Gu Lingling didn't expect Yang Yunhai would cancel their punishment because of her words.
"I thought you would..." Gu Lingling smiled at Yang Yunhai.
"This bunch of kids are rowdy every day, if you don't tidy them up for three days, they'd be on the roof tearing tiles off," Yang Yunhai said as he led Gu Lingling into the house, "You have to wind them up regularly, only then will they work."
"But you can't wind them too tightly, otherwise things will snap," he continued.
"They seem carefree and jovial usually, but getting them to listen isn't easy," Yang Yunhai genuinely cares for his subordinates, so he treats them sincerely.
People naturally reciprocate heartfelt kindness.
If you treat me well, I'll naturally keep you in my thoughts.
"But Lingling," Yang Yunhai chuckled, "I'm really happy you could come."
So, even without her pleading, he'd let them off the hook.
