Chapter 211 - C211 : Judgement Of The Wolf!

Some of the gods remember fighting this thing… Many times… It was a mighty beast that always managed to slay gods under its claws, and in its fangs… A few of the gods in Gekai had once been subject to his fury…

Alise was curious about the response to this sudden change…

"Mommy Astraea? What is Fenrir?" A chill ran the length of her spine the moment she spoke the name. "Oh what was that? It felt like I laid my back on ice. So cold…"

"Pfft! You're wondering about Fenrir… He was a being that fought the gods with a relentless, and all consuming force. Almost as if he was a force meant to punish the gods for something, or perhaps, a force meant to balance the gods out a bit."

"Wait? So, you mean that Shurry is this very same Fenrir?"

"Well, it's hard to say for sure right now. But, he certainly looks just like him…"

"What's different?"

"His power. If he was at his full strength, I doubt this world would still exist. It took the combined effort of over a dozen gods, in full swing just to fight him to a draw long enough for others to restrain him with the chains he just freed himself from."

"So, that means he's not as strong as the original? Then he isn't the same?"

Magni, and Modi… Two of the gods who'd fought Fenrir, interrupted.

"No, that is without a doubt Fenrir. I'd never forget the image of that wolf. It's seared into my very soul." Modi shivered. "Hardest fight ever."

"Agreed, that is definitely him… How is this even possible? Wasn't he sealed up like 100,000 years ago or so?"

"You know, now that you mention it… I seem to remember that one new guy… He said he wanted to reform the wolf."

"You mean that fucking insane plan actually worked? How'd he convince-"

"Shut up! You can't just say things like this out loud." Loki shouted, smacking both Magni, and Modi on their heads.

"Loki, it's fine. What person wouldn't want to learn about the history of their friend?" Astraea giggled.

"Speak for yourself, do you know what it's like to get eaten like that?"

"Nope… But I also didn't bother fighting him. For some reason he left me alone." The giggling continued.

"Argh! It doesn't feel good! It hurts so much…"

"I guess Erebus and them are in for one hell of an experience then."

""DAMN STRAIGHT!"" Magni shouted, still rubbing his head.

"Even if he's not nearly as strong as he could be. With the strength he's got now. I'd put him about 2 tiers below the dragon." Modi added, also rubbing his head.

"Wow, 2 levels! That's amazing!" Al said, with an abundance of curiosity and awe.

The stares he got in return shook him to his core.

"Did I say levels?"

"No…?"

"I don't know how'd put this into levels. The difference in ways people measure strength here can be so wide and varied, I almost shutter at the thought of using levels…"

"Al, that wolf is currently nothing compared to his original self… Even gods wouldn't stand a chance against it alone, save for Zeus, and Thor… Anyone else… I'm not sure of their odds, but they'd be slim at best."

"Even now, I certainly wouldn't want to be in Erebus' position. The guy killed his kid… Wolves are proud creatures as a general rule. There's no way Fenrir lets him off easily."

Shurry's stare filled with a piercing fury, his eyes narrowed, and…

The evil gods numbered one less in a matter of… An instant. The killed god was sent back to Tenkai.

Shurry was now floating on platforms, as he stood facing out of the city… Damn, I really want to run… It looks like such a good path to run… To feel the wind in my fur… It would be incomplete without her though…

The evil gods, quivering as the agent of their reckoning had awakened… Their destruction wasn't just a possibility, it was certain…

They turned around slowly, and then Shurry's blood soaked mouth, well and clearly showed, he wasn't messing around. He dashed, and another god was sent back… Again, the process repeated until…

It was down to Erebus, Thanatos, and Rudra… Nope… it was now down to Erebus, and Thanatos.

"So this is the beast that was lurking within. It's truly a powerful one. The strongest I've ever seen… I wish you'd use it to kill more people though-"

"FOOL!!!" Shurry's thick, and heavy voice came through, a sign that he was still himself… "I know damn well you're just a murderous psychopath! You don't care about your job at all, else you'd be doing it right now! Absolute moron, a sad excuse for a god! You must be punished for your crimes…" Shurry snarled.

"Huh? How do you know all of that?"

"That's not important. What is, is that the longer life proliferates the natural result is a larger population…"

"Of course. And what of it."

"A naturally larger population… Even if the death rate shrank, the proportions would remain the same."

"And?"

"You're a lazy piece of murderous trash who wastes away his infinite life, for the suffering of the finite. You're a pathetic, and worthless god. You don't know the value of life. You don't want more work, because, to have more work… YOU'D NEED MORE PEOPLE TO LIVE FULL LIVES! YET YOU'VE BEEN KILLING THEM INSTEAD! HOW MANY CHILDREN WERE KILLED HERE!? HOW MANY CHILDREN COULD THEY HAVE HAD? YOU'RE NOT KILLING THE PLANTS, YOU'RE UPROOTING THEM ENTIRELY SO THEY'LL NEVER GROW!"

Shurry had a special punishment in mind for Thanatos, and he began to initiate it. Delivering many death blows that healed instantly, but not via Arcanum… No, it was via the moon…

"I'm going to make you suffer."

"You get away from him, you shitty wolf!"

Erebus shouted, and used a far greater power than he'd been using before… Fired a beam at Shurry, though, he batted it away with the stroke of his tail…

Shurry turned, glared, and snarled with a grin…

"Why the rush, your next. The main course."

"What? How did you do that? My temple is here in this place, how did you deflect my attack in my own temple!"

"Huh? That thing, over there?"

Erebus looked over, and realized… Something was very wrong. The temple he'd worked so hard to have descend, had just up and shattered into pieces and floated away. How? When?

It wasn't much longer before Thanatos had been thoroughly punished to Shurry's satisfaction.

"Now then, it seems I lost my chew toy, I'm in need of a replacement… And what do I see here? An evil god? No, a perfect target? No, easy prey."
