Chapter 11 - Dark Revenge Unfolds

A Cozy Morning Together Before Goodbye

Matt steps out of the shower, feeling refreshed and relaxed after a warm embrace with Ava before he got in.

He wraps himself in one of Ava's plush towels and heads into the kitchen, where delicious aromas fill the air:

Scrambled eggs,Crispy bacon, Toast with melted butter

Ava smiles brightly, flipping pancakes

"Morning again the shower revived you, I see!" Ava said as she smiled

Matt chuckles, dropping a gentle kiss on her cheek

"Your cooking is reviving me even more." Matt chuckled .

They sat down together at the kitchen table, hands touching as they share a cozy breakfast.

Conversation flows easily

As they finish eating, Matt glances at the time

"I should head back home... Caleb might be looking for me."

Ava's expression turns concerned:

"Do you think everything is okay at your place?"

Ava gathers their plates, her eyes locking onto Matt's:

"I'll drive you home. I want to make sure you get there safely... and maybe meet your brother Caleb."

Matt's instincts flash warning signs, introducing Ava to Caleb could be disastrous:

"Ava, I don't know if that's a good idea. Caleb's... complicated."

Ava's gentle smile puts him at ease slightly

"I've handled complicated fathers maybe I can handle your brother too." Ava said to Matt .

Matt weighs the risks, then nods slowly:

"Okay... but if Caleb acts strange or hostile, we're leaving immediately."

Ava agrees, grabbing her keys:

"Deal. Let's go."

They arrived matt residence about 2hrs

When I arrive home , caleb just acted cool when ava was around as I waved her goodbye .

As soon as Ava's car disappears from view, Caleb's calm facade shatters like glass.

His eyes blaze with fury, voice low and menacing

"You're playing with fire, Matt . Ava is OFF LIMITS."

Matt stands tall, defiance burning within him:

"She's already beyond limits, Caleb she's going to be my mate."

Caleb's face purples with rage, fists clenched:

"You'll never claim her"...as mate or anything else," Caleb spits venomously.

"You'll forfeit your place in this pack, your family ties even your life if you pursue her."

Matt crosses his arms, unwavering

"You'd really kill your own brother over pack law huh" ?? he asked Caleb .

Caleb's face twisted in a snarl. "You don't understand, Matt. This isn't just about pack law it's about the very survival of our kind. Ava's not one of us, and she's a danger to everything we've built. If you pursue her, you'll be putting our entire pack at risk."

Matt's expression remained firm. "I understand that you believe that, Caleb, but I don't think Ava's the problem here. I think you're just using that as an excuse to control me."

Caleb's eyes flashed with anger, and for a moment, Matt wondered if his brother would actually follow through on his threats. But then Caleb's face smoothed out, and he smiled coldly.

"You're making a grave mistake, Matt. One that could cost you everything."

"You're going to stand trial with the pack," Caleb stated, his voice firm and authoritative.

Matt raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Oh, really? And what exactly are the charges against me this time, brother?"

Caleb's expression remained stern. "You're accused of consorting with an outsider, one who poses a threat to our pack's safety and traditions. The alpha will decide your fate."

Matt's smile grew, his eyes glinting with defiance as he replies... "I'm looking forward to it."

Matt head for school

As Matt arrived, he headed to the locker room with his teammates, the sound of laughter and chatter filled the air. The smell of sweat and sports equipment wafted through the room as they geared up for training.

Matt's teammates were already changing into their uniforms, their conversations ranging from last night's game to upcoming matches. Matt joined in, swapping his shoes for cleats and grabbing his gear.

"Hey, Matt, you ready for today's drills?" one of his teammates asked, tossing him a ball.

Matt caught the ball, grinning. "Born ready."

With their gear in hand, the team headed out to the field, ready to put in a solid training session. The sun beat down on them, casting long shadows across the grass as they began their warm-ups.

Unfortunately matt was benched because there's someone better taking his position . he then stood up and

approached his coach, who was standing on the sidelines, observing the team's warm-ups.

"Hey, Coach," Matt said, trying to sound calm. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

The coach turned to him, a hint of concern in his expression. "What's up, Matt?"

"I saw the lineup for today's training, and I'm not in it," Matt said, trying to keep his frustration in check. "I was wondering why I'm being benched. I've been working hard, and I thought I was doing well."

The coach sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Matt, you've been a valuable player for us, but we've got a new player coming in who's been doing great in practice. I think it's time we give him a chance to start."

Matt's face fell, but he tried to stay positive. "Okay, I understand. But can I still participate in training? I want to stay sharp and be ready when my chance comes again."

The coach nodded. "Yeah, that's fine. You can join in on the drills and help with some of the coaching. Let's see how you do."

Matt nodded, determination etched on his face. "Thanks, Coach. I appreciate the opportunity."

He joined the team, participating in the drills and offering guidance to his teammates. Despite being benched, Matt was determined to prove himself and stay valuable to the team.

As training progressed, Matt's skills and experience shone through. He worked with the new player, sharing tips and strategies to help him improve. The coach observed, taking note of Matt's leadership and teamwork.

After training, the coach called the team together. "Alright, guys. Great effort today. Matt, I want to talk to you about something."

Matt's curiosity was piqued. What did the coach want to discuss?

The coach looked at Matt with a thoughtful expression. "Matt, I've been thinking. You've been a valuable asset to this team for a long time, and I don't want to lose you. I know you're not happy about being benched, but I think you have a lot to offer in a different role."

Matt's ears perked up, intrigued. "What kind of role?"

The coach smiled. "I think you'd make a great team captain. You've got leadership qualities, and the team respects you. What do you say?"

Matt's face lit up with surprise and excitement. Being team captain was a new challenge, but it could be an opportunity to stay involved and lead the team to victory.

With Matt's agreement, the coach announced the new role to the team. The players welcomed the news with enthusiasm, appreciating Matt's leadership and experience.

As team captain, Matt took on new responsibilities, guiding his teammates and helping to develop their skills. He worked closely with the coach to plan strategies and make tactical decisions during games.

The team's dynamics improved under Matt's leadership, and they began to work together more cohesively. Matt's teammates looked up to him, and he became a key figure in the team's success.

Matt's new role also gave him a fresh perspective on the game, and he found himself enjoying the challenge of leadership. He was determined to lead his team to victory and make the most of his new role.....

Viktor's Pov,

I step into my dimly lit house, still reeking of hospital disinfectant on my clothes.

The doctor's words echo in my mind: "You're lucky to be alive, Mr. Morales. The attack was... animalistic."

My eyes narrow,I know exactly what kind of animal did this.

The supernatural creatures who murdered my wife, Maria, 10 years ago...

And now, they've come for me.

But I've spent years preparing, researching, and waiting.

My plan for revenge is finally ripe ....

My gaze falls upon a photo of my son jace ..

innocent and unaware of the war brewing.

A pang of worry hits me I I said to myself I must protect him from this darkness...

But my resolve hardens

I stepped out of the house, as sat in a dimly lit, smoke-filled bar on the outskirts of town, waiting for my contact.

A figure emerges from shadows ,

Tall, lean, with piercing green eyes:

"Viktor Morales . We've heard of your... losses."

He introduces himself as Riven, a hunter of supernatural creatures.

I slide a folder across the table, filled with research on local paranormal activity:

"The mooncrest werewolf pack killed my wife. I want them annihilated."

Riven's eyes narrow as he scans the documents:

" Mooncrest are powerful. But I have intel on them for a while now..

Come with me Riven said as he lead me out of the bar and took me to his residence as he leads me down creaky stairs into his basement lair

a hunter's paradise... or hellish workshop. I thought so ..

The room stretches wide, filled with walls lined with silver-tipped swords, crossbows, and garlic-infused bullets,

Tables cluttered with holy relics, potions, and supernatural creature sketches and Racks storing Kevlar vests ..

Fellow hunters emerge from shadows, eyeing me with curiosity as Riven introduce them to me

There was Kai A former soldier wielding customized, silver-coated weaponry

Dr. Elena A scientist studying supernatural biology and weaknesses...

Riven begins the briefing:

"Targets Mooncrest werewolf pack (Caleb, Matthew, and their loyal members) and any other supernatural creatures we encounter" Riven said his voice echoing across the room ..

Our Objective is to Eliminate all targets on sight ....

"We've tracked their next full moon gathering at their usual spot "The old oak forest", midnight tomorrow." Riven stated ..

My heart races with vengeance tomorrow, blood will spill...

Riven nods, concluding the briefing:

"Tomorrow midnight, old oak forest. We ambush Mooncrest pack during their full moon gathering...

Dr. Elena briefs on pack behavior:

"During full moon, they'll be in wolf form, aggressive but slightly disoriented. Strike fast."

Riven checks weapons, eyes locking onto mine:

"Viktor, your revenge is almost served. Are you ready?"

My heart burns with fury I replied ...

tomorrow, Caleb pays for my wife's life... I whispered to myself

I decide to stay with Riven's team, finalizing plans and resting before tomorrow's ambush.

We spend the evening reviewing strategies, checking weapons, and discussing contingency plans.

Riven and Kai inspect firearms, loading silver-tipped bullets and garlic-infused rounds.

I sit alone for a moment, thoughts consumed by tomorrow's revenge and Jace's unknowing connection to it.

Riven approaches me:

"Victor, you're quiet. Second thoughts?"

I clench my fists:

"Only thoughts of Maria... and making Caleb pay."

Riven nods solemnly:

"Tomorrow, justice will be served."

Night falls. We rest fitfully, weapon's nearby ready to strike at dawn.....

Then move out at midnight to ambush the pack
