My eyes darted around the house and through the pouring guests for a sign of her, for the sight of her usually beautiful pale skin standing out amongst the crowd; But the more I sought out for her, the more I realized that she wasn't here… that she would never come, and I guess Alpha Kai realized this too because his once happy mood quickly deflated, leaving him weary and standing by a corner of the room with his Beta standing beside him whilst whispering something to him that only they could hear.
