Chapter 21: The "I'm Not Okay" Admission
Scenario:
Your kid admits to self-harm or suicidal thoughts.
You're terrified, but you know freaking out will only push them away.
What would you do?
Do you panic and lock them in their room "for their own good"?
Or do you tell them you love them, get professional help, and remind them that nothing they do will ever make you stop fighting for them?
So when the whole world turns against you and you're all by yourself and you can't hear me answer your Christ for help and neither can I and the government's filling our head with crap and b******* and lies I'm going to remember one thing is true only we hold the power yes we do so I'm going to keep pushing I will not concede I will not kill for them cuz that's what they want from me I won't be the monster they made my face to be so I'm going to sit right here until somebody this time comes to me I will not walk across a desert or a cobblestone street I'm done with that b******* someone's going to God damn come to me
