Rorden's roar tore through the air, raw with fury. He strained forward, massive dragon form coiling as if to lunge at me, but something unseen gripped him, holding him in place.
"How would I know…?"
Confusion knotted in my chest. I hadn't the faintest clue what had just happened.
All I'd meant to do was punch Xander awake. Yet the moment my fist moved, the Veiled Sigil on my finger flared to life, and all three dragons… stepped back. They obeyed my voice.
Could it be…
I lowered my gaze to the ring, the crimson gemstone glinting beside the violet amethyst from Celestine. They pulsed together, resonating, as if weaving an ancient, sacred current between them.
The system was gone now, so there was no way to pull up its status and check for changes. But the evidence shimmering before my eyes was enough to draw one conclusion.
