"Extract his plasma, now," Axton demanded desperately.
Ren staggered as Axton dragged him inside the infirmary in a rush.
For the first time, he was seeing Axton stepping away from his calm and collected demeanour.
Corvin suddenly sprang up from his long stool when he heard Axton's sharp command behind him.
He let the pen he was holding fall to the floor as he straightened up to face the captain.
"Captain?" Corvin called, shifting his weight from one foot to the other as he took in how dishevelled Ren was looking and how uncomfortable Axton was.
"I need a serum from his plasma, tonight," Axton pushed Ren forward, clenching his jaws and his eyes fixed only on Ren.
Ren looked from Axton to Corvin, wondering which one would be more compassionate toward him.
'How much plasma did Axton need?'
