With a sudden screech of brakes, the windshield of the tractor-trailer shattered spectacularly. The young man with sunglasses, lacking a seat belt, chose to steady the steering wheel amid the vehicle's loss of control and abrupt braking.
But during the high-speed chase, both vehicles had already exceeded speeds of over a hundred kilometers per hour on the highway.
With a heavy brake stomp, and propelled by immense inertia, the young man with sunglasses was flung uncontrollably, crashing through the windshield and rolling over a dozen meters, eventually landing in a slightly disheveled state, slowly lifting his head from the ground.
The young man's face contorted with menace, his skin pale, and his eyes, with their randomly dilating colorful pupils, gave off a terrifying chill, like a faux-human.
