Two days later, the colosseum was jam packed with people eager to watch the fight of a lifetime. To them, there was finally an outlet where violence wouldn't be a death sentence for themselves. It had turned into a rather interesting affair where the public who still supported Freya familia held up their signs declaring as much… Similarly, there were many who did the same for Hathor familia, there were even hopeful musicians, and artisans showing off their performances in the lead up to the match.
The tryouts finished with a surprising number of them being chosen. However, they would all undergo the Shurry test later. Just to verify that they weren't Evilus members. A new, but necessary standard for all new members to the familia.
Hathor, and Freya sat in the upper balcony with the rowdy Ganesha. Each of them had a guard from their familia. This was around the time that Freya started to notice something, her eyes caught sight of the changes within the Ganesha familia captain. And like any self obsessed goddess in search of interesting things, this piqued her curiosity."
"Hathor, I should thank your children for putting on some entertainment while we wait for the fight to begin. It's led me to see something interesting." Freya spoke in her measured, and charming tone.
"Don't even think about it, Freya. If you step out of line again I will crush you along with your familia." Hathor retorted, knowing the real reason Freya wanted to speak to her children. "Don't think our secrets are that easy to get a hold of either."
"You're so serious. Fine, Ganesha dear?"
"I am Ganesha!"
"Can you tell me, what's changed? Your familia has grown by leaps and bounds. And you captain, this child is strong. I like her."
"Ahahaha! We've been training a lot!"
"Is that all dear? Child of Ganesha."
"It's training, what else would we be doing. Stop your prying, brother killer." Shakti replied with almost as much disdain as Shurry had.
"HEY YOU WATCH YOUR MOUTH!" Allen Frommel scolded with a blood red fury in his eyes.
"Oh shut it. I only spoke the truth and you know it. You're too much of a coward that you had to kill an honorable man to steal the spot you're in. You're not strong, you're pathetic." Shakti continued… Hmm, animal people say mates instead… I guess it still fits what I'm looking for. "You're not worthy to be my mate."
Allen was stunned speechless for the moment, before his hair flared up like he was about to attack. "Like any man would want a weakling like you as their mate."
"Oh? That's the closest thing you'll ever do to damage me." Shakti laughed, shrugging and shaking her head in the process. "I am Shakti, you can't beat me."
"Wanna bet?"
"Bet what?"
"Loser is the winner's for a year."
"Let's stop this here Allen. I wouldn't want to lose you to some cheap trick."
"Oh, you should have more faith in your children, Freya."
"Ganesha, let me fight… I'm itching for a punching bag that isn't Ilta."
"Are you sure about this?"
"Yes, I don't care about the bet. He's useless to me anyways."
"Alright, you can fight, on the condition that we only bet money here. Remember we still have debts to pay. Is that fine with you Freya?"
"Sure, 100 Million for winning sounds nice."
Hathor giggled slightly, and scanned the crowd. "Best to get it over with now. An opening act like this should be fun to see."
Ganesha smirked, and nodded to the announcer.
""ALRIGHT! EVERYONE! WHO WANTS TO SEE SOME ACTION!""
The crowd roared with excitement, releasing a ton of their pent up tension.
""AMAZING!! WE HAVE A SPECIAL SURPRISE EVENT FOR YOU TODAY! AN OPENING MATCH! SHAKTI, THE GANESHA FAMILIA CAPTAIN VERSUS ALLEN, VANNA FREYA!!! LET THESE TWO ADVENTURERS HEAR YOUR EXCITEMENT, FOR A FIGHT BETWEEN TWO LEVEL 5s!!!!""
Once more the crowd went crazy. Allen left the balcony with a single leap, landing with a roll, into a standing position. Shakti on the other hand smirked, and simply walked through the corridors to build up more suspense for the upcoming fight. And as she revealed herself into the fighting arena below, she smiled and spoke.
"For someone who can't even level up after fighting Balor, you've got some nerve." That hit the sore spot right?
"You bitch. I might just force my way."
"Oh my, you're a real dirt bag. No, you're less than the dirt on the ground. How dare you stand in this arena on such sacred sand, you're unworthy."
""BEGIN!""
The fight began at once, Allen charged forward with his spear, relentlessly thrusting it forward.
Shakti narrowly dodged the strikes, making it look like she was struggling. It was at this time she countered with an attack of her own, forcing Allen to switch gears and defend. Is he really a level 5? He feels weaker than one. Almost like he was a level 4, maybe middle to high end of the level? But 5? No way. He doesn't seem to be holding back either… Heh, that'll really get under his skin.
"Hey, I thought you were going to force yourself on me. Stop holding back, and give me a real challenge already. How could you toy with a woman like this?" She teased. Damn, that made me feel dirty… Maybe I will shove Hashana down when I can. Here's hoping his pelvis is as strong as he claims.
"You BITCH!"
The fight continued, Allen went as far as using his magic, and Shakti continued to keep up with him, despite the fact she didn't want to use her own skills for this fight considering that whichever she used, it wouldn't do much other than temporarily cause a pause in the fight. She was a tamer, and so all of her skills were suited more for taming, and training… The perfect dominitrix. She'd feel wrong using them here…
So, Shakti let the fight run its course, and once Allen's spell faded, she knocked him out with a twisting 10 hit combo of her training spear… Winning the fight with mild effort. Still enough to work up a little sweat. If he hadn't been so weak, or I hadn't been training with Shurry recently, that fight would have gone very differently.
""OH WOW!!!! WHAT A FIGHT! CAPTAIN SHAKTI IS VICTORIOUS!!!!""
The crowd cheered, after seeing such a good fight. Shakti walked out of the arena, found Ilta. "Take my place next to Ganesha for a while. I'm too worked up."
"You got it sister. Go get him."
In another room, where some other Ganesha familia members were, specifically the men's changing room, Shakti entered. "Good you're half ready as it is!" She grabbed Hashana by the arm and pulled him out into a private room. The sounds heard from that room were all too familiar.
