July 14, 2044, Teyvat Dimension, Day 5
Recorder: Eileen Custer
I admit, surviving in Inazuma is really not an easy thing. We are now being wanted by the Inazuma Shogunate Army—all because I have a Vision. Sounds ridiculous, right? The people of Inazuma are not allowed to possess Visions. Even though we are not from Inazuma, the Shogunate Army still wants to confiscate my Vision. Let's put that aside for now; the log starts here.
Early this morning, we arrived at Guyun Stone Forest, an island seemingly entirely made of rock. I also discovered that my Pyro elemental power can be shared—I can pass this ability to Karl and Hamke. That means our armed forces have fully returned to normal. Of course, we also have bad news: our communication with Earth has been cut off. And certainly, HAAVK will no longer make useless sacrifices. The previous expedition team has been confirmed missing, though the reason remains unascertained. For now, all we need to do is find out why they disappeared.
The sky was covered with dark clouds. "This is the thunderstorm area leading into Inazuma," I said. We passed through the thunderstorm and caught sight of Inazuma's largest island, Narukami Island. We got off the boat and walked to Inazuma's biggest town, Inazuma City. Just as the information we had indicated, Inazuma is extremely closed off—even foreign merchants are stranded here. We approached a huge statue, which was densely covered with Visions.
"Why are there so many Visions here?" Karl asked in shock.
"These all belong to the people of Inazuma," I replied. Karl had a look of disbelief on his face, and Hamke was no different.
At that moment, a man walked over. "Finally found you. You must be the Descenders from another world that the young lady is looking for. Come with me. By the way, you can call me Thoma." We looked at the man in front of us, then exchanged glances with each other. Without saying a word, we followed him.
We were taken to a Japanese-style courtyard building, and the Traveler was there too. At that moment, a 19-year-old girl with light blue hair came out. "I think the Traveler already knows my identity. Let me briefly introduce myself to all of you. My name is Kamisato Ayaka, the young lady of the Kamisato Clan, which holds the position of the Yashiro Commissioner in Inazuma." (Ahahahaha, the soft and sweet Ayaka~ Do you know how long I've been waiting for this day? Mua~ Just the author rambling, ignore this.)
"Alright, Miss Ayaka, may I ask what the purpose of inviting us here is?" I asked.
"You should have heard about the Vision Hunt Decree, right? The Electro Archon is collecting all Visions in Inazuma to maintain Eternity. And no one in this world is willing to lose their Vision. What you need to do is stop the Archon's plan," Ayaka explained.
"Wow, so we're secretly rebelling?" Hamke whispered.
"Heh, that's nothing. The Watatsumi Island is openly rebelling," Ayaka replied.
"So, Miss Ayaka, what do we need to do?"
"It's actually quite simple. You just need to find a way to hide the Vision holders, or mass-produce fake Visions to fool them. But now, the craftsman who makes fake Visions has been arrested—you need to rescue him," Ayaka said.
"That's it? I think the Traveler probably won't participate. Rescuing hostages is HAAVK's specialty. We will make good use of the technology in HAAVK's hands," I said.
The three of us then set out to rescue Master Masakatsu, the forger of fake Visions. "According to the clue Ayaka gave us, this is Naganohara Fireworks," I said. We walked in and met Miss Yoimiya, whom Ayaka had mentioned. We tried to dissuade her from joining, as it would be very dangerous, but she still insisted on coming with us.
We successfully met Master Masakatsu, but our operation was discovered by Kujou Sara, a high-ranking general of the Inazuma Shogunate Army. We thought we would have to fight, but to our surprise, she actually let us go. This mission was a great success...
Now we are completely out of contact with Earth, and we can no longer get any support from it.
