Chapter 15 - The Five Stand

"I was always alone. So I gave them a world where no one else would have to be."

— Rahul, final seal inscription

Scene 1: Location – Nexus Crosspoint, Astral Borderlands

A massive trade hub torn between dimensions, now half-consumed by a cosmic parasite known as the Myriath Swarm — an enemy last recorded in Rahul's sealed war logs.

Kaien and Olivia arrived first, sensing the distortion.

Then came Vaeyra, glowing faintly gold, now more confident in her movements.

And then — like a glitch in time — Zephyr Dhaelion appeared, smirking, hands in pockets.

"Nice spot for a reunion," he said. "Where's the chaos?"

Kaien narrowed his eyes. "You're the chaos."

"Touché."

Before more sarcasm could fly, the sky screamed.

Towers collapsed. A Void-creature emerged.

Class: Unknown. Size: Entire city block. Energy signature: Unreadable.

Valenya and Aeyra arrived through a flash gate.

"You dragged your siblings into this?" Olivia hissed.

Kaien didn't answer.

But as Valenya stepped up beside him — calm, sword drawn — and Aeyra hugged his arm like it was normal in the middle of war…

You saw it.

The way his eyes softened.

The way his stance shifted just enough to shield both of them.

The way Aren's voice crackled through comms with, "I tuned the cannons. Aim for its third heart, Kaien."

No one said "I love you."

But every move screamed it.

Scene 2: The Five – First Formation

"We're surrounded," Zephyr said casually, drawing two memory blades.

"They'll fall," Vaeyra replied.

"Team name?" Olivia teased, eyes glowing.

Kaien stepped forward, Voidflame igniting across his fists.

"We don't need a name."

"We just need them to regret waking us up."

They attacked in perfect sync:

Olivia tore through the sky with radiant wings Zephyr mimicked her technique midair, shifting angles Vaeyra turned golden light into gravity-bound spears Kaien burned a hole through reality, punching clean through the creature's arm Valenya, atop a building, coordinated every strike like a symphony conductor Aeyra whispered a line from a forgotten prophecy — and the enemy flinched

And still—

They didn't speak much.

But when Aeyra fell mid-sprint, Kaien appeared beside her instantly, shielding her with his body.

When Valenya lost her balance, he caught her wrist without turning.

When Olivia faltered for just one breath, he adjusted the formation to cover her — silently.

This wasn't just teamwork.

This was family moving like instinct.

Scene 3: Aren's Surprise Strike

From orbit, Aren Vordrakar, 13-year-old engineer and absolute menace, activated the Void Pulse Array — his latest invention.

"Big bro, this thing better work or I'm grounded from interdimensional explosives again!"

BOOM.

A blast of compressed stardust and void-rift lightning shattered the monster's second core.

Kaien's lips twitched — just barely.

Valenya smirked.

Aeyra whispered, "Told you he could do it."

Scene 4: The Final Blow

Kaien rose.

Voidflame cracked the ground beneath his boots.

"My turn."

With a single leap, he punched straight through the Swarm's chest.

But didn't destroy it.

Instead — he sealed it.

A rare technique.

Rahul's technique.

"Let your enemies live long enough to remember your mercy. And fear what happens if you ever come back."

Scene 5: Aftermath — Around the Fire

Later, they sat near a broken shrine in silence.

A soft fire flickered.

Valenya sharpened her blade.

Aeyra hummed a song only Kaien knew the origin of.

Zephyr whistled. Olivia leaned on Kaien's shoulder, not asking for permission.

He let her.

And Vaeyra? She just stared into the flames, whispering, "This feels… like home."

Kaien looked at each of them.

No speeches.

No declarations.

But one glance at Valenya — the way she nodded once, without a word — and you knew.

They weren't just powerful.

They were whole.

And they would burn the world before letting anything break this bond.

Final Scene: A Gate Opens

Elsewhere, in a sealed tomb at the edge of reality…

An ancient gate cracked.

An entity long forgotten stirred.

Not to attack.

But to kneel.

Before a projection of Rahul.

"The heir has awakened."

"It's time to return… to the beginning."
