Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Hiding

Mala the Wizard glanced at the knights and pressed his palm downwards.

A curtain of fire covering a radius of five kilometers descended from the sky, enveloping all the knights.

"Sizzle sizzle sizzle—"

A total of eight blood-red Sword Qi slashed through the fire curtain, continuing to attack Mala the Wizard.

Meanwhile, the knights whose Sword Qi failed to break the fire curtain were directly burned to charcoal.

"Boom—"

Below, the old knight slashed again, but this time he only extinguished one fireball.

The last fireball swelled once more, reaching a diameter of five hundred meters, and was only a hundred meters away from the old knight.

At this distance, he could only swing out one more Sword Qi.

Above.

Mala the Wizard glanced at the Sword Qi attacking him from other directions, confirmed they were not threatening, disregarded them, and instead hurled down five large fireballs at the old knight again.

"Zz zz zz—"

Those Sword Qi attacks were extinguished by a layer of red light shield when they came within a meter of Mala the Wizard.

Only two Sword Qi made some ripples on the light shield.

...

On the other side.

"Cough cough~"

Lor sat down on the floor, coughing awkwardly twice.

Just now, when the spaceship was rapidly descending, he was thrown up to the ceiling.

Soon after, the spaceship's descent slowed, and he fell back to the floor, feeling dizzy.

Taking a deep breath, Lor stood up again and quickly walked to the porthole, glancing at the battle outside.

"Continuous Fireball, Celestial Fire Curtain, all ancient and classic fusion Third Ring witchcraft models!"

"It seems that the Third Tier Divine Grace Knight definitely can't beat Mala the Wizard, but Mala the Wizard probably won't have the capacity to deal with the other Divine Grace Knights either."

Lor frowned, "The other Divine Grace Knights can't do anything against Mala the Wizard, so they'll most likely come to sweep through the spaceship."

"Before the spaceship lands, I have two choices, one is to go to the third level and rely on the witchcraft traps set by Mala the Wizard to protect my life."

He pondered for a moment, remembering the character shown by Mala the Wizard's disciple when they encountered each other before, and finally shook his head to dismiss the idea.

He didn't want to be directed to go die as cannon fodder, but since the other side had authority and he couldn't compete, he might as well find another path to try his luck.

"If the third level won't work, then it's best to hide in the first level dining room. With golems blocking outside, the knights might destroy the golems and search around, but they definitely won't think there's anyone hiding in the dining room behind them."

"Once Mala the Wizard's battle is over, everything will end."

Having made up his mind, Lor left the cabin and ran to the first level.

But just as he reached the first level, he saw many apprentices running to the second level, a few of whom looked familiar from chatting during meals in the main hall before.

"Sir Lor, a big hole opened in the first level hall, quickly run upstairs!"

A brown-haired young man running past Lor suddenly reminded, "Even Viss died in the recent attack."

"Viss died? He was really unlucky."

Lor shook his head, not paying much attention to it, and said to the brown-haired young man, "You go up first, I still have something to do and will come later."

"Alright, be quick, the spaceship is about to land," the brown-haired young man said and turned to follow the crowd to the third level.

"Sigh~"

Lor watched his departing figure and sighed.

If possible, he wouldn't mind helping him out, but unfortunately, he is already gambling with his own luck and can't afford to carry a burden that increases the risk of death.

Walking to the stairway, Lor glanced down at the first level hall.

The first level hall was now empty.

Only a few rock golems stood at the entrance of the dining room, dumbly gazing at the large hole in the front of the hall.

He stepped downstairs, passed a few golems, and entered the dining room.

"Indeed, this is the food storage."

Glancing at the three piles of fruits, bread, and vegetables inside the dining room, a smile appeared on Lor's lips.

Leaving the dining room door open, he decisively went to the three-meter-high pile of bread, ducked inside, curled up into a ball, and hid himself tightly.

...

Whoosh whoosh—

The spaceship continued to fall.

Seeing that their attacks were ineffective against Mala the Wizard, the other Temple Knights immediately followed the plan and rushed to the area where the flying ship was about to crash.

Mala the Wizard stopped his bombardment on the already charred old knight and was about to switch targets when the old knight suddenly erupted.

Red War Divine Power burst forth from his body, covering an area of three hundred meters.

At this moment, each of his Sword Qi slashes was twice as strong as before.

Mala the Wizard had no choice but to continue firing Continuous Fireballs at the old knight.

His hand moved, holding the scroll, but in the end, he did not activate it.

Even if all these apprentices died and the spaceship was destroyed, it couldn't compare to even one-tenth of the value of this scroll.

Because this scroll wasn't a Third Ring witchcraft scroll but a Fourth Ring.

Now that even the strongest wizards only have five rings, the value of this scroll was imaginable.

"I hope my student and Lor don't die, or this would be a huge loss."

Mala the Wizard sighed, looking indifferently at the blood-red and pitch-black old knight below, "Just hold out a little longer, and I can kill him."

...

Whoosh—boom—

The flying ship crashed.

"Charge in!"

"Kill!"

The eight Temple Knights, who had been waiting, immediately charged into the flying ship through the gap previously slashed by the old knight.

As soon as they entered, they saw three golems made entirely of rocks raising their fists to smash them.

"Slash—"

The leading knight swung his sword, and the Sword Qi directly cleaved a golem in half.

"Slash—slash—"

The two knights following behind him each swung a Sword Qi, cutting down two golems.

Seeing the messy hall with no more enemies, and many traces pointing to the stairway leading to the second level,

the leading knight immediately commanded the youngest among the remaining seven who had entered:

"Siani, check the first level and kill any hiding wizard apprentices, the rest follow me upstairs."

"Yes." The young knight at the end nodded.

"Let's go." The leading knight immediately headed upstairs with the others.

The knight named Siani scanned the hall, directly ignoring the open and unobstructed view of the dining room.

Finding nothing else, he immediately walked towards a corridor on the left side of the hall.

Soon, cries of pain echoed from the corridor.

"Ah—"

"Don't kill me, please, I worship the God of War."

"Blasphemer, die!"

"Ah—"

"No."

...

Listening to the mournful cries, Lor held his breath with a physique score of 2.7, fearing being found.

Only those who survived Mala's Celestial Fire Curtain would be at least Tier Two knights.

No matter how limited their means, they weren't someone he could contend with.

As time passed, the screams gradually diminished until they completely disappeared.

Covered in blood, Siani returned to the hall, wondering why his companions hadn't come down yet.

Just as he was about to go up and see, he suddenly heard footsteps behind him and was about to turn around.

"Boom—"

A fireball exploded, turning him entirely into charcoal.
