Kai made it to his room and opened the door. The room was really spacious and had two beds, one of which was occupied by a boy around his age who was really short and skinny. He wasn't malnourished or anything, just a skinny boy. His hair was brown and messy, he had a clean face, and he was reading a book.
"H-Hello." He got up from his bed and stuck his hand out for Kai to shake it.
"Sup. Guess you're my roommate, huh?" Kai shook his hand and felt how flimsy his arm was.
"Y-Yeah. Nice to meet you. I'm Tyler."
"Kai."
"What classes are you taking? B-Besides the required ones, of course."
"Dunno. Haven't really checked them out yet. I planned on doing that after checking out the dorms. Now that I've seen the place, I'm about to head back."
"I'm taking alchemy and rune crafting. I like runes." He smiled and looked at his book.
"Nerd."
"Huh?"
