Jason stepped into the familiar base, The Cursed Ones headquarters hadn't changed—concrete walls lit by flickering overhead lights, the hum of equipment and distant clatter of sparring echoing through the base.

The moment the heavy door slid shut behind him, four familiar faces turned his way.

Harley was the first to react, throwing her arms up with a wild grin. "Well, well, look who's back from his mystical spa retreat! Thought you went off for a bubble bath and forgot us!"

Jason let out a dry chuckle. "Yeah, something like that."

Red Hood crossed his arms and stepped forward, his mask hiding any emotion, but the tension in his stance said enough. "Where the hell have you been?" His voice was flat, demanding—not angry, but close.

Jason met his gaze evenly, guilt creeping in. "Had some problems I needed to deal with. Dangerous ones... I didn't want to drag any of you into it."

He paused, then exhaled. "I'm sorry for leaving without saying anything. Especially as your leader. I won't do it again… hopefully."

Livewire, who had been hovering nearby with her usual scowl, scoffed and waved a hand dismissively. "Tch. I don't care if you vanish again. Less drama for me. I'm going back to training."

Without another word, she turned on her heel and stalked off toward the sparring rings.

"Tough crowd," Harley muttered, giving Jason a wink. "But hey, it's good to see ya not dead. I'm off too. Don't go poof again, okay?"

Red Hood gave Jason one last look, nodded silently, then followed Livewire.

That left only one—Katana. She approached quietly, her expression composed as always. Then, to Jason's surprise, she bowed.

He blinked. "You don't have to do that, Katana."

She straightened. "You are our leader. You may not realize it, but they all look up to you."

Jason scratched the back of his head, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips. "Yeah, well… I feel bad. I didn't mean to make you all worry."

"We've been training," Katana replied calmly. "Hard. Everyone has pushed themselves. But we were also searching for you. Night and day."

Jason's chest tightened. "...I'm sorry," he said again, quieter this time.

Katana gave a small nod. "You're here now. That's what matters."

She turned and walked back toward the training area. Jason watched her for a moment, then took a breath and followed.

"I guess I'll see how much stronger you all got while I was gone," he said with a grin.

....

The walls were alive with the low hum of cursed energy barriers—each leading to a training chambers built specifically for each one of the Cursed Ones.

He stopped at the first door.

Inside, Red Hood stood in a wide-open digital shooting range. Countless targets—some cursed constructs, others high-speed dummies—flashed in and out of view. Sweat trickled down his brow, his breathing measured. He holstered his twin pistols, both modified to channel cursed energy.

A new wave of dummies appeared.

Jason watched as Hood narrowed his eyes. Time slowed.

Bang. Black Flash. Bang. Black Flash.

The bullets exploded forward, laced with cursed energy—but not upon firing. No, Jason saw it—Red Hood was doing the impossible. He imbued the bullet with cursed energy not when firing, but exactly when the bullet was 0.000001 seconds from impact.

The second dummy disintegrated from the hit. Jason's eyes widened slightly. Red Hood let out a growl and fired a third.

Bang—missed. No Black Flash.

"Damn it," Red Hood muttered. "Still stuck at two…"

'Black Flash isn't something you consistently hit...From what I remember the record for a Jujutsu sorcerer was four.....And later the main character of the show hit....8.....And those two were masters of this....To think Todd would consistently hit a two consecutive Black flashes.....Each time and with a gun too.....I guess DC world is really full of monsters' thought Jason as he observed Red Hood's training....

He then moved on

Harley spun wildly in her training chamber—her signature chaos fused now with something deadlier: cursed precision. Targets of bone and cursed metal flew toward her, and she met each one with a joyful, psychotic cackle and—

Crack! Her bat surged with violet cursed energy. Black Flash.

Another came—CRACK! Second.

A final one—BOOM! Third.

She twirled to a halt in a ballerina pose, panting and grinning. "That's three, baby!"

Jason stood at the observation window, blinking.

"...Wait. That was three?" he muttered, stepping inside. "Harley… do you have any idea how rare that is? That's... That's not normal."

She swung the bat onto her shoulder, still grinning. "Oh, you saw that? Neat!"

Jason narrowed his eyes. "Okay—seriously. Walk me through it. What were you thinking when you pulled that off?"

Harley tilted her head, eyes wide like a child caught with crayons on the wall. "Umm... well, I just imagine Joker's stupid face… right in front of me… and I think, 'Wouldn't it be nice to bash that in real good?' Then—wham!—boom, cursed energy! Works like a charm."

Jason stared. Blinked again. Then laughed, half in disbelief. "You're a lunatic."

She gave a mock bow. "Why, thank you!"

"No—seriously. You're an insane genius," Jason muttered as he turned to leave, shaking his head. "Three consecutive Black Flashes… damn."

She twirled again, humming. "I'm gonna get four next time. Just gotta picture him smiling. That really gets me goin'."

Jason muttered under his breath as he exited, "I need to re-evaluate everything I know about Black flashes…"

Next up was livewire

In her chamber, electric storms surged in every direction. Livewire stood at the center of it, cursed energy crackling from her body as she absorbed and redirected power through her fingertips.

She focused her cursed energy into her core, then let it surge outward. The lightning she now commanded was no longer natural—it was cursed lightning, refined and alive, burning through dummies and charged constructs like paper.

BOOM. Another target disintegrated.

Jason observed the energy signature closely. She's stopped channeling natural electricity. Now it's cursed energy converted into plasma... Volts with a vengeance.....The power of this new attack is 10X her old electricity

She fired another blast into the air, illuminating the entire chamber. Her control was nearly flawless.

Jason nodded in approval and moved to the final door.

The room was serene—Japanese-style, lined with old wooden floors and lanterns flickering with cursed flame. Katana knelt at the center, her blade laid across her palms. Her eyes were closed, face calm.

Suddenly, she slashed.

A wail tore through the chamber—not hers, but that of a soul trapped inside her sword. It emerged in the form of cursed energy, like a ghostly dragon, and slashed outward with her movement. The cursed dummy was sliced clean in half—not by steel, but spirit.

She opened her eyes. Another swing. Another scream of a soul. Another cursed energy arc.

Jason took a step inside. She bowed the moment she saw him. "They're learning to obey, not just cry."

He gave her a look of respect. "And you're learning to wield them—not just carry them. That's mastery."

She nodded once, then turned back to her discipline, her spirit blade whispering as it hummed with energy.

...

"Each of them is advancing faster than I imagined…" Jason muttered, sitting back in his office chair, eyes flicking across the training reports. "I thought they'd struggle with adapting to cursed energy… This system's foreign, volatile—but they're syncing with it like it's natural." He leaned forward, elbows on the desk. "Maybe the DC world's just… different. Stronger. More adaptable."

A thoughtful pause.

"If that's the case... I could take this further. My family's loyal guards… The assassin squad led by Val… If they could tap into cursed energy too…" Jason smirked to himself, already planning how to weaponize that advantage.

Just then, the door creaked open. Nia stepped in briskly, holding a remote. Her expression was tight.

"Jason… you need to see this," she said, turning on the large monitor on the wall.

The screen lit up with a live broadcast.

The Justice League. Standing in formation. Making a speech.

About reformation.

Jason blinked once, then sat up straighter, focus sharpening like a blade. "Seriously?" he muttered, gaze locked on the screen.

The camera panned over Superman, Wonder Woman, and even Batman—each one looking uncharacteristically somber.

Jason's fingers tapped the desk slowly, like a countdown.

"Let's see what the golden boys of Earth are cooking now…"
