After the head of the town watch explained the location of the goblins, and what they knew of their numbers. Shurry bolted out shouting, "THAT'S MY MEAT GOBLINS! PUNISHMENT COMES!" And then he'd howl.
Legi struggled to her feet, exasperated by the rudeness of his response. The chief was confused. "Are you going to help him?"
"I'd like to, but my legs haven't been stable since I arrived. So I'm just going to take my time getting over there. Not like he can kill them all right away." She said, as she massaged her calves and thighs. "Alright, I'm going to hunt down a deer or something else for him. Cause that's what he's going to want."
"Ahahah! We'll have someone help you carve it up once you return." The chief laughed. "Your room will be ready for you two when you're back."
Legi nodded and left for a hunt of her own. If I find enough I might get to cuddle his fluffiness! She blushed.
…
The goblins were currently experiencing a strife unlike any other they had faced before. Because suddenly, out of absolutely nowhere, a large wolf came in and started chomping and slashing through their horde like a hot knife through butter.
"Ahahaha! This is fun! Stupid goblins ought to die." Luna laughed, leading into a giggle.
The only term for what was happening now was bloodbath. These goblins were no match for Shurry in his current state. As a level 1, he had shattered numerous barriers to growth, and now that he was level 2, his transformed state was easily level 3.
You see, werewolves, they transform under the moonlight. And thus it is the only weakness for them. However, it is also the greatest transformation there is. Easily giving a far larger boost than just a level. But, in Shurry's case, it's much closer to being a full 2 levels higher. In other words his raw stats right now, would be comparable to a pinnacle level 4.
As such, there was no threat from any of the surface monsters around here. If it was one of the crazy strong monsters, then sure, he'd have to be careful. But these are goblins. Weak enough that even a regular child could probably handle one without a falna. Of course this is provided they are well equipped.
Even so, while he killed the goblins, Luna absorbed the magic stones from them. There wasn't much in any of them, individually, but together it was a mildly decent haul. As now Luna appeared with a moon dress, and was ever so slightly larger.
In the end it took Shurry about 30 minutes to find the goblin camp, and to slaughter the entire horde. Once done he sat and howled towards the sky. A victorious howl that the village could hear. He looked around to see if there was anything valuable around. And noticed that there were some cages holding rather injured young women.
"Shurry, it's okay! We can heal them! We don't have to go back to that time." Luna quickly interfered in Shurry's thoughts, knowing the scene was starting to make him cry.
Shurry nodded, and transformed back to normal. Then cast his Lunas Restore spell twice. Once done, he picked the two up. He looked like a comedy act right now, a child acting like the big hero. Only this was no play, this real, and so he bounced all the way back to the village. Using his moon steps to avoid having his passengers hit the ground.
…
Once Shurry returned, the villagers looked a little stunned by his reappearance. Sorta just floating there on a light disk of sorts. "Goblins, slaughtered. Girls, healed and rescued. They are… Sleeping?"
"So… fast…"
"Oh, I see. Well then, we'll have someone look after them. Your friend went out to find something to hunt for dinner." The chief said.
Shurry's tail moved. "Well, hurry up and take these two. I'm gonna go find some too!" He said handing the two rescued girls off to the villagers, and the moment he was no longer responsible for bearing their weight, he ran off again. "MEAT!"
"That boy sure is something else ain't he."
…
Soon there was a rather large amount of meat, and the young werewolf ate his fill of it. It ended up being a good thing he went along as well. There wouldn't have been enough meat for everyone otherwise.
He and Legi spent the night in the chief's house. And while they did have separate beds before, Legi just crawled over and snuggled Shurry as they fell asleep. And in the morning they'd make the return trip to the School District.
…
Baldr wore a tired smile, while Idunn was glowing, nuzzling checks with her little boy, Shurry. "Ahahaha, mommy, that tickles."
"I don't care, I missed you the whole night! I was so worried! Let me have this." Idunn said nuzzling harder. Until the moment she stopped and had him sit on her lap.
"So, how did the mission go? Were you able to take care of it?" Baldr asked, looking towards the only one currently not busy.
Legi stiffened. "Yes lord Baldr! We arrived really early, delivered the supplies, and hunted." Legi answered. "Shurry slew a whole horde of goblins on his own too."
"Somehow, that doesn't really surprise me." Baldr chuckled.
"Yep, it was easy. Nothing like fighting uncle Leon." Shurry said, cheerfully pressing into Idunn. It was his childish way of showing how happy he was to snuggle with her again.
"Well, that settles it, doesn't it, Idunn?" Baldr said. "I'd like him to focus on training up his abilities as much as possible." He said. Then noted that Legi was anxious. "Come over her child, I'll get you an update right now."
Legi got her update, but like everyone expected, she only went up a few points in her stats.
Idunn was half sulking but, she remembered that feeling she got every time that she heard Shurry call her Mommy. "I understand. But I'm not giving him up to that pervy coot! I absolutely refuse to do that!"
Shurry looked quite confused for a moment. "Mommy? What's going on?" He asked, tilting his head.
Baldr answered, it would be best if he was the one who said it. "Son, we know you want to grow a lot stronger. This was a test of sorts. I want to leave you in the care of a familia in Orario. So you may freely traverse the dungeon and grow as strong as you'd ever want, or need."
