Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Wedding Night Rules (7)

Tang Yanqi lost interest in food, tidied up her bowl and chopsticks, and prepared to go upstairs. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the peaches Sheng Jianan had bought and left on the table. Her delicate brows slightly knitted as she stepped over to grab the peaches and headed upstairs.

The peaches that Sheng Jianan bought were top-notch in both appearance and taste. Of course, Tang Yanqi wouldn't think Sheng Jianan had deliberately chosen them for her; most likely, Young Master Sheng just went in and bought the most expensive ones.

Chewing on the sweet and juicy peaches, Tang Yanqi felt nothing in terms of flavor. After eating all the peaches, she was so full she could hardly stand up.

The result of eating too many peaches was having diarrhea in the middle of the night.

Weak and powerless, Tang Yanqi climbed up from the toilet. Looking at her own pale face, she truly felt like she was suffering for her own folly.

In the blink of an eye, it was the day of school registration. Tang Yanqi dragged her suitcase and struggled downstairs, unexpectedly seeing Sheng Jianan, who she hadn't seen for several days, standing in the living room.

He seemed to have come straight from the company, wearing a neatly pressed black suit, which toned down some of his wild demeanor and added a bit of steadiness.

On their wedding night, Sheng Jianan looked like a wild and headstrong young master, but now he indeed seemed like the business king as rumored, with the only constant being the disdain in his eyes towards her.

"What are you doing here?"

"Tang Yanqi, how could you not know why I'm here?"

Sheng Jianan stepped closer, and under the pressure of his demeanor, Tang Yanqi unconsciously stepped back until she was cornered against the wall with nowhere else to go, forcing her to stop.

Above her, the man's gaze was icy cold and penetrating: "Tang Yanqi, I've told you to keep your schemes to yourself, don't try to play tricks on me. If you push me, I have my ways to get rid of you."

Tang Yanqi was utterly confused, but Sheng Jianan quickly unraveled her puzzlement. He released her, took out his phone from his pocket, and dialed a number, his expression immediately changing: "Grandpa, I've come back to take Yanqi to school, would you like to have a word with her?"

Saying this, Sheng Jianan already handed the phone in front of Tang Yanqi. She instantly understood; it must have been Mr. Sheng's order for him to take her to school, and he had evidently misunderstood.

With a sigh in her heart, Tang Yanqi accepted Sheng Jianan's phone and spoke gently into the call.

After putting her luggage in the trunk and getting into the back seat of the car, Tang Yanqi sensibly took out her earphones and put them on to listen to music. She didn't think Sheng Jianan would want to talk with her, nor did she know what to say to him.

The car sped along, as if someone couldn't wait to get her out of his car. Two blocks away from K University, Sheng Jianan abruptly turned the steering wheel, went down an alley, and then made a sharp stop.

"Get out!"

His tone was cold and distant, and Tang Yanqi didn't hesitate. She got out of the car, took her suitcase, and watched as the car made a quick turn and sped off. She dragged her suitcase towards the school.

At the end of August in B City, the temperature remained high. By the time Tang Yanqi reached the school gate, she was already dripping with sweat. It was an arduous effort to get to the dormitory building, and thinking about how her dorm was on the top floor with no elevator, Tang Yanqi felt completely defeated.

She took out her phone to call her roommate. Before long, Qi Cheng rushed down. As soon as she came out, she gave Tang Yanqi a bear hug: "Tangtang, I missed you so much."
