Receiving no reply from Kuni, Aether said,"Are you gonna ignore me like this?"
"No!" Kuni visibly panicked, "It's not like that umm.."
"What was that about Kuni?"
"Nothing really, I was-"
"Nup, don't try to make excuses," Aether started, "I know you."
Kuni didn't think this day would come so he never rehearsed this situation at all. Damn Aether and his unpredictable ass that made him fall like this.
"I was drunk." That was the dumbest excuse he has ever made but Aether's presence made him do dumb things.
"I know you weren't" Aether deadpanned
"I was."
"So you go around kissing people when drunk?"
"No.." Kuni replied meekly, "Only you." he added after a thought.
"Do you like me or something?" Aether went straight to the point as he had enough of his excuses.
"No," Kuni said lamely and before he could hold his stupid tongue he blurted, "I was just experimenting."
"What the actual fuck Kuni? Are you a scientist now?"
"I just wanted to see your reaction."
"I cannot believe this- Am I-Am I a joke to you?" Aether said, getting up, his face red with anger.
"Why are you getting so worked up? It was just a kiss." Kuni knows hers saying the most stupid and unreasonable things right now but the jerk in him doesn't know how to handle this type of direct confrontation.
Aether looked at Kuni as if he had grown two heads.
"I see how it is." Aether said with finality, anger and tears in his eyes, he turned to leave the room only to be stopped by Kunis tight grip on his wrist.
"No." Kuni said in panic, holding on tight.
"Let go."
"I didn't mean any of that.I-I" Kuni couldn't handle Aethers disappointed yet expectant expression so he did something very out of character. He hugged Aether, surprising them both, holding him tight in his arms and confessed.
"I'm a liar." he started, "I lie and lie and lie until-until people I care about leave me for good." he takes a deep breath as Aether gently reciprocates his hug, "I think I like you."
He hears an audible gasp as he loosens his grip on Aether, allowing him to leave whenever he wants but Aether holds onto him.
"I'm sorry for everything- I like you and I did that because of my pathetic emotions. You have all the right to curse at me and hit me if you want." he slowly lets go of Aether.
"I know we can't be friends anymore, I ruined that for you."
"Oh Kuni." Aether comments with understanding in his voice, as if he had been there before as well. "I don't know what to say."

Their conversation was interrupted by their roommates coming back, two hours had gone by so fast and they went to the museum as scheduled.
The air was a bit awkward between the two of them but it was inevitable after their conversation. While the class was exploring the museum, Kuni decided to take a seat saying he had not been feeling well and texted Ajax.
