Jason woke up a few hours later, his body still aching and sore. The softness beneath him made it clear he was in a bed. He blinked a few times, trying to focus. The place looked like an ordinary apartment, the kind you'd find in any city—but the air, the aura... he could still feel it. He was definitely in Hell.

He sat up slowly just as the door creaked open.

"Looks like you're awake..." a voice said.

Jason turned his head. A woman walked in—half her face hidden behind a sleek, elegant mask. She was beautiful. Calling her the most beautiful person he'd ever seen wouldn't be a lie.

Jason sat up straighter and said, "I'm Jason."

The woman raised an eyebrow at his calm introduction.

"Well... who are you?" he added.

She smirked. "Well, well, well... interesting human, aren't you? You see me, and you're not even the slightest bit afraid I'll kill you?"

Jason shrugged. "Worried? Why would I be? I woke up in your bed. If you wanted me dead, I wouldn't be here right now."

Her smirk deepened. "That is true. Fine, I'll humor you."

She stepped forward with confidence. "My name is Mazikeen. Queen of Hell—formerly. Before my dear husband left me... and this place."

Jason's eyes narrowed slightly. "So... you're Lucifer's wife.Yeah seems legit with all that demonic aura around you"

"You can sense it? Interesting..."

Jason nodded. "Yeah. So why am I alive?"

"Is there a reason I should kill you?"

"I figured the demons and that Lord Demon I killed were yours. Thought you'd be looking for revenge or something."

Mazikeen laughed—an elegant, cold sound. "Oh please... darling, this is Hell. No one here is loyal to anyone."

She pulled out a chair and sat, crossing one leg over the other. "But I am curious about something." Her eyes locked onto him. "You smell like him... Lucifer."

Jason tilted his head. "Well, I met him a month or two ago. Honestly, I've lost track of time since he sent me here."

Her gaze sharpened. "Interesting. A human who caught his attention…"

She paused, then added, "Just so you know, the smell seems only about a week old."

Jason blinked. "Impossible. I swear I've been here for at least a couple weeks."

Mazikeen waved it off. "This is Hell. Time doesn't flow right here. It's part of the torture. Your mind loses track."

Jason sighed and leaned forward. "So what now?"

"I'm sending you back to Earth," she said casually. "Can't have a human like you running around here, especially one favored by Luci. The Sins would tear you apart."

Jason perked up. "Finally. I've been looking for a way out."

"Sit back and relax. I'll call in an expert who can show you the way."

"An expert?" Jason asked, raising a brow.

She smiled as she stood. "Yes. He goes by the name... John Constantine."

...

"So why did Lucifer leave?" Jason asked, walking beside her through the obsidian corridor.

Mazikeen didn't even look at him."Just because I'm helping you get out doesn't mean we're friends, little boy. Don't ask questions you're not entitled to."

Jason smirked. "Well... Since you're helping me, I'll toss you a bone. I'll tell you what I know about Lucifer."

That caught her attention. She glanced at him. "I was going to ask, but I doubt you know much. Luci doesn't even tell me what he's thinking half the time."

"Yeah... probably 'cause you're the wife." Jason shrugged. "Me? He dropped his existential crisis on my lap."

She snorted. "Existential crisis? Lucifer? The Son of God? The King of Hell? Don't make me laugh."

"You should've seen it," Jason muttered, gaze distant. "Not sure exactly what he saw... but apparently, it shook him. Bad. Made him think that he and his dad were... small."

She stopped. "Small?" she echoed, frowning. "You're taking this joke too far. God and Lucifer are the strongest beings in existence."

Jason turned to her, eyes sharp. "That's what you think. That's what everyone thinks. But he left existence, Mazikeen. He broke through the boundary of all things... and found out that existence is a lot bigger than we thought."

She didn't reply right away. Her brow furrowed. Silent.

"Why are you telling me this?" she finally asked, voice low.

Jason sighed. "Honestly... I don't know. Just thought... since you said he's your husband... maybe you deserve to know. Maybe you can still reach him."

Mazikeen chuckled bitterly. "Luci's always been like this. Wandering off into storms no one else can see. If he doesn't want to be found... I won't be the one to find him."

She paused at a glowing rift forming ahead, a tear in reality.

"Looks like your ride's here," she said, stepping forward. "Let's go."

...

A sudden ripple echoed through the infernal winds of Hell.

Jason turned his head as the air shimmered unnaturally, warping in upon itself. From the portal that tore open in the scorched ground, two familiar figures stepped through. Both wore black. One wore a cynical smirk. The other, a disapproving frown.

"Constantine," Jason muttered, blinking slowly. "And... Zatanna."

John Constantine took a long drag from his cigarette, squinting at Jason as if trying to remember whether he owed him money or had cursed him in a drunken spell gone wrong. His eyes then shifted to Mazikeen, who stood quietly beside Jason.

"Why the bloody hell is he here?" John asked, exhaling smoke like he was allergic to subtlety.

Mazikeen tilted her head, puzzled. "You know him?"

"Not really," John admitted, waving his hand casually. "But word goes round. Some lunatic up top. Kills villains. Lots of 'em. Makes headlines. Makes enemies. You know the type."

Jason rolled his shoulder with a shrug. "Killing villains, huh? Doesn't sound like much of an insult."

Zatanna stepped forward, arms crossed, voice sharp like frost. "He's... problematic. A thorn. A headache. Call it what you will. The League sees him as more of an enemy than an ally."

Jason raised an eyebrow, more amused than offended. "Since when were the Justice League considered villains?"

She frowned. Didn't answer.

"Thought so," Jason muttered.

"Just leave him in Hell," Zatanna said coldly, voice echoing in the scorching silence.

"Agreed," John added with a half-hearted shrug. "Less paperwork for me."

Jason chuckled softly and turned to Mazikeen, his voice warm with a bite of sarcasm. "Looks like my own people don't want me back. But here, in Hell of all places... I found more respect from the Queen herself."

Mazikeen grinned, her eyes gleaming like polished obsidian. "Don't let it get to your head. They're just jealous you're doing their job better than they ever could."

She turned toward John, her voice casual but laced with command. "Take him out of here. Back to Earth. Consider it... payment. One of the many favors you owe me."

"Tsk," John clicked his tongue, flicking the ashes off his cigarette. "Not like I have a problem with the kid, you know. The League, though? Whole different headache."

He flashed a smirk at Zatanna, who rolled her eyes as she began to trace glowing glyphs in the air. A portal sparked open behind her.

"Why are you even here?" she said, her tone dry. "I open the portal. He's the package. You're just... standing there like background noise."

"I'm here because I'm special," John shot back, tapping his temple and winking.

The portal flared with azure light. One by one, they stepped through—Zatanna, then Jason, then Constantine with a final flick of his coat.

And just like that, the flames of Hell swallowed silence once more.

Mazikeen remained behind.

She looked up toward the abyss above, eyes softening for just a moment as she whispered, "Luci... where are you?"
