Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Applying for a Personal Laboratory and Constructing the Microscope Witchcraft Model

Time passed bit by bit.

One hour later.

Burke opened his eyes, looking somewhat puzzled.

"How is it, did it succeed?" Lor hurriedly asked.

"This witchcraft..."

Burke paused, sorted out his words, and then slowly said under the expectant gaze of Lor and Kateya:

"I think this witchcraft is quite strange. It seems it can't be released outside; it can only be used within the Sea of Consciousness."

"As for its effect, besides magnifying everything within the Sea of Consciousness many times over, it seems to have no other use."

"It's unfortunate; the witchcraft you created seems to..."

As he was speaking, Burke suddenly felt something off.

Because the more he spoke, the more excited the two people across looked.

It was very strange.

"I knew it; I'm a genius, hahahaha." Lor laughed heartily.

This time, he said this with incredible confidence.

After all, the reproduction of the Microscope Witchcraft was truly built by him, rune by rune.

The game panel played no role in it at all, not even as a background.

"I've never seen anyone as extraordinarily wise as you." Kateya praised sincerely.

For a first-level apprentice to create such witchcraft based on an accidental discovery reveals unparalleled talent.

"Is this the effect you wanted?"

Burke was a bit dazed, "But this witchcraft can only make things clearer in the Sea of Consciousness; it has no other function!"

"You will understand in the future," Lor smiled and said, "As for now, your task is complete, and you may leave."

"Alright." Burke scratched his head, stopped pondering, and turned towards the dormitory door.

Anyway, the contribution points were already credited, and the rest was none of his business.

Meanwhile, Lor went to the bedroom to retrieve the Communication Ball that could contact Mentor Agular, inputting Spiritual Power into it.

About three minutes later, an elderly voice emanated from the Communication Ball.

"Lor, what progress have you made this time?"

Every time he initiated contact, this figure would ask what progress he had made; only if satisfied would he respond to questions.

"Mentor, I've completed the Microscope Witchcraft." Lor immediately reported joyfully.

"Did you really complete it? Have you found someone to attempt the construction?" Agular questioned repeatedly.

He learned about Lor's research on new witchcraft seven days ago and guided him through three challenges during that time.

In his expectation, it would take at least a month for Lor to set up the framework, find someone for construction, and most likely fail.

It would take at least a year to completely finish with his support and attempt to apply for a laboratory.

Who would have thought that in just ten days, Lor had already completed the construction?

"I already found someone to construct it, and it was very successful!" Lor said with a smile.

"Hold on; I'll come over and take a look."

Agular couldn't stay seated anymore, immediately hung up the communication, cast the Earth Vein Traveling Technique, and headed straight for Lor's dormitory.

One second later, an elderly man with white hair and beard suddenly appeared before Lor.

"Where is the witchcraft rune model? Let me take a look." Agular said.

"Yes, Mentor." Lor nodded, taking Agular to the study.

"Greetings, Wizard Agular." Kateya was startled upon seeing Agular and quickly greeted him.

Agular paid her no attention; his eyes were only fixed on the parchment Lor handed him.

"Overlap... Compress... Compound... Invert... Adjust..."

He muttered softly as he pondered the fundamental runes that composed this rune structure.

Among them were twenty or so rune combinations that were his usual techniques.

Clearly, Lor had picked up his teaching on rune construction methods and added these through analogy.

"My student, you have not disappointed me."

After a while, he turned to Lor and said with a smile, "This auxiliary rune model can indeed assist some Official Wizards."

"You flatter me, Mentor." Lor said modestly, "It's all thanks to your great teaching. Without your guidance, I might have struggled on some points for a long time, perhaps never constructing it."

Old guys need to be flattered; as long as he is pleased, maybe inquiries won't need any conditions in the future.

"Hahaha, no need for such exaggeration."

Agular laughed, waving his hand, "I just gave you some guidance. Most of it was your talent playing its role."

"If it were some deadwood, no matter how much they were taught, they wouldn't conceive such a witchcraft model."

"What you say is true, Mentor." Lor echoed, then asked, "I wonder when the laboratory application will be processed?"

"Leave the laboratory matter to me."

Agular assured him, "Have you chosen your assistant? Let me know, and I'll report it altogether."

The research laboratory's assistants receive a salary, the basic salary is 100 contribution points per month.

Moreover, if the researcher contributes outstanding results to the Wizard Tower or the Alliance, additional salary will be given. These contribution points are provided by the Wizard Tower.

Meanwhile, the researcher's own salary is 500 contribution points, and if they contribute notable results, they too will receive additional salary, much more than assistants.

More importantly, a researcher can apply for allocations of certain special resources for free each month, such as an apprentice's witchcraft position, Faith Crystal, exotic lifeforms, Divine Remains, etc.

"I've chosen; it'll be Kateya." Lor pointed to Kateya, who had been largely ignored during this time.

These days, he and this assistant had also developed some tacit understanding.

Moreover, leaving an assistant position vacant would mean no free meals, and switching assistants was entirely unnecessary.

"That's all right." Agular agreed and, in the next instant, cast the Earth Vein Traveling Technique, disappearing from the study.

"Thank you, Lor." Kateya said joyfully, "I will fully commit to completing any task you assign, with absolutely no hesitation."

With the salary of a research assistant and her own third-level Meditation Talent, the possibility of achieving Official Wizard status became many times greater.

This was a dream that once seemed unattainable for her.

And now, she accomplished it in merely ten days, thanks to Lor, the genius.

"Here's a little suggestion: don't waste your contribution points. Save them for a few years; don't ask why." Lor smiled, "There's not much else; you can go back first."

He could lend Kateya a hand when appropriate, provided she listened to his suggestion and saved enough contribution points, not expecting him to cover for her.

"Yes, Lor." Kateya bowed to Lor, then left the dormitory excitedly.

She etched Lor's words in her mind, knowing that geniuses like him had a far broader vision than ordinary people like her.

Saving for a few years wasn't urgent at all.

After sending the assistant away, Lor directly returned to his bedroom, sat cross-legged on the bed, and began constructing the Microscope model with the last witchcraft position.

Because every step was personally created by Lor, the construction of the witchcraft model was incredibly relaxed and smooth, an unbelievable overall ease.

In merely two minutes, he had completed the construction of the Microscope Witchcraft model.

Lor tried to touch the Microscope model with Spiritual Power, and in the next moment, he saw his Sea of Consciousness magnified about three thousand times.

The surrounding Fire and Earth Element Domain, originally not vast, seemed to transform into a lake of elements.

And the four Witchcraft Rune Models and Meditation Rune Model standing within the Element Domain appeared as magnificent as towering mountains.

The five rune models' every fine node was clearly reflected in his eyes.
