The dimly lit room was heavy with silence, broken only by the steady drip of water from a cracked pipe. Ava sat across from Sable, eyes narrowed, trying to pierce the veil of calm that masked unease.
"You were the last to leave the comms room before the attack," Ava began, voice low but sharp. "Explain."
Sable's fingers clenched the edge of the metal table, jaw tight. "I had nothing to do with the leak. You think I'd betray the team?"
Kaela stood near the door, arms crossed, watching every subtle twitch.
"No one's above suspicion," Ava said coldly. "The enemy's inside our walls. We need the truth."
Suddenly, the door creaked open and Silas stepped in, his shadow stretching long in the flickering light.
"I know who did this," he said, voice calm but commanding. "And it's someone you'd least expect."
Ava's eyes locked on him, heart pounding. "Who?"
Silas's gaze flickered, burdened with secrets. "Not yet. But if we don't act fast, the next betrayal could be fatal."
The room tightened with tension — trust shattered, alliances fragile.
