The next morning, I woke up to the sound of painful screams. My eyes tore open at once and scanned the entire room in one quick glance.
This was Dylan's bedroom, I reminded myself when the question came to mind. The scream sounded right from outside the door, and didn't cease even after a few minutes had passed.
Dylan was not in the room, although the sheets on the other side of the bed which was rumpled showed that he had slept on the bed. Daylight was seeping into the room through the window, showing just how far into the day I have slept.
I remembered seeing Dylan come into the room from the bathroom last night, but the memory was vague,
The screaming which sounded from outside increased just then, forcing me to pull myself up. Pain instantly shot through my brain at that exercise, prompting me to lay back down.
