I opened my eyes after I lost the signal, and heaved a sigh when I realized that even though I was under the twins' watchful eyes, they didn't notice the tremor.
"How did it go?" Declan asked with eyes shining wide with expectations.
"Great!" I said simply. "It worked, " I added, and helped myself to my feet.
"We should get going." I said quickly. I didn't want Declan or Dylan to ask me any more questions. I didn't want them to know that I had lost the signal, or that something felt awfully wrong. At least not yet.
I led the way out of the bedroom, with my muscles twitched to hide the trembling while Dylan and Declan followed from behind.
My wolf didn't stop whimpering as I walked, and with each passing minute, her whimpering only managed to become more pitiful.
