Meanwhile,
Carter watched as both Lia and Louis remained completely still.
Suddenly, Lia turned toward him.
"Lia?" Carter called out.
Without a word, Lia raised her palm. An invisible force slammed Carter violently into the wall behind him.
What? Is Lia attacking me? Carter thought, shocked.
Lia activated her telekinesis, ripping massive chunks of rock, debris, and broken building fragments from the ground and hurling them toward him.
"Lia, it's me — Carter!" he shouted.
But she didn't respond. Her eyes glowed an eerie green.
Carter kept dodging, barely managing to stay on his feet. A large vehicle came flying toward him — he leaped high into the air to avoid it.
But then, he froze mid-air.
Lia had caught him with her telekinesis.
"Lia! Come back to your senses!" Carter yelled.
"This isn't you!"
For a brief moment, Lia blinked — her eyes returned to normal.
Then, they turned green again.
She smiled.
"Lia who?" A cold, unfamiliar voice spoke from her mouth.
Carter's eyes widened. Before he could react, he was slammed into the ground.
Again and again, Carter was thrown into buildings and shattered structures. His body was battered, but he refused to fight back.
He couldn't bring himself to attack Lia.
Suddenly, a figure appeared silently behind her.
DA.
Lia sensed him and turned her head — but it was too late.
DA delivered a precise chop to her neck. She went limp instantly.
As she began to fall, DA caught her gently.
Carter staggered to his feet, bloodied and exhausted. DA glanced at him calmly.
Then a furious voice shouted from behind.
"You fool!"
Louis rushed toward DA from behind, preparing to strike.
DA sidestepped effortlessly and delivered a powerful kick. Louis crossed both arms to block — but was still sent sliding back across the ground.
"Damn… that was one powerful kick," Louis muttered.
DA handed Lia over to Carter.
"Take her to Jake's base," DA said.
Carter hesitated. "What about you? Can you handle him?"
DA gave a confident thumbs-up.
"Leave this place to me."
Carter nodded and flew off with Lia in his arms.
DA turned toward Louis.
"Now you will die," Louis snarled.
DA casually pointed behind him. "Behind you."
Louis turned — only to be struck square in the face by a devastating punch that slammed him into the ground.
Standing there was Ron.
"Long time no see, DA," Ron said.
"Long time?" DA replied calmly. "You were at our meetings. You were just invisible."
Ron froze slightly. "How did you know?"
DA took a sip of his tea. "I know many things… including the fact that you've come back in time."
Ron's eyes widened in shock.
Before he could respond, Louis stood up, dusting himself off.
"Excuse me," he said mockingly. "Don't forget me in your reunion."
Ron looked at him. "Who are you?"
Louis smirked. "I am Batm—"
He paused.
"…I am Louis."
Ron crossed his arms. "I am Ron."
Louis scoffed. "Did I ask?"
He lunged at Ron.
Ron countered instantly — a straight punch to Louis's face that slammed him into the ground.
"Ouch!" Louis groaned.
Before he could react, Ron raised his foot to stomp on his face.
Louis closed his eyes… waiting for impact.
Nothing happened.
He opened them — and then the foot came down.
But Ron stopped.
Instead, he walked past Louis toward DA, his foot stained with blood.
DA calmly sipped his tea.
"Want some?" he asked, holding out the cup.
As Ron reached for it, DA pulled it back.
"He's back," DA said.
Ron turned.
Louis stood up again — this time with a creepy, unsettling smile.
Ron teleported in front of him and punched him hard — but immediately felt pain in his own body.
Louis laughed.
Without hesitation, Ron shoved his fist into Louis's mouth and sent him flying backward through a building.
Ron still felt the damage himself.
He smiled.
"Now I understand… you reflect damage after taking a few hits."
Louis mumbled through Ron's fist, "Yaws…" (Yes.)
Ron withdrew his hand. "Then what if I kill you in a single move — before you can reflect anything?"
Louis grinned. "Hahaha… do you really think this is my only ability?"
"I don't care," Ron replied coldly.
Louis punched Ron in the face, forcing him back a few steps.
They exchanged rapid blows — every hit Ron landed, he also felt.
Ron gathered energy and formed a powerful Ki blast — but before he could fire it, Louis created multiple clones of himself.
All of them attacked at once.
