy Warden, 'Shiryu of the Rain,'"

Rayleigh continued his verbal assault, trying to shake off this persistent pest.

"Aren't you going to stop them?"

Golden Lion II, his eyes burning red, swung [Cherry Ten] and [Withered Tree] tirelessly, like an emotionless machine.

Shiryu?

Domino?

Sadie?

The actions of these people were completely outside Golden Lion II's considerations.

However, the next name called out by Redfield caused Golden Lion II's movements to slow slightly.

"Marine Headquarters Admiral! Kizaru!"

While fending off Golden Lion II's attacks, Redfield quickly scanned Domino's thoughts.

"Impel Down has already contacted him!"

No sooner said than done.

A yellow flash lit up Infinite Hell.

Marine Headquarters Admiral, Kizaru, had arrived!

Upon entering Infinite Hell, Kizaru immediately flickered like a beam of light, directly traversing to the edge of the battlefield between Golden Lion II and Redfield.

"You really do look like Golden Lion Shiki~"

Kizaru first glanced at the tattered, gaunt-faced Lone Red, then focused his attention on the mastermind behind this "Impel Down breach incident."

"But this ends here, alright?"

"Kizaru..."

Golden Lion II involuntarily halted his offensive, glumly staring at the Marine Headquarters admiral who had descended like a divine soldier.

"Why is it always you?"

"So this is the current generation's Marine Admiral? I wonder how he compares to Garp, Sengoku, and Zephyr from back in the day."

Nearby, Redfield seized the opportunity to catch his breath, his glowing red eyes fixed on Kizaru.

"Trying to capture both me and this kid in one fell swoop...

"Quite the confidence!"

"Old man, thank you for the compliment~"

Kizaru said leisurely.

"And you, young man who looks so much like Golden Lion in his youth, have we met before?"

"Sigh... Now that you're here, this isn't fun anymore."

Golden Lion II sighed as dark Armament Haki coiled around his [Cherry Ten].

"Enough playing around!"

[More-More Fruit: Hundredfold Speed]!

Kizaru's pupils contracted slightly as he prepared himself fully for battle.

But to his surprise, Golden Lion II's target wasn't him, the Marine Admiral, but rather Lone Red, who should have been on the same side!

Redfield's Observation Haki sent him frantic warnings.

The "Foresight" of his Observation Haki showed him a vision he absolutely couldn't accept.

'Move! My body!'

Redfield strained with all his might to move, but his aged body refused to respond.

With the boost from [More-More Fruit: Hundredfold Speed], Golden Lion II erupted with incredible speed, appearing before Redfield as if teleporting through space.

"Slash Assault!"

Golden Lion II swung his [Cherry Ten] with tremendous force.

Completely caught off guard, Redfield couldn't even manage a simple defensive stance before [Cherry Ten] cleaved into his body.

A violent force transmitted through the blade directly into Redfield's body.

Lone Red was sent flying back toward his "private cell," leaving a trail of blood in his wake.

Boom!

Redfield crashed heavily into the prison bars, leaving a human-shaped imprint before smashing into the walls of Impel Down behind him, unleashing a deafening explosion.

Before Golden Lion II's eyes appeared an ordinary seven-star Constellation Trophy.

[Constellation Trophy: Lone Red Patrick Redfield]

[Trophy Rating: ★★★★★★★]

Another seven-star Grand Prize Trophy obtained!

Golden Lion II let out a long breath.

Kizaru watched as Golden Lion II suddenly attacked Lone Red, couldn't help but lightly stroke his chin.

"Won't this be too heartbreaking for the old man?"

Kizaru feigned concern as he reminded.

"Casually attacking a fellow pirate ally... how terrifying~"

"Kizaru."

Golden Lion II stored away the Constellation Trophy, his calm gaze settling on the unflappable admiral.

"If you care so much about pirates, why not abandon the darkness for the light?"

Abandon... the darkness?

Kizaru blinked.

"What are you saying~"

"Don't tell me, don't tell me?"

A brilliant smile suddenly bloomed across Golden Lion II's face.

"The righteous Navy Admiral wouldn't actually enjoy being the Celestial Dragons' lapdog, would he?"
