Axel barely spared the skimpy-dressed woman another glance. His mind was still foggy from sleep, and arguing with a random woman was the last thing he wanted to do right now. Whatever she had said earlier, he chose to ignore it. His silence, however, seemed to give the woman the wrong impression.
A smug smile crept across her lips. She straightened her posture like someone who had just won a battle. "I think you should get rid of your delusions and fuck off from this company," she said, her voice dripping with arrogance. "Our CEO doesn't like strangers lounging around his office, so I hope you can show yourself out."
Axel didn't bother to reply. Instead, he started walking deeper into the office, his steps slow and deliberate. The woman smirked even wider, clearly thinking he had given in and was on his way out. But her expression froze the moment Axel sat comfortably on the large cream-colored couch, his posture casual, like he belonged there.
