Jayvaughn leaned down and pecked Axel gently on the top of his head once more, his expression softening back to that of the concerned partner. "Baby, please get some rest and try to sleep while I am away, okay?" he murmured. "I will try to be back as soon as I can. Promise."
Axel nodded, accepting the instruction, and then pulled Jayvaughn into a tight, clinging hug. He buried his face against Jayvaughn's chest, enjoying the brief moment of security.
He spoke in a deliberately soft, cute voice, amplifying his vulnerable persona. "Be back soon. I will be waiting for you right here at home."
Jayvaughn responded by hugging him back just as tightly. "Don't worry," he reassured Axel. "I will try to get back as quickly as possible."
