Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Nathan's Bioelectric Potential! Unraveling the Lizard Serum Puzzle!

"After all, there is a Spider-Man who can discharge electricity."

Nathan stood before a vast display of genetic data, eyes locked on the stream of information. "Among the Spider-Men of the multiverse, some developed electrical powers after enhancing their biology. Like Miles."

The thought brought a flicker of hope to Nathan's mind.

"Maybe… maybe I've got the same potential," he whispered. "I just haven't unlocked it yet."

Driven by curiosity and anticipation, Nathan initiated a full-body scan using his specialized cellular analysis device. The machine buzzed to life, revealing microscopic details of his cellular structures in vibrant 3D imaging.

And then, it happened.

There, deep within the matrix of his cells—hidden beneath layers of biological silence—was a spark. A rare strand of bioelectric energy, faint but undeniably present.

"It's real…" Nathan's voice trembled with awe. "Just like Miles."

Excitement surged through him.

"I really do have bioelectric potential!"

But as he dove deeper into the analysis, he noticed something troubling.

"The bioelectricity in my cells is weaker... it's sluggish, dormant," Nathan muttered. "It's there, but I can't even feel it. It's like stagnant water locked deep in a cave."

He needed to wake it up.

To do that, Nathan needed to amplify the bioelectric quantity and activity within his unit cells. He quickly called up comparative data—his own against Miles'—and began scanning, analyzing, calculating.

His brain kicked into high gear.

Comparison charts danced across the monitor.

"Here," he said, pointing. "Miles' unit cells have slightly more mass. Stronger cells, stronger bioelectricity."

That was the key.

"If I can push the strength of each unit cell to that threshold, I'll unlock the full potential of this ability."

Determined, Nathan grabbed a pen and began scribbling formula after formula across the pages of his notebook. Symbols flew under his hand like lightning.

Minutes passed.

Formulas filled the page.

And finally—an answer.

"Thirty tons," Nathan said aloud. "I need to raise my physical strength to thirty tons of force to activate the bioelectric current."

He tore the page out, glanced at it once more—and burned it.

This information was too valuable.

"To reach that strength, I'll have to double my current physical output," he noted. "Good thing my new training equipment should be ready soon."

A grin crept across his face.

"I'll begin overload training. Push myself until I cross that threshold."

The idea of releasing powerful electric currents excited him. "I wonder how I'll compare to someone like Thor…"

Nathan shook his head. "Not yet. Thor's strength is far beyond mine. And with Odin backing him... challenging a god isn't on today's agenda."

With a final tap on the keyboard, Nathan wiped the data off the system.

He turned to look at the small Spider-creature beside him—his test subject and companion, "Little Spider-Man". It peered at the screen with big, curious eyes, tilting its head in confusion.

Nathan chuckled and gently patted its head. "Thanks, little guy. Without you, I wouldn't have known about this power."

Little Spider-Man purred with delight and relaxed into his touch.

"Alright," Nathan said. "Let's keep going. More tests to run."

And so began the next phase of testing. Nathan meticulously examined every aspect of Little Spider-Man's abilities—physical strength, speed, agility, healing, reflexes, intelligence, and more.

He was stunned by the results.

Despite its tiny size, Little Spider-Man showed astonishing stamina and reflexes. Its healing ability was far superior to that of normal spiders, albeit not as rapid as Nathan's own Wolverine-enhanced regeneration.

Even more shocking?

It had Spider-Telepathy.

During tests, Little Spider-Man repeatedly evaded attacks from blind spots, reacting to danger before it arrived.

"That's it," Nathan confirmed. "That's how I sensed you earlier. Spider-Telepathy."

Unlike most spiders, which rely on multiple eyes for vision, Little Spider-Man only had two—yet was able to react as if it could see from all angles.

It felt danger.

Nathan moved on to test its cognitive skills.

Using a custom intelligence assessment, he ran tests ranging from puzzle-solving to pattern recognition. The results were... astounding.

Little Spider-Man had the intelligence level of a ten-year-old child.

And more importantly, it learned fast.

"You're a natural," Nathan told him with a proud smile. "A future scholar."

The creature danced in place, thrilled by the praise.

"Well then," Nathan said with a grin, "get ready. Starting today, you're going to school."

Little Spider-Man blinked, puzzled, but cheered anyway.

"You'll be learning everything—science, math, languages. I'll make you the smartest spider alive."

Still bouncing with joy, Little Spider-Man didn't fully realize what he was in for.

"While I'm away," Nathan added, "you'll take care of the house, alright?"

The small spider gave a determined nod and hopped into Nathan's shirt pocket—its usual resting place.

With the tests concluded, Nathan glanced at the clock.

"Time to see if Kurt finished my training gear."

As he walked toward the lab door, he couldn't stop himself from imagining the possibilities.

Soon, he'd be able to release electricity like lightning itself.

That power might mean the difference between life and death in a fight.

And that led him to another thought—the importance of healing.

Even with regeneration, a missing arm mid-fight could cost him everything.

So, Nathan had been investing in a serum—an optimized version of the lizard's healing formula.

And right now, the research team was deep into solving the final problem blocking completion.

Inside the lab, whiteboards were filled with dense biological equations, and researchers were scattered about, brows furrowed in frustration.

In the center stood Kurt, the lead biochemist, his one remaining hand clenched tightly.

The final challenge: accurately calculating the number of amino acids in the serum's proteins and the mRNA base pairs for synthesis.

The room buzzed with frantic energy.

Some researchers had scrawled notes even across restroom walls.

Some mumbled equations in their sleep.

One even awoke from a nightmare, muttering, "Xiao Tian…" in confusion.

But no answers came.

Kurt, more obsessed than the rest, whispered to himself, "I can't live with just one hand. I have to finish this."

Then, just as despair began to spread, Nathan entered the room.

His sharp gaze scanned the whiteboards.

He instantly recognized the formulas.

"I see," he murmured. "You're stuck on the protein-mRNA conversion chain."

He stepped forward, took the marker from the tray, and began writing.

"Number of DNA bases : mRNA bases : amino acids = 6 : 3 : 1…"

He continued calmly.

"Number of peptide bonds plus peptide chains equals the number of amino acids. Divide mRNA bases by three, DNA bases by six..."

His hand moved swiftly.

All eyes watched in stunned silence as he unraveled the knot they had been trapped in for weeks.

Equations that once seemed impossible now clicked into place.

The energy in the room shifted.

Excitement began to replace fatigue.

Hope returned.

Kurt's jaw tightened, his eyes shimmering. "You did it…"

Nathan stepped back from the board.

"We're close. Finish the sequence. And we'll have the perfected healing serum."

With that, he turned to leave, Little Spider-Man snug in his pocket.

Behind him, a revolution in medical biotechnology was about to be born.
