UK:GSW Chapter 332 – The Choice of World No. 2, and the Weight of Kakashi Returning from 40K

One day earlier—after World No. 2's Kakashi returned to the Hidden Leaf with Naruto and the others, he immediately went to report the mission to the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade.

Of course, what he reported was the altered, "cleaned-up" version of events—for example, claiming they had no memory of certain details, as if something had happened, but they couldn't recall anything at all.

Such vague, evasive answers naturally displeased the Leaf's senior advisors—World No. 2's Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane. They immediately began berating the older Kakashi, leaning on their seniority. When they learned that Naruto, the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki, had even gone missing for a few days, they seized on it to press the matter further.

Tsunade of World No. 2 frowned deeply. Although she also felt Kakashi had been somewhat negligent, he was her direct subordinate and confidant—someone she was grooming as the next Hokage. How could she allow him to be scolded like this?

Moreover, she understood these two old geezers' real motive: they wanted to assert their authority and had already noticed she was cultivating Kakashi as the Sixth Hokage. If they could establish dominance now, make Kakashi internalize it through their verbal pressure, then even after he became Hokage, they would remain lofty and influential over the office.

Still, even though she saw through it, Tsunade couldn't do much. They truly did have the authority and qualifications, and her own ascension had owed much to their early support. Without the prestige of her grandfather and granduncle behind her, she often had to compromise—unless it was a matter of principle, she usually gave them face.

So she was about to speak to smooth things over, to get them to stop trying to "PUA" Kakashi.

But at that moment, the two old men suddenly fell silent.

Tsunade froze, wondering what had happened—then saw both of them staring at the older Kakashi with a look of fear.

Her eyes turned to Kakashi. She knew him well—he was usually so laid-back that scolding rolled off him like water off a duck's back. He'd been chewed out by them before and always just ignored it.

So what was different today?

The answer: Kakashi was simply staring back at them with cold eyes.

They were eyes devoid of emotion—sharp and silent, completely unlike his usual "dead fish eyes," as if looking at two talking corpses.

The gaze alone froze them in place. These two hadn't been on a battlefield in decades—not since the Nine-Tails' Attack—and had grown used to a comfortable life. They simply could not endure it.

More importantly, within Kakashi's presence there was something that gave them a startling impression—an illusion that they were looking at their old teacher, the Second Hokage, who had fought endlessly since the Warring States era and walked out of mountains of corpses and seas of blood.

Kakashi's aura was similar to the Second Hokage's—and in terms of the feeling of "kill," even more terrifying. It was the aura of someone who had just stepped off a battlefield so vast and bloody that the shinobi wars were child's play in comparison.

And in truth, they weren't wrong—this older Kakashi had just come from a war zone far beyond anything the shinobi world had ever seen. After witnessing the Chaos-tainted battlefield and interacting with the Cadian regiments and the Space Marines, his vision had expanded greatly, and he had learned much.

This was Hatake Kakashi, returned from Warhammer 40K—a man whose "value" had skyrocketed, not least because he had been chosen by the Emperor himself, receiving vast and strange knowledge.

Normally, such knowledge would just be facts, like reading from a codex. But having received it and then lived through ten days of the Cadian War—culminating in personally killing both his teacher and his father after they were corrupted by Chaos—changed him completely.

In a world like the shinobi world, where mind shapes power and power shapes mind, the transformation was total.

His "weight" now was no less than a certain boy from Fuyuki City who fought a Holy Grail War in a few days and was forever changed, or another youth who cleared seven parallel worlds in a week to undergo a complete metamorphosis.

In sheer power, Kakashi wasn't at their level—but in mental fortitude and will, he was not far behind.

Indeed, he now had true faith: faith in the Emperor.

He would spend his nights praying devoutly to the Emperor—a classic case of becoming a devoted Imperial believer in just ten days.

And perhaps because of some psychic network effect—or for some other reason—in the Warhammer 40K "game," Uchiha Kei, who played the role of the Emperor, would occasionally sense faint prayers, which puzzled him but didn't concern him much.

In short, this was the new Kakashi. And when he looked at the two old advisors, his gaze was much like that of an Astartes toward ignorant mortal bureaucrats. On the Cadian battlefield, the Emperor's Angels had executed such officials countless times.

Space Marines were decisive in such matters, swiftly eliminating any destabilizing factor. If one of their own was corrupted by Chaos, that Marine would, while still himself, request to be killed by his brothers.

There was no drawn-out drama—no reluctance, no lamentation. Unlike in the shinobi world, or even among Cadian mortal troops, where such scenes were emotional, the Astartes acted without a word: a swift execution, then back to battle—cold, efficient, almost machine-like.

That left a deep impression on Kakashi. And knowing from the Emperor's knowledge how dangerous Chaos corruption was, he understood why such ruthlessness was necessary.

In the final three days of the war, Kakashi acted like the Astartes himself, executing many of their own troops efficiently—including personally ending over twenty Space Marines who had been corrupted while protecting him. They bore him no grudge—only requesting that he let them die as humans and return their souls to the Golden Throne.

It was the ultimate expression of will and loyalty.

The impact of that on Kakashi was profound—and it explained why, when he later saw Minato Namikaze and Sakumo Hatake corrupted by Chaos, he killed them so decisively. He had already lived through this.

So now, facing two ignorant old men, no different from the decayed bureaucrats executed on Cadia, his battlefield instincts were triggered.

Did you think Kakashi was just scaring them?

No—he was genuinely considering how best to dispose of them efficiently.

And he felt no killing intent—because on the Cadian battlefield, such "garbage disposal" required none. Who gets emotional over throwing away useless trash?

In the end, of course, he didn't act—he knew this was the Leaf, not Cadia. And Tsunade intervened at that moment, breaking the tension and sending the frightened old advisors away.

They came to their senses feeling humiliated and tried to regain the upper hand, but one look into Kakashi's unchanging eyes silenced them. They left quickly, their faces dark.

With their personalities, they would surely complain later, perhaps to their friend Danzo.

After they left, Tsunade sighed and looked at Kakashi and the others. "It seems you've been through a lot. Now that the irrelevant bystanders are gone, can you tell me the real story?"

She clearly knew they were hiding something, but had waited for the elders to leave.

Kakashi turned to Sai. "Sai, I'll leave 'that side' to you."

Sai smiled. "Don't worry. I'll handle it." And he left.

Sakura frowned. "Huh? What's he got to do?"

Naruto said seriously, "Sai has his own mission and duty. For what's coming next, it's better he's not here."

This surprised Sakura and Tsunade—they weren't used to Naruto speaking like this.

Sakura then remembered he'd been with "Eternal Sister" from the parallel world, and growth was only natural.

What she couldn't imagine was that, in Naruto's own mind, he had spent what felt like a long time training with his father in a learning space, seeing and experiencing much.

Politically, he was now more mature than even his Boruto-era self. He understood what had to be done to change the shinobi world and bring lasting peace—he'd seen the answers laid bare before him. If he couldn't grasp them now, he might as well change his name to "Naruto the Fool."

Kakashi gave him a look, and Naruto nodded, raising a soundproof barrier with skill and precision—again shocking Tsunade and the others, and making them feel a strange unfamiliarity.

Kakashi then began explaining the true reason for their disappearance and what had happened, including the other Leaf's wish to establish diplomatic relations.

To Tsunade and her people, this sounded like nonsense—until Kakashi produced evidence, and even let Tsunade experience the "genjutsu game" herself.

Combined with the obvious transformation in Kakashi and Naruto—something that could only happen if they had met and been taught by their fathers—they had to believe.

After some thought, Tsunade agreed to the meeting. As for deeper cooperation, that would require negotiation—they were the same village in name, but in truth like two flowers on the same tree: even brothers kept their accounts clear.

She arranged for the meeting to be at the old Senju clan grounds, in the dojo that once belonged to the First Hokage—now under her full control, the safest and most secret place in the Leaf.

She summoned her confidants, and even recalled Jiraiya from his mission to the Land of Rain to investigate the Akatsuki.

So, when Uchiha Kei's group arrived, it was in the Senju dojo. The No. 2 world shinobi present—aside from the "crossers"—couldn't help but stare in shock, their pupils contracting.

Even forewarned, the reality was entirely different—especially seeing another, younger Jiraiya, seemingly suffused with sage-like presence.

And Minato Namikaze—radiant in golden light—was something unheard of, and in this world, he had been dead for over a decade. It was like seeing a ghost—no, a ghost that had already ascended.
