UK:GSW Chapter 386 – Uchiha Itachi's Ending, and the Ultimate Humiliation for Obito

For Uchiha Itachi, what was the most painful thing in life?

He had once believed it was, first, killing his parents with his own hands, and second, slaughtering his entire clan. Above that, the worst possible thing would be if something happened to Sasuke.

Countless days and nights, Uchiha Itachi was tormented by the weight of his sins. In endless nightmares, he would relive the moments before his parents' deaths, the sensations of cutting them down.

This constant inner torment meant that for more than a decade, Uchiha Itachi had never slept peacefully. His young body was already fatally ill, in no small part due to being unable to rest.

Yet, Uchiha Itachi never once regretted his actions. No matter the pain, sorrow, or anguish, he still believed everything he had done was for the greater good—abandoning the small family to protect the greater one, stepping beyond the confines of the clan to stand at a higher vantage point to protect more people. To him, it was the true Will of Fire.

But just as the life script he had written for himself was nearing its final act, events suddenly spun wildly out of control.

A mysterious group of Uchiha appeared, contacting his younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke—revealing the truth to him and acting against the Hidden Leaf.

The thing Itachi feared most happened at the end. He panicked, to the point where Sasuke completely overpowered him in battle. Even his last resort—Shisui Uchiha's Mangekyo Sharingan—failed, leaving him deeply unsettled.

But even with so many thoughts and emotions swirling inside, Itachi still clung to hope: as long as he lived, there might be a chance to turn the tide, maybe even to uncover the truth behind that mysterious Uchiha branch.

If he could learn the truth, he could pass it to the Hidden Leaf so they could prepare.

However, Itachi didn't need to investigate. The truth was laid bare before his eyes—and behind it was a cruel reality.

That so-called "branch" was nothing more than his own delusion. The truth was that they came from another ninja world—another Hidden Leaf—home to an Uchiha clan that had never been massacred, that had grown into something astonishing: leading the village into unparalleled prosperity and vitality, a super-metropolis full of life.

When Uchiha Itachi was taken to see the thriving main-world Hidden Leaf for himself—to see the Uchiha integrated into every industry, bringing vast benefits to the village—he saw that although many remained proud, their "tsundere" nature had been subtly embraced by the rest of the Leaf. They were even seen as endearingly prideful.

Such prosperity, such beauty, such harmony, such vibrant life—Itachi's pupils trembled. He could hardly believe it.

The man who thought he had seen through everything, who believed the Uchiha were beyond saving, who arrogantly deemed them a clan of sin—he now saw that the Uchiha were indispensable, valuable, capable of living in harmony with the village. The "great cause" he had clung to was shattered.

And in that moment, Sasuke delivered his cold verdict:

"See it, Itachi? This is the Uchiha you thought were born in sin. And this beautiful Hidden Leaf exists because of those same Uchiha you thought were hopelessly arrogant."

"How laughable, Itachi. In the end, the truly arrogant one is you. You never trusted your clan. You thought you stood on higher ground, but it was just conceited self-importance. You believed the arrogant Uchiha had to be destroyed, that they could never be accepted—but the truth is, even in their pride, they could still be understood and accepted. People even find that pride… cute."

"Uchiha Itachi, the one who's truly foolish and beyond saving is you. You chose the most extreme path, thinking only your way was right—when in fact, you were the most wrong."

"Uncle Kei said that even in the most extreme moment, if you had just set aside your arrogance and followed the Third Hokage's orders instead of Danzo's, the Uchiha would never have been destroyed, and that other Hidden Leaf wouldn't have become so weak."

"Now, Danzo—whom you once trusted—has become the village's eternal sinner and will suffer the harshest judgment. And you, his accomplice and the butcher of the Uchiha clan, are a criminal in history."

"Do you know what's funny, Itachi? The other Hidden Leaf's greatest pain now is that their Uchiha are gone. Without them, they've lost the ability to create the genjutsu games that represent the ninja world's future. They can only rely on the Hidden Leaf we see before us—and that Leaf will inevitably come to control them."

"You, Uchiha Itachi, will be nailed forever to the pillar of shame as a traitor to the Uchiha."

"I know you want to die and be done with it, but I'll tell you now—death won't end it. Your crimes won't disappear with your body. Your soul will be engraved and bound, existing for millennia until it completely breaks and fades away."

These were Sasuke's words to Uchiha Itachi, and they made his pupils quake, filling him with pain and fear.

He didn't know what he would face, why his soul would be engraved, or what methods this Hidden Leaf would use for his execution. He dared not imagine—and he had no doubt Sasuke's words could come true.

After all, in the ninja world, there were too many strange and terrifying techniques—especially in a Hidden Leaf far stronger and more prosperous than World No. 2's.

So, when news of Danzo's execution reached him, Itachi felt only endless pain—and deep regret.

This proud man finally understood: he was the one truly unforgivable in the Uchiha clan. In the name of the greater good, he had committed the most foolish and unjust act—destroying the Uchiha, claiming to protect the Leaf, but in reality betraying it most deeply.

But now it was too late. All that remained for him was to wait in a seal-filled cell for his end.

Unlike Itachi, the darkened Obito had not given up hope. He still wanted to resist, to act, to escape and continue the Eye of the Moon Plan.

Even knowing this was another Hidden Leaf—and that Rin Nohara was alive here—changed nothing.

This already-mad man was convinced the world was false, a living hell. The Rin he wanted to revive and protect was his Rin, not this world's.

No matter that she was Rin—he refused to accept her. He still wanted to execute the Eye of the Moon Plan, to bring eternal peace, to revive those he cared for in the genjutsu of Infinite Tsukuyomi.

After understanding Obito's mindset, Uchiha Kei rubbed his chin, thinking of how to make this man feel pain.

He had intended to use information about the main world's Rin to shake Obito, then punish him severely, as with Danzo and Itachi. But given Obito's mindset, that wouldn't be easy.

Even telling him the truth of the Eye of the Moon Plan was useless. With his self-absorbed thinking, he would only see it as lies and illusions.

So, Kei would need special methods.

After some thought, he had a new idea.

That very day, Kei brought Obito to a hidden room. Under Obito's wary, crazed gaze, Kei snapped his fingers.

Four White Zetsu appeared—each over two meters tall, pure muscle, grinning evilly. These were Kei's newly "blessed" elite White Zetsu.

Accompanying them was a blast of the song Y.M.C.A..

Instantly, a chill shot through Obito. Bound, his Mangekyo Sharingan removed, his remaining eye and chakra sealed, he instinctively looked at Kei.

"You… what are you doing? What's with these White Zetsu? What are you going to do!?"

Kei smiled. "Nothing much. It's just that your will and your mouth are too stubborn, so I've decided to give you the ultimate humiliation."

"Honestly, I'd planned to use this in a genjutsu world on the you of this world—your Mangekyo had great potential, and some… stimulation… might have awakened it."

"But since the child you already awakened it before I could use this, I shelved it. Now, I can finally 'return it to its rightful owner.'"

Obito shouted in rage and fear: "You call this returning it to the owner?! No! Stay away! Don't touch me—aaahhhh~~~"

The last cry was aimed at the grinning White Zetsu closing in.

Kei responded by shutting the door tight and sealing the room's sound—turning it into Obito's personal hell.

He left, intending to return when the time was right. Ultimate humiliation could not last just a day or two—it had to be long enough for Obito to fully feel the pain, paying for his crimes.

When the time came and Obito had grown used to the torment, Kei would bring Rin Nohara to deliver the final blow.

Kekekeke…

"Uchiha Obito, you ungrateful wolf—enjoy your ultimate humiliation."

With a satisfied smile, Kei left.

And so, Uchiha Itachi's judgment day arrived.

Few attended the trial—but among them was the main world's Fugaku and his family.

When Itachi saw his young parents and still-living grandfather—and their pained, disappointed, and conflicted eyes—he wore a mask of anguish. When he saw the Three Legendary Sannin and the First and Second Hokage among the attendees, his disbelief deepened.

Especially when both Hokage said he had been too arrogant and extreme—it was complete rejection.

Wrong. All of it wrong. Everything Uchiha Itachi had thought was right had been utterly wrong.

For a man like Itachi, this was the ultimate negation of his life and beliefs—an unbearable pain.

But his trial and execution would not be like Danzo's. After declaring his crimes, his death sentence was read.

In the end, Uchiha Itachi was executed by hanging.

Kei had considered more brutal methods, but out of respect for Fugaku's family and Sasuke's feelings, a more humane method was chosen.

Either way, his death was only the beginning of his punishment.

The body of Uchiha Itachi was quietly cremated, leaving only an unmarked grave—symbolizing a life unworthy of remembrance, a life of monstrous sin.

His Mangekyo Sharingan was kept. Under Tsunade's skilled medical ninjutsu, it was transplanted into Sasuke.

Unlike in the "original," Sasuke didn't need long recovery before using them. By the time the surgery was complete, his eyes were already healed. After a day spent synchronizing his visual prowess, he gained the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan—instantly boosting him to Naruto's level.

In the era of the "legendary eyes," powerful vision was everything. Before the Eternal Mangekyo was inevitably surpassed, Sasuke would be a top-tier fighter, swiftly advancing toward the very peak.

Now all Sasuke needed to do was train and master his new power—ready to serve as one of Kei's sharpest weapons when the time came.

When Kei's Heroic Spirit summoning cooldown finally ended, a new spirit appeared.

Facing the astonished, disbelieving criminal Uchiha Itachi, Kei said coldly:

"Uchiha Itachi, your journey of atonement begins now."

"Go where you belong—and face the punishment you deserve!"

With that, Kei kicked him into a game world set to maximum difficulty and suffering.
