Cassia;
I wipe the sweat off my forehead as I light the last incense lamp. I stand with my hands on my hips as I turn back to stare at Elián.
He's knocked out, but sweating profusely and still twisting and turning.
I hate to see him like this. I hate that I had to chain him up. I hate all of this, but it was the only solution I could think of right now.
If Koda had marked him, his heat wouldn't be this wild. If Koda knew the truth about Elián, it would have made things much easier.
But none of that has happened. And somehow… somehow I need to handle this situation.
I should go back for Koda. I need to keep him away from Elián. That destructive rut of his could hurt the boy. And I can not risk Elián marking…
My thoughts are cut off when o hear a loud crash in the distance.
I freeze as my head snaps to the door.
Who's come here!? Could it be the Betas??
No!
The incense should have sourced his scent a bit.
I need to protect him from whoever's here.
