Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Battle Space Opens

Of course, as a transmigrator, Uchiha Yi wasn't without his cheat. When he learned of Uchiha Kagami's sacrifice and activated his Sharingan due to certain stimuli, his cheat also activated.

His cheat was quite ordinary: a battle space. Each month, the battle space would randomly refresh five virtual opponents. As long as Uchiha Yi defeated them, he would randomly acquire one of their abilities. This could be a ninjutsu, a bloodline, or even a certain talent.

If only the battle space allowed him to choose his opponents, Uchiha Yi would have definitely challenged the newly born Kaguya Otsutsuki repeatedly. Even if he couldn't obtain Kaguya Otsutsuki's bloodline in one go, he figured it would eventually happen with enough tries.

Uchiha Yi possessed an excellent bloodline, and with the battle space, given enough time, he was confident he could fully grow stronger. By then, neither the Uchiha clan nor the Hokage lineage would pose much of a threat to him.

Uchiha Yi was not Uchiha Sasuke. Many people complain about Sasuke's shortcomings, but they don't consider how Sasuke was treated after the clan massacre and before he met Kakashi.

He didn't even receive the Uchiha's legacy, nor did he get proper Sharingan training. When using his ocular power, Sasuke often relied on brute force, hoping for a miracle.

Sasuke didn't inherit much of the Uchiha clan's ninjutsu legacy either, which was quite tragic when you think about it.

However, Uchiha Yi was different from Sasuke. As Uchiha Kagami's son, Uchiha Yi had access to some of the Uchiha clan's legacy from a young age. Even though Kagami was dead, he wasn't without guidance; Uchiha Mikoto's grandfather was a ninja from the Warring States period, more than capable of teaching him.

At the very least, if Uchiha Yi played his cards right and pretended in front of Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others, he wouldn't lack benefits.

The Hokage lineage needed a divided Uchiha. After Uchiha Kagami's death, who was the best choice?

Naturally, it was Uchiha Kagami's son. He had inherited the 'Will of Fire' from a young age, got along well with his classmates at the Ninja Academy, and was destined to be a leader of the Uchiha's dove faction. As long as Uchiha Yi performed well in the future, even if he didn't want to do anything, Hiruzen Sarutobi would naturally push Uchiha Yi forward.

Uchiha Yi didn't intend to be anyone's tool, but before he truly matured, he chose to accept those benefits.

"A single tomoe is already very impressive. I haven't even awakened my Sharingan yet," Uchiha Mikoto said, a hint of envy flashing in her eyes as she brought up awakening.

"The awakening of the Sharingan is accompanied by pain and loss. If possible, I hope you never awaken these eyes," Uchiha Yi said, closing his Sharingan and speaking earnestly to Uchiha Mikoto.

Uchiha Mikoto pursed her lips. Uchiha Yi's words were completely different from those of other Uchiha.

Even her own grandfather was probably looking forward to her awakening her eyes.

"Mikoto, I'm a bit hungry. Can you make me something?" Uchiha Yi then said to Uchiha Mikoto.

Although Uchiha Mikoto was still young, she already possessed impressive cooking skills. The bento Uchiha Yi ate at school was always made by her.

"Wait for me! I'll go prepare it right away," Uchiha Mikoto quickly said. Watching Uchiha Mikoto's hurried departure, a complex expression flashed in Uchiha Yi's eyes.

In this ninja world, Uchiha Mikoto was definitely a paragon of a virtuous wife and loving mother. In the original story, she married Uchiha Fugaku and ultimately died at Uchiha Itachi's hands.

And after he was born, he was entrusted to the care of the Second Elder. It could be said that Uchiha Yi and Uchiha Mikoto grew up together as childhood friends.

Could he tolerate Uchiha Mikoto marrying Uchiha Fugaku?

Obviously not!

However, for now, he needed to study the battle space.

Uchiha Yi immersed his mind in the battle space, and the five choices for this month quickly appeared in his mind.

Night of the Clan Massacre - Uchiha Sasuke

Akatsuki's Desperation - Yahiko

Fourth Great Ninja War - Tsume Inuzuka

Third Great Ninja War - Sumashi of Iwagakure

Konoha Gate Guardian - Izumo Kamizuki

When he saw these five options, Uchiha Yi fell silent.

Honestly, besides Uchiha Sasuke, he seemed unable to defeat any of the other four.

Yahiko during Akatsuki's desperation period should be the one who was almost wiped out by Danzo and Hanzo. At that time, Yahiko should have been at least a Jonin; otherwise, Akatsuki, as an organization, wouldn't have been taken seriously by Hanzo.

Uchiha Yi didn't have much concept of Tsume Inuzuka during the Fourth Great Ninja War, but he figured she should also be a Special Jonin or Jonin.

Izumo Kamizuki seemed to be a Chunin when he first appeared, becoming a Special Jonin later on.

Izumo Kamizuki during his 'Gate Guardian' period should be a Chunin, at least a relatively strong Chunin…

As for Sumashi of Iwagakure from the Third Great Ninja War, Uchiha Yi stated he hadn't heard of him, but he figured he was stronger than himself, who had just entered the Ninja Academy.

Therefore, out of the five choices refreshed this time, only Uchiha Sasuke was beatable.

And Uchiha Sasuke was the most worthwhile opponent for Uchiha Yi to challenge!

Both of them had only recently started at the Ninja Academy and were both considered geniuses of the Uchiha clan.

However, unlike Sasuke, Uchiha Yi was exceptionally sensible from a young age. He knew that in this dangerous ninja world, personal strength was key.

His body's talent was already quite good, and combined with Uchiha Yi's soul, it gave him exceptional talent in Yin Release.

Although he couldn't compare to the Indra chakra within Sasuke, Uchiha Yi had been training since childhood. If he hadn't wanted to keep a low profile and hide his strength, Uchiha Yi could have graduated from the Ninja Academy long ago, and his true strength had always been held back.

He had previously shown a 'genius' side, demonstrating strength comparable to Uchiha Mikoto. Uchiha Mikoto was now also considered a talented kunoichi of the Uchiha clan. Uchiha Yi, being two years younger than Uchiha Mikoto, yet possessing such strength, was already quite outstanding.

As Uchiha Yi's thoughts stirred, his consciousness was transported into the battle space.

Looking at Sasuke, who bore a seven-tenths resemblance to Uchiha Mikoto, Uchiha Yi's heart felt a subtle shift.

But before Uchiha Yi could say anything, the expression on Sasuke's face became incredibly frantic: "Uchiha Itachi, I will definitely kill you!"

With that, Sasuke pulled out two shuriken and threw them at Uchiha Yi.
