"Did I misunderstand?" Mason Wilson asked Charles Seymour.

Mason Wilson rubbed his forehead, feeling a bit dizzy.
The amount of information here was overwhelming; he couldn't process it all at once.
"Sophie in the past..." Mason asked without much confidence, always feeling that his daughter's past... that feeling... really was...

It was more of a heartache.
Thinking about little Sophie, a young girl, being sold to traffickers and eventually having such power, the hardships she endured... he couldn't imagine it, nor did he dare to.
Every time he thought about it, it felt like his heart bled a little, dripping with fresh blood.
