Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Completing the Test

"This is the only way."

Gu Lei nodded, took out a parchment, inscribed the contract with Spiritual Power, and then handed it to Agular, "Sign it, and Lor is yours."

Agular took the contract and glanced at it, which only contained one clause: Before Lor becomes a One-ring Wizard, in no way should he be interfered with in his choice of One-ring Witchcraft.

"Alright." Agular straightforwardly signed the contract.

"Okay, I'll continue with the witchcraft experiment, teach Lor well, and inform me when he becomes a One-ring Wizard."

Gu Lei took back the contract, directly used Earth Vein Traveling Technique, and disappeared from the laboratory.

As far as Lor is concerned, he considers him as an extra; any gains are good, if not, then it's his own effort.

Agular gazed at the spot where Gu Lei had vanished, and after a long while, sighed, "Youth is really great."

He naturally understood Gu Lei's thoughts.

But he himself had long been trapped in a bottleneck, only hoping that Lor could bring him new inspiration.

Turning off the magical array's spiritual power supply, and as the scene in the light curtain vanished, Agular also disappeared from the laboratory.

...

Submit optimized witchcraft model for validation.

After more than a minute, the two who were stunned by Lor's Flame Wall finally accepted reality.

"Can I... can I first test if the flame of the Flame Wall has changed?" Lus looked at Lor, asking in a dry voice.

"Please do." Lor nodded, stepped back a few steps to give space.

Lus took a deep breath, took out a crystal tube about a decimeter long with nine scales engraved on it from his Wizard Robe, and placed the tip against the raging flames of the Flame Wall.

After about ten seconds, he withdrew the crystal tube and looked at the scale on it.

"Flame potency is 4.5 degrees, 0.5 degrees higher than the basic model, proceeding to the second test, defense test."

Lus stepped back a few steps, put the crystal tube back into his Wizard Robe, then took out a yellow sphere about 5 centimeters in diameter, and explained to Lor:

"This is a standard Earth Element Ball, containing an Earth Element that can perform a One-ring Witchcraft, and has a constant adjustable power Earth Element Shock witchcraft."

"I will first use a 0.6-degree Earth Element Shock. If the Flame Wall withstands it, I'll increase it to 0.7 degrees."

"If the Flame Wall can withstand three shocks without being penetrated, it can be rated as a Level Three Apprentice Witchcraft."

If someone else were testing, he naturally wouldn't say so much.

But Lor... genius is different in the end.

"Alright, please begin the testing." Lor appeared open and eager to learn.

In fact, he not only knew about this old Earth Element Ball, but even those gun-like testing tools in the future he's used countless times.

"Alright." Turning around, Lus raised the Earth Element Ball, aimed at the Flame Wall.

"Zzz——"

A yellow line shot directly at the center of the Flame Wall, extinguishing some flames, creating only a shallow pit on the wall.

In the next moment, surging flames gushed forth again, leaving only that shallow pit from the Earth Element Shock.

"0.6-degree defense test passed, impact level almost negligible, beginning 0.7-degree test."

"Zzz——crackle——"

The second Earth Element Shock was almost twice as thick as the previous one, finally causing noticeable damage to the wall.

Lor examined it carefully, the result was okay, the Earth Element Shock only penetrated a little more than a decimeter into the wall.

"Zzz——zzz——"

Lus's hand moved continuously, firing two more Earth Element Shocks.

The center of the Flame Wall was hit, creating a pit about 3.5 meters wide and 0.5 meters deep.

"Congratulations, Lor." Lus put away the Earth Element Ball, turned around, smiling broadly at Lor:

"After testing, your optimization of the Flame Wall model proves effective, the defense power increased from 0.6 rings to 0.7 rings."

"Next, you need to record your Flame Wall model, and I'll apply to the wizard for checking the model congruence."

"If it doesn't fully overlap with the stock optimized Flame Wall models, every non-overlapping point will increase the contribution point rewards."

"Alright." Lor agreed promptly, followed Lus into the small house, took the paper and pen he handed over, and began to trace the model from his mind.

The so-called model congruence check, in plain words, is a check for duplication; the lower the duplication rate, the higher the contribution points earned.

Just as Lor was tracing the optimized Flame Wall model, a figure quietly appeared at the small cabin's entrance.

The newcomer was Fley, holding a Wizard Robe in one hand and a white card in the other, he silently walked up beside Lor.

Kateya and Lus saw Fley and were about to salute, but he gestured them to stop.

Fley lowered his head, carefully examining the Flame Wall model Lor had drawn. After a while, his face showed a satisfied smile.

One has to say, Lor indeed deserves to be a genius, the overlap rate of this optimization plan with the known ones is very low.

Although one could already see some of this when witnessing Lor release the Flame Wall, a true confirmation always brings some peace of mind, right?

A moment later, as Lor completed the remaining strokes of the model, he was about to hand the parchment to Lus when he noticed a white card and a Wizard Robe being presented to him.

"Wizard sir."

Seeing that the person handing him things was Kateya's mentor, Lor immediately stood up to salute.

"Yes, these are your Wizard Robe and Contribution Card, keep them well, reissuing can be quite troublesome."

Fley nodded, stuffing the Wizard Robe and Contribution Card into Lor's hands, and added, "Also, my name is Fley Ibet, you may call me Wizard Fley."

"Thank you, Wizard Fley, for bringing me the Wizard Robe and Contribution Card." Lor replied smoothly.

"No need to be polite."

Fley waved his hand, picking up the parchment inscribed with the optimized Flame Wall model, "I'll take this first, after verification, I'll come to settle contribution points for you."

"Okay." Lor nodded.

The next instant, Fley stepped, performing the Earth Vein Traveling Technique, disappearing in front of the three.

"Lus, is there anything else I need to do? Otherwise, I'll leave first." Lor turned to Lus and asked.

He still had to go back to construct the Floating Technique model, and then attempt to slightly absorb Magic Crystal Energy through Meditation to increase some charge points.

On the spaceship, he was constantly under Mala's watchful eye, not daring to make any small moves.

And now at the Wizard Tower, to outright drain a Magic Crystal, he surely can't do.

But through Meditation disguise, slightly absorbing Magic Crystal Energy into the body, then letting the panel extract the Magic Crystal Energy that surged in, was still doable.

As for recklessly absorbing Magic Crystal Energy and raising the Meditation Talent level... that would require finding an opportunity.

For example, having his own private laboratory, there it would absolutely ensure a wizard's personal privacy, no entry without invitation, no peeping, naturally enabling secure and bold Magic Crystal Energy absorption, but leveling up Meditation Talent would surely not work.

Also, like the much-talked-about future Grand Era Apprentice Divine Kingdom Exploration Competition, it was such a completely unregulated chance filled with opportunities.

Unfortunately, Lor didn't know the specific start time of such a competition, he could only hope for it to come soon.
