Chapter 15 - The Purge Complete & Global First

The first radiant rays of dawn pierced through the dissipating storm clouds, bathing the clocktower summit in warm sunlight.

"The storm is finally clearing over the city," the frost mage whispered, watching the sunlight reflect off the puddles on the deck.

"We actually survived the entire first night of the Cataclysm... every single hour of it."

"We didn't just survive," the First Player answered, stepping toward the floating territory crystal.

"We conquered the entire eastern sector of Zone 004."

"Touch the beacon and seal our ownership!" the dark-haired striker urged, her eyes bright with excitement.

"Let the whole world know who owns this ground!"

"I am ready to see the global reaction when your name flashes across their screens," the defender grinned, leaning against her tower shield.

"Nobody can claim we didn't earn this victory with blood and sweat!"

"We fought through fifty monsters and three bosses to stand on this summit!" the plant user added, adjusting her focus staff.

"Every single one of us earned our place in this sanctuary!"

The youth reached out his right hand, pressing his palm firmly against the pulsating violet crystal hovering above the sundial.

A blinding pillar of radiant light erupted from the beacon, shooting straight into the stratosphere and piercing the clouds.

Instantly, a resonant celestial chime echoed in the minds of every living human on Earth, accompanied by radiant system banners.

"A world announcement broadcast to every human on the planet!" the frost mage gasped, clutching her hands to her chest in absolute shock.

"Every survivor across the globe just heard your name!"

"Look at the quest completion rewards flooding the interface!" the plant girl cheered, clapping her hands in sheer delight.

"A personal spatial storage pocket!" the First Player murmured, feeling a warm dimensional rift anchor to his consciousness.

"One cubic meter of inert storage capacity holding up to fifty kilograms of gear."

"No more hauling heavy packs across combat zones," the striker grinned, nudging his arm playfully.

"You can store spare magazines, medical kits, and beast cores right inside your subspace."

"That changes our tactical mobility completely," Nox agreed, transferring his surplus ammunition and monster cores into the rift.

"We can travel light and strike fast anywhere in the city."

"What about our leveling status?" the frontline defender asked, checking her personal status window with a broad smile.

"I reached Level 6 from the subzone completion rewards!"

"I hit Level 6 as well!" the frost user added, raising her staff to summon a small crystalline snowflake.

"My maximum mana pool reached one hundred and sixty points!"

"I am at Level 6 with thirty extra mana units," the herb specialist reported happily, adjusting the pouches at her waist.

"My plant growth speed doubled with this new level milestone!"

"And I reached Level 7 with my new weak-point trait fully stabilized," the dark-haired fighter stated, testing the balance of her frostblade.

"Our entire squad is now operating far above the average survivor baseline," the youth observed, looking down over the parapet.

"That gap will only widen as we conquer more dungeon sectors."

"Every single point we invest makes us faster and stronger than the monsters," the mage said, looking out toward the distant skyline.

"Look at the city beyond the campus fence... there is smoke rising from every neighborhood."

"Downtown has multiple glowing pillars of light rising from the skyscraper rooftops," the striker pointed out, narrowing her dark eyes.

"Those must be the major dungeon zones where other commanders are roosting."

"The rest of the city is descending into total chaos while we secured our sanctuary," the defender murmured, tightening the straps on her chitin shield.

"Survivors out there will be searching for safe ground."

"And they will head toward the beacon they just saw in the sky," Nox noted calmly.

"We must establish clear rules before the first wave of refugees arrives at our gates."

"We cannot allow lawless thugs to turn our refuge into a den of thieves," the frost caster agreed, nodding firmly.

"Anyone who enters our territory must contribute and follow our laws."

"Work, defense, and order will be the three pillars of our community," the plant user added, looking over the quiet courtyard.

"We can grow medicinal herbs and food crops in the central gardens to sustain hundreds of people."

"And our combat team will provide absolute security against monster invasions," the defender said with pride.

"We have the strength to back up every law we write," the striker declared, resting her hand on her weapon hilt.

"Nobody takes advantage of our people while we stand guard."

Below the clocktower, the shimmering purple phase barrier that previously separated the East Wing from the rest of the campus dissolved into nothingness.

Corridors, classrooms, and courtyards across the eastern wing were bathed in gentle amber light, radiating absolute safety.

However, the massive black dungeon dome covering the outer perimeter of Zone 004 remained locked and impenetrable.

"The East Wing subzone is completely free, but the outer dungeon seal is still holding," the striker noted, pointing toward the boundary.

"The true Dungeon Warden is still anchoring the outer perimeter from beneath the earth."

"We will deal with the true Warden when the time is right," the First Player replied calmly, leaning his arms against the railing.

"For now, our five-hundred-meter refuge is recognized by the System as sovereign territory."

"This territory belongs strictly to us and our laws," Emilia smiled, looking down at the quiet green courtyards below.

"We can grow food, purify water, and train survivors in safety."

"And any outsider who tries to seize it will face our blades," Yeda added firmly, sheathing her weapons with a sharp click.

Suddenly, the deafening roar of helicopter blades echoed across the morning sky as three news choppers circled the campus perimeter.

Outside the main gates, dozens of military transport trucks, police cruisers, and armored vehicles formed a tight perimeter ring.

High-powered telephoto camera lenses and military spotters zoomed in on the clocktower roof, broadcasting live footage of the five victorious youths.

"Look at the crowd gathered beyond the perimeter fence!" Vasa said, shielding her eyes from the glare of morning spotlights.

"There are hundreds of reporters, soldiers, and desperate civilians watching us!"

"They watched the beacon pillar shoot into the sky," the plant specialist whispered, shrinking back slightly from the flashing cameras.

"They know someone inside this school just cleared the world's first dungeon zone."

"They are going to want answers," Kendra warned, crossing her arms over her chest.

"And the military command will want control of this territory."

"They think their old authority still holds weight in this transformed world," the dark-haired striker scoffed, leaning over the stone battlement.

"Let them try barking their orders through their little megaphones."

"They will find out very quickly that guns alone cannot dictate terms to awakened rankers," Nox said, checking his ammunition belt.

"The old political structures are crumbling under the weight of the System."

"Let them see our resolve with their own eyes," the frost mage said, standing tall beside the railing.

Through the morning air, a booming voice amplified by an electric megaphone crackled from the lead military vehicle at the gate.

"Attention survivors on the clocktower roof!" the megaphone blared across the courtyard.

"This is the National Emergency Response Command!"

"You are ordered to stand down, surrender the territory beacon immediately, and submit to military authority!"

"All awakened subjects must report to the front gate for immediate conscription and quarantine processing!"

"Failure to comply will be treated as an act of treason against emergency martial law!"

The four girls exchanged uneasy glances, their hands instinctively moving toward their newly acquired weapons.

"They want us to surrender our territory beacon after we bled all night to clear it?" the striker scoffed, her dark eyes flashing with cold contempt.

"Where were their armored trucks when fifty monsters were slaughtering students in the corridors?"

"They were hiding outside the barrier, waiting for the danger to pass," the youth replied in a voice as cold as winter frost.

"They sat in their armored seats while teenagers died in the classrooms."

"And now they want to confiscate the rewards of our blood and sacrifice," the frost girl spat, frost crackling across her knuckles.

"We answer only to our own sovereign authority," the defender growled, planting her chitin shield against the stone tiles.

"Let them try to breach the gates if they dare," the plant user said softly, readying her focus staff.

"We will defend this sanctuary with everything we have!"

He stepped up onto the stone battlements, standing tall against the morning wind as the television cameras focused squarely on his face.

Looking down at the convoy of armored vehicles and shouting officers, the First Player's lips curled into an arrogant, unyielding smirk.

"Try taking it... if you have the guts!" he called down, his voice carrying clearly across the silent courtyard.

"This territory belongs to the First Citadel!"

"Let them come and learn what real power looks like!" Yeda shouted beside him, raising her blade to salute the morning sun.

"We bow to no one in this new world!" the squad cheered together, standing united under the banner of the Vanguard Sovereign.
