[Soul Fusion] — is a very special ability.
Nagami had never used it before.
Well, not exactly. It did come with a rather convenient passive effect: over time, it would slowly evolve the user's soul.
Thanks to that passive trait, Nagami was initially able to use Geass and Code to slowly, piece by piece, carve out control over the Honkai consciousness.
That... was his starting point.
He vaguely remembered how the ability had been described when it first appeared: a rare and powerful phenomenon that could randomly emerge across the infinite multiverse—rated even above the Alpha Stigma eyes of a Fated One.
So, why hadn't he used it?
Simple—the activation condition was utterly nonsensical.
It required a certain level of spiritual resonance between two people.
And honestly? Nagami thought that was one of the most irresponsible explanations he'd ever heard.
Like—what does "a certain level" even mean?
Was it… galaxy-at-your-fingertips level of "certain"?
And what exactly counted as resonance?
Could he force resonance using his Void powers?
Well, that question had already been answered: No.
He'd tried, right after gaining the power of the Void King.
From the moment he received the ability until now, Nagami had only ever sensed three chances to use Soul Fusion.
The first was with Inori Yuzuriha—the moment their eyes met for the first time.
Her gaze, pure and clear like glass, struck him in that instant.
But in the world of Guilty Crown, where even a casual playthrough could earn you an S-rank, did he really need Soul Fusion?
While Nagami debated the point, the chance… slipped away.
The second was with True Kiana, during a certain unspeakable night.
The flicker of resonance was like a shooting star—blazing and gone in an instant.
But back then, Nagami didn't even know what Soul Fusion was.
His brain had already been filled with... shall we say, fluffy distractions.
Regret? None.
What man would regret that kind of missed opportunity?
Still, the two failed chances weren't totally useless.
They gave Nagami a better idea of what the activation conditions might be.
The third time... was now.
"Kanami…? Kiana and Nagami...?"
The moment she heard the name, Mei's expression shifted in surprise.
The voice was soft and youthful.
But the name... it sounded more like someone related to C.C and Nagami than Kiana.
And yet, something about this person felt undeniably like Nagami.
Wait… could it be?
Could Kiana, Nagami, and C.C actually be long-lost siblings?
If that were true, that would be amazing!
A joyful smile bloomed across Mei's snow-pale face.
After all, she'd long ago noticed something very problematic: in their entire dorm group, everyone was technically a love rival.
"That's right! My's name is Kanami! but sorry to disappoint—those two aren't siblings."
Mei's long lashes dipped for a moment, disappointment flickering in her eyes.
But she quickly perked up again.
Her gaze lifted to meet her eyes—eyes of soft green, sparkling like stars.
"Uh... Ki-Kanami, so... where are Nagami and Kiana now? You did save them, right?"
That was the one thought keeping her grounded in this chaos.
Kanami smiled proudly and raised one finger.
"After fusing their souls, they became me. So yes—they're safe."
Soul Fusion was the merging of souls—Kanami inherited both Nagami and Kiana's personalities.
But Kiana's soul had two sides: Kiana and Sirin.
So naturally, Kanami also carried a bit of Sirin's disposition—just a touch of that playful pride.
As for gender, the fused form took after the soul with the greater strength.
Nagami had absorbed the purest essence of the Honkai Will several times over.
With that, and the evolutionary boost from Soul Fusion's passive, his soul far outclassed Sirin's.
Which made Kanami a male, no question.
"Soul Fusion?!" × n
A wave of shocked voices echoed in unison.
All eyes turned toward Kanami, whose calm smile held the faintest trace of smug pride.
"That's right! Soul Fusion is…"
He paused and glanced ever so briefly at the cloud cover below.
For a split second, a glimmer of starlight sparkled in his eyes. Then, he turned back to the girls, ready to explain.
Meanwhile, a violent gust howled.
A long shadow pierced through the clouds—it was Ji Lin, rising fast.
Her eyes narrowed.
In a blink, her body erupted in a storm of spiraling energy. The Xuanyuan Sword gleamed with multicolored light, brighter than lightning.
The rain-soaked sky buzzed with the hum of fractured space.
Then—
'BOOM!'
The world shook.
Ji Lin was slammed back like a broken doll, her body plummeting from the sky like a meteor.
Harsh, jagged cracks split across her skin.
"This... this is impossible! Impossible! Impossible!!"
Blood trickled from her lip as she clutched her chest, where pain thundered through her ribcage—sharp, breath-stealing agony.
"WHO IS IT?!"
Because Soul Fusion wasn't just a simple 1+1.
It was like this—
Even if every Z-Fighter joined forces, none of them could lay a scratch on Perfect Cell.
But this?
This was like skipping straight to Vegito.
Even if Goku and Vegeta fought Majin Buu one-on-one, they'd be completely overpowered.
Sure, Super Saiyan 3 Goku might be able to go toe-to-toe with Full-Power Buu, but that form burns through energy like crazy—once it runs out, it's game over.
But then there's Vegito, the result of their Potara fusion… He didn't even need to go Super Saiyan to toy with Buu.
That was absolute domination.
If he hadn't been holding back to rescue others, Vegito would never have lost.
Before later retcons and power scaling changes, he was the strongest being in the multiverse.
And the power of Soul Fusion? It's not inferior to Potara fusion—it's even stronger.
Their powers don't just combine—they multiply, exponentially.
"So, you're saying you're… a fusion of Nagami and Kiana," Durandal said slowly, her deep blue eyes blinking as confusion gave way to clarity.
She gave a nod, summarizing what she'd understood.
"It's Soul Fusion, not just a 'fusion,'" Kanami said with a sigh, clearly trying to hold back the urge to facepalm. "But fine, if you want to think of it that way, I won't stop you."
Technically, if you just go by the final result, calling it a fusion wasn't wrong either.
"Anyway, let's deal with the little problem down there before we start chatting~
That thing's still charging up non-stop even if it's about to shatter into pieces.
Gotta admit, the Herrscher of Domination sure is dedicated," Kanami added with a sarcastic chuckle, glancing downward.
In that moment, a golden light burst through the black clouds that had covered the sky, flooding the world in sunlight.
Everyone looked up in awe.
The Herrscher of Seven Cores Ji Lin—was still leaping again and again toward the heavens, brandishing the Xuanyuan Sword, only to be blasted back each time by the shattering force of space.
The other Herrschers were speechless, jaws agape.
"Like sunlight, piercing the night~ Dawn quietly paints the sky bright~"
The white-haired boy softly sang a song no one had ever heard before—yet it felt strangely beautiful.
Then, just like that, he vanished.
The next moment…
"Miracles? That's just what I do!"
With a thunderous sonic boom, a single punch landed square on the Domination Herrscher's face.
The black-clad figure was sent flying like a missile, crashing into the ocean with enough force to create a kilometer-wide crater.
Towering waves surged upward in its wake.
The boy didn't move after that single punch.
He simply stood still, eyes calmly locked on the sea below.
His gaze seemed to cut through space itself, zeroing in on the Herrscher's exact location beneath the surface.
In those soft green eyes, countless six-pointed stars bloomed, radiating starlight.
To Kanami, space was just a complex mathematical formula—one he was already solving.
Factoring in all current spatial variables—constants, limits, infinites, and singularities—he came to two conclusions:
The current state of space could be expressed as two solutions: Curved Real Space, and Null Imaginary Space.
No need for portals.
He simply took a step forward—and entered the imaginary space.
In every universe, the essence of time and space isn't continuous—it's discrete.
It's not linear—it's directionless.
And unless someone has complete authority over it, any interaction with Imaginary Space can only be done through mathematics.
With Honkai energy backing them, people in this world could achieve such feats more easily than most.
The boy raised his right hand slowly.
Lines of glowing light shimmered into existence, tracing themselves in the imaginary space like threads of fate, forming a brilliant sword of energy.
This sword, forged from imaginary numbers, had no concept of time or distance.
It didn't travel—it simply appeared before every single particle of Honkai making up Ji Lin's existence.
It struck the Xuanyuan Sword, etched with six glowing gemstones.
It struck the crown on her head, housing the black Herrscher Core.
That was the primary target.
Then, in Imaginary Space, the boy lightly waved the sword.
Time and space folded in reverse like a collapsing tide.
From the perspective of the real world, it was a strike that defied time and causality.
Ji Lin's body disintegrated—silently, without resistance.
'BOOM—!!'
A deafening explosion ripped through the deep sea.
Black light—foreboding and vile—wailed like a ghost in the night.
Reality itself seemed to crack.
The frozen world trembled, as if it could no longer bear the pressure.
The sky split open with a quake that could pierce the heavens.
As though Real Space stood on the brink of collapse.
As though time itself was unraveling into chaos.
"…Hmm?"
With a trace of surprise in his voice, Kanami casually dispersed the shockwave that had stirred the ocean.
Staring into the abyss where the Herrscher Core had detonated, he gave a slow, intrigued smile.
"Well well… things just got interesting~"
