Standing there, the baron could only grit his teeth angrily as he stared at the paper.
There was nothing more he could do; conscience-wise, he knew pleading for a second chance would get him nowhere.
Not to mention, the vibe of the two women standing behind the prince was not so much as friendly.

A valid reason to be scared.
Looking to the side, the baron gently placed the paper on the table and then bowed his head.

And with that, he exited the room.
Although, throughout the entire event, Sylus couldn't help but show he was not interested in the man in any way.
As soon as the baron left the room, Sylus uttered to the rest at the table,
"Please hurry up; leave if your name is no longer on the list. I really don't have all the time in the world."
