Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

c3: Susanoo

"Idiot, I only want items that are useful in the Naruto world. Delete everything else," Ri Xiangchen commanded coldly, narrowing his eyes at the floating system interface.

In response, the list on the translucent screen began to shift again. The eclectic collection of irrelevant artifacts and alien technology vanished, leaving behind only jutsu, tools, and items consistent with the shinobi world.

After a cursory glance, Ri Xiangchen was struck by a harsh reality his 30,000 system points could barely get him a B-rank ninjutsu at best. Techniques like Shadow Clone Jutsu (Kage Bunshin no Jutsu), Fire Release: Flame Bullet (Katon: Endan), Lightning Release: False Darkness (Raiton: Gian), and a few niche support jutsu were all that remained available to him.

None of the higher-tier techniques like A-rank or forbidden jutsu such as the Flying Thunder God Technique, Amaterasu, or Rasenshuriken were even on the list, let alone world-ending ones like Chibaku Tensei or Summoning: Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

It was disappointing, yet realistic. These B-rank jutsu were still techniques typically wielded by jōnin-level shinobi, and gaining one now could still be considered a worthy investment.

He continued scrolling, but none of the available techniques sparked excitement. He was looking for something more foundational something necessary to begin building strength from the ground up.

Eventually, he found it: the Chakra Refining Technique.

Fortunately, this wasn't considered a high-level or restricted technique in the Naruto world; it was standard curriculum at the Ninja Academy, used by genin to learn basic chakra control. Unsurprisingly, it was only priced at 1,000 system points.

Without hesitation, Ri Xiangchen tapped the Confirm button. The technique was downloaded instantly into his mind, accompanied by a subtle tingling in his chakra network. He now instinctively understood how to refine chakra, how to circulate it from his tenketsu points using chakra pathways, and how to balance his spiritual and physical energies.

Feeling satisfied, he returned to the shop. Most of the remaining options didn't interest him esoteric tools, diluted bloodlines, or techniques incompatible with this world's mechanics. But he still needed something offensive.

After deliberation, he decided to spend 10,000 points on Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique (Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu).

It was a C-rank jutsu but widely known for its raw destructive power, especially in the hands of those with a strong chakra reserve. The technique was a signature of the Uchiha clan, passed down through generations. With enough chakra output, it could even rival B-rank jutsu in battlefield efficiency. Its cost-effectiveness made it the perfect choice.

The transaction completed, and the shop interface vanished. In its place, a new screen appeared this one with a bright icon labeled "Lottery."

Curious, Ri Xiangchen tapped on it. Suddenly, he felt himself pulled into a different space. The atmosphere grew darker, and the stars overhead shimmered like cold embers. In this dreamlike void, a giant turntable emerged before him, inscribed with two glowing kanji: "抽選" (Lottery).

At the bottom of the interface, it showed:

Lottery Chances Remaining: 3

"System," Ri Xiangchen called out, "is this part of some kind of newbie gift package?"

[Affirmative. The system will periodically reward the host. Once every full year, the host will receive one lottery ticket and 10,000 system points.]

For once, the system responded without delay. Its robotic voice echoed with clinical precision.

Ri Xiangchen nodded in satisfaction. "So besides the gifts you hand out, how else can I earn points or lottery draws?"

But no answer came this time. The silence was familiar now a system that spoke only when it pleased.

"Tch, whatever. I might as well use them. Whether I get lucky or not, it's better than sitting on them." With a determined breath, he pressed the Start button.

The turntable began spinning. As it rotated, eight distinct sections appeared, each displaying a unique item. Ri Xiangchen's eyes widened, and for a moment, he held his breath.

The first item to catch his eye was a katana, ancient yet immaculately maintained. Unlike the rusty sword he'd seen earlier in the shop, this one exuded raw, contained power. Its blade shimmered like tempered chakra steel.

"What the hell? That looks like… Ryūjin Jakka? That's not even from Naruto!" he muttered, almost laughing. "That's Captain Yamamoto's Zanpakutō from Bleach! If I win that, the world's as good as mine."

He felt a ridiculous wave of excitement. Even if this item didn't truly possess the godlike flame-reaping powers from its original universe, it might still carry a fraction of that destructive potential maybe even adapt as a fire-based chakra weapon.

Then his gaze shifted. The second item was also a sword similar in shape, but plainer and less striking. It didn't excite him in the same way. It might have been a legendary weapon in another world, but its restrictive use and unclear abilities made it nearly useless in the context of the Naruto universe.

In a world where battles were decided by chakra control, elemental affinity, and jutsu versatility, carrying around a high-maintenance sword with no chakra-conductive properties could be more of a liability than an asset.

"Too many limitations… Useless in this world," he muttered.

And so, with the wheel spinning and fate suspended between luck and misfortune, Ri Xiangchen prepared to draw his first prize.

This sword is called Muramasa. In its original universe Bleach, during the Zanpakutō Rebellion arc it was once considered the strongest due to its ability to sever the bond between Shinigami and Zanpakutō. But that was only true in the world of Soul Society. In the world of Naruto, with no spiritual pressure or Zanpakutō to manipulate, honestly, its function becomes meaningless. Muramasa couldn't resonate with chakra, couldn't amplify ninjutsu, nor counter dojutsu making it effectively useless here.

He turned to examine the third item, and what appeared next shocked him. It was a pair of eyes, radiant blue like his own Rinnegan, but visibly different. The label beneath read: Mystic Eyes of Death Perception eyes that could perceive the "death" of all things, even concepts. A single glance could expose the invisible death lines of everything, living or not, and severing those lines meant instant destruction.

This wasn't something he could ignore. Ri Xiangchen hesitated and considered a terrifying thought could these eyes actually kill Kaguya Ōtsutsuki? The Rabbit Goddess, sealed only by Hagoromo and Hamura's combined power, had an immortal, regenerative body due to consuming the Chakra Fruit. Could these eyes bypass that regeneration and target her very concept of existence?

He didn't know for sure. But the mere idea was intoxicating.

Next on the wheel was a Devil Fruit, specifically the Goro Goro no Mi the Thunder-Thunder Fruit, once wielded by Enel. In the world of One Piece, it was hailed as the strongest Logia-type Devil Fruit for natural destructive power. Being able to control lightning itself sounded amazing, especially since lightning-style jutsu were among the most devastating elemental releases in Naruto.

But Ri Xiangchen frowned. It wasn't that the fruit wasn't powerful its problem lay in its limitations. Devil Fruits granted immense power but carried a fatal weakness: seawater and seastone nullify their abilities. While seawater might not be common in Konoha, such a glaring weakness could easily be exploited with water-style jutsu like Water Prison Jutsu (Suirō no Jutsu) or even by being caught off guard near a large water source like Kiri's misty terrain. In the world of shinobi, where battles could turn in an instant, such a flaw could be fatal.

Then came the remaining four options on the wheel:

Haki, the mysterious power to sense, protect, and conquer others' wills,

Master of Swordsmanship, likely a comprehensive style like Kenjutsu of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen,

The iconic Rasengan, created by the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze,

And finally, the Rokushiki (Six Powers) from the Navy in One Piece, known for high-speed combat styles like Geppo and Soru.

These eight options weren't just random; each offered a distinct advantage. At least this time, there were no joke prizes like wooden sticks or matches those would've been an insult.

"Please, divine powers of luck… give me the blade that burns like fire! If not that, then please, the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception! I'll offer you anything!" Ri Xiangchen pleaded silently, placing his hands together in a desperate prayer.

Then, without further hesitation, he touched the spin icon. The wheel began to rotate at incredible speed, and the visual effects nearly made him dizzy.

"Are you trying to summon ancestors with this spinning speed? Is this a visual bug or just an elaborate scam so I can't see where the pointer lands?" he grumbled, squinting at the blur.

Yet amid his complaints, the pointer began to slow. The items became visible again. The wheel passed over the Goro Goro no Mi, the Mystic Eyes, then hovered on the one item that made his heart leap: Ryūjin Jakka, now translated here as Liu Ren Ruo Huo the Blade Like Scorching Fire.

His heart pounded. This is it. This is the moment. That sword, if adapted to the Naruto universe, could become a fire chakra amplifier, capable of leveling landscapes akin to Madara Uchiha's Majestic Destroyer Flame. Just holding it would put him leagues above most jōnin.

With this sword… who can stop me? No beast, bijū, or Ōtsutsuki would survive!

But elation is cruel when it's premature.

As the pointer passed Liu Ren Ruo Huo, it didn't stop it inched forward, slowly but unmistakably until it landed on a slot just above: Rasengan.

He froze, staring at the result. The three kanji for Rasengan lit up momentarily before fading, replaced by a warm flow of information entering his mind.

So… it was the Rasengan. A powerful, high-speed chakra sphere invented by the Fourth Hokage and later mastered by Naruto Uzumaki even combined with nature transformation into Rasen Shuriken. But Ri Xiangchen was disappointed. Not because it was weak far from it. But because… he already knew how to perform it.

He had studied the technique structure long ago. According to his original plan, after acquiring the Chakra Refining Technique, he'd develop enough chakra control to practice Rasengan. That way, he could both learn the chakra flow pattern and simultaneously train his control.

Now the lottery had skipped all that. The Rasengan was forcibly downloaded into his memory, ready for immediate use if only he had chakra.

"It's a decent reward, but… it doesn't feel earned," he muttered, the edge of his mouth twitching in frustration. "It saves time, sure. But that's the only benefit."

No advantage beyond convenience. He couldn't even train with it until he had enough chakra, which he was still building up through refinement. A practical prize just not exciting.

"I swear, I must've been cursed by a Sarutobi," he sighed. "Still, maybe it's fate. At least I didn't draw matches or a paper fan."

Now resigned, he exhaled and composed himself.

"I still have two more draws left," he whispered. "I already got to see Liu Ren Ruo Huo once that's something. That's gotta be a sign."

His eyes gleamed with renewed determination.

"The next one… the next one will be it."
