Kakashi moved from the Avengers Tower as he ran with Jarvis guiding him. The AI provided clear directions through his earpiece, pointing out the exact paths the aliens had taken after entering the tower.
Kakashi used Kamui to just move on the bottom floors to intercept the Dark Elves. With a swirl of space, he passed through walls and floors easily. 'Obito really had the most ridiculous Mangekyou ability that I have seen. It is so convenient for a shinobi,' Kakashi thought as he finally reached the fourth floor where the elves were looking around.
As soon as they saw a human appear through the floor, the aliens instantly became alert. The Dark Elves raised their weapons quickly. It was a squad of five elves.
Kakashi was sure that the big hideous one was the strongest but the other elf that seemed to be commanding the other four seemed to be strong in his own right.
"So you are the species that live in this realm? Last time I remembered this planet was just a realm of darkness but look at it now, filled with such hideous creatures," the one leading them said. His voice was cold and filled with disgust as he looked at Kakashi. He spoke as if humans were nothing more than insects that had ruined a perfect dark world.
"Well, it is good to know that you have a very nice opinion of our planet and us humans. But you have me at a disadvantage. I know you are Dark Elves but who are you really. Last I know Odin's father Bor killed you all," Kakashi said.
He said the last line as if taunting him. Kakashi kept his tone calm and slightly mocking to test the leader's reaction. He wanted to gather information about his enemy first.
But the Dark Elves seemed to know their way around words and politics. He did not seem to be offended. The leader stood tall and began to speak with pride in his voice. "I am Malekith. The ruler of the Dark Elves. And that Bor could have never ended us Dark Elves. Because we are creatures of night and night always returns. No matter how bright the light of Asgard tries to shine, darkness waits patiently. We have slept for thousands of years, hidden in the shadows of Svartalfheim, waiting for the moment when the alignment of the worlds would let us rise again. The light has ruled for too long. It is time for the darkness to take back what is ours."
Malekith continued his speech with growing passion. Kakashi swore he could see tears in his eyes. "We are the true children of the universe in its original form. Before the stars burned and the realms filled with false light, there was only perfect darkness. We were born in that pure void. Asgard and the other realms stole that peace from us. They brought chaos with their light and life. But we will restore the natural order. Every living thing will return to the silence and stillness that existed at the beginning. No more suffering, no more wars caused by foolish hope. Only eternal night where nothing disturbs the peace."
He finished with deep conviction. "The Aether will help me complete this great work. Those who stand against us will simply fade away into the shadows where they belong. Join us or be erased. There is no other choice in the coming age of night."
"Now tell me little creature where is Aether," Malekith said. His eyes narrowed as he waited for an answer.
"Aether?" Kakashi asked confused. He had not heard that name before and needed more details.
"Yes Aether. The weapon that I had created myself. Something that would help me accomplish my goal," Malekith explained.
"And what is this goal?" Kakashi asked, trying to keep the conversation going.
"To turn all the matter in the universe to darkness, reverting all creation to a state of primordial darkness," Malekith said with passion in his voice. His hands clenched as he described his grand plan.
Kakashi thought, 'Now that's a goal even creepier than Obito and Madara's goal to make all people happy with no wars by putting them in an endless dream and genjutsu.'
Kakashi asked, seeing that Malekith was in the mood to talk, "And what about the big guy? Is he a Dark Elf like you?"
"He is a Kursed. The last of them. The best of warriors of Dark Elves. He has been granted the power of darkness itself, becoming a being superior to all creations. Blessed by darkness itself," Malekith said proudly. He gestured to the large creature standing silently beside him. The Kursed looked like a massive monster made of pure strength.
'So a super soldier of Dark Elves? That sounds like trouble. I will have to quickly deal with him or this could end up pretty bad both for the tower and people who still have not evacuated,' Kakashi thought. He assessed the threat level carefully in his mind. The big creature looked extremely powerful and difficult to handle in a building.
"Now I have entertained you enough... I will ask again where is... Aether," Malekith said. His patience was clearly running out as his voice grew colder.
Malekith heard sounds of chirping from his back but he did not move, but Kurse did. The large creature turned quickly toward the noise.
Kakashi looked at his hand covered in lightning that was about to slam into Malekith being held as if it was nothing by the big creature.
The Chidori in his hand crackled loudly but the Kursed had grabbed his wrist without worrying about the lightning. 'He is fast, strong and very durable. He is Hulk but someone with better combat skills and much faster. This is going to get bad,' Kakashi thought, making his decision right away.
He said to the intercoms, "I am taking the big guy to another dimension. Deal with others. My shadow clone will help you." The real Kakashi moved Kurse and himself to the Kamui dimension with a swirl of space.
They both disappeared from the fourth floor instantly, leaving the other Dark Elves surprised.
Malekith looked at the Kakashi that he was talking to, which he did not know was a shadow clone. "You are a sorcerer?" he asked with suspicion in his voice.
"I am friends with a bald lady that is a sorcerer. But I am not one," Clone Kakashi said.
