Axel narrowed his eyes at Jayvaughn, clearly unimpressed. "What nonsense are you spouting now? Hidden fantasies?" he scoffed. "You're talking as if I snuck that book under my pillow or something."
Jayvaughn arched a brow, keeping one arm firmly wrapped around Axel's waist while the other still held the BL comic high in the air. "Didn't you?"
Axel huffed. "Absolutely not. Your mother gave it to me. She said I should read it during my free time."
That, finally, caught Jayvaughn off guard.
Though his expression barely shifted—his usual cold, stoic face remaining as unreadable as ever—there was a flicker in his eyes that betrayed the surprise.
"…Mom gave this to you?" he asked, voice even.
Axel rolled his eyes again, this time with more flair. "Yes. Your mother. You know, the one obsessed with BL and who probably has more ships than a navy base?"
