Ren was beside himself with shock. His mind reeled with different sickening thoughts as he stared at Kael.
The information he had just heard redefined his relationship with Kael. All the warmth, the banters, the inside jokes, everything was a lie.
"You're...his brother?" Ren's voice sounded strange to his own ears.
Kael glared at Corvin and facepalmed, his fists clenching angrily beside him, "Well played, doctor... well played." He sighed and turned to face Ren.
The look he saw in Ren's face was one he never wanted to see. Ren looked betrayed, disturbed, and scared.
Kael never wanted Ren to look at him in the same way he looked at Axton, but he guessed it was too late.
"Ren -"
"Stay away, Kael... Just go," Ren looked away from Kael, frowning.
"I was almost believing you were different," He murmured.
"I am different," Kael took slow, cautious steps toward Ren.
