Chapter 5 — Building a New Civilization on an Unknown World

This planet looked entirely foreign to Kent. The sunlight was almost blocked by towering trees that stretched high into the sky, casting thick shadows across the surface. The air felt dense, filled with the fresh scent of wild plants, yet there was also a sharp, tangy smell from unfamiliar creatures. Kent knew he had to act fast to ensure the survival of his forces, who had just been resurrected, as well as to ensure that this world could become a habitable place.

"Start the work," Kent ordered to the troops that had just landed from the massive warships still hovering above the planet. "Build civilization with your own hands. Place each unit in strategic locations across the planet. Don't forget to wipe out any creatures that can be eaten, and make sure we have enough food supplies to survive."

Along with the command, hundreds of thousands of soldiers from the 100 million Cadian troops who had been revived began to move. They expertly constructed camps, reinforced temporary structures, and started clearing the surrounding area of any threats. Some hunted down giant, dangerous beasts, while others began planning for farms and agriculture that could sustain their lives on this new world.

The warships still hovered above, guarding and providing protection from any unknown threats. From above, they scanned the surface of the planet, ensuring no immediate dangers hindered their progress. Kent knew that although this planet was full of potential, it also posed hidden dangers that must be dealt with swiftly.

Standing on a small hill, Kent observed the ongoing operations. His heart filled with immense responsibility. All those who had just been revived, both soldiers and civilians, were looking to him for guidance. They needed a leader who could navigate them through this uncertainty, and he could not afford to fail them.

"Plan for the capital in a strategic location," Kent continued, his voice firm yet measured. "Find a safe place with ample natural resources to support the construction of our civilization. Once that's done, establish a system of governance and divide the regions accordingly. We can't wait any longer."

Reports from Cadian Divisions

1. First Division — The Cadian Shock Troopers

Report from General Ursarkar E. Creed:

> "The first division is ready to begin the construction of infrastructure and defenses. Our forces have been divided into several groups to build protective walls and observation points across the areas we've secured. We've already cleared two major zones of giant creatures inhabiting this world. The natural resources available will be used to construct defense facilities. We've also stationed troops at strategic points to anticipate any potential threats."

2. Second Division — Imperial Guard

Report from Lord Castellan Pask:

> "The second division has initiated large-scale farming and livestock efforts. The abundant natural resources around our initial encampments are being utilized to establish fields and animal husbandry. Sheep and cattle farms have been set up, while we're also planting staple crops like corn and potatoes. All troops are working relentlessly to ensure adequate food supplies for both the military and civilian populations."

3. Third Division — The Armored Sentinels

Report from Colonel Iron Hand Straken:

> "The third division, specialized in heavy vehicles and mechanical warfare, has mobilized several tanks and armored vehicles we brought along. We've started building logistical routes and roads to ensure smooth movement across the planet. Some of our units have also secured areas rich in high-value minerals."

4. Fourth Division — The Tech Priests of Mars

Report from Magos Dominus Belisarius Cawl:

> "The fourth division, consisting of Tech-Priests and engineers, has begun assembling and repairing the technology we brought with us. We are starting to construct factories and resource processing facilities to produce weapons and ammunition. The Tech-Priests are also working on restoring communication lines and connecting several networks to ensure effective coordination across the planet."

5. Fifth Division — Adeptus Astartes (Space Marines)

Report from Captain Titus (Ultramarines):

> "The fifth division has been deployed to clear areas still contaminated by hostile creatures and threats from this world. We've found several large caves and underground networks inhabited by dangerous creatures, and we've started purging them. Our forces are also securing key positions that will likely serve as major bases for the military going forward."

6. Sixth Division — Commissars and Imperial Guard Command

Report from Commissar Yarrick:

> "We have assigned reserve forces to maintain discipline among the troops. There will be no tolerance for failure or violations among our ranks. Everyone must work diligently and with discipline to ensure the survival of the forces and the establishment of a stable civilization. We've also identified several local leaders who might serve as useful collaborators."

Civilians and Urban Development Reports

Meanwhile, reports regarding the revived civilians started to pour in.

> "2 billion usable civilians have been divided into various groups with different expertise, including farming, construction, trade, and medical services. Some have begun working on building homes and small towns in various locations we've selected. We are also constructing basic infrastructure such as water channels, roads, and public facilities to support daily life on this planet."

Kent read the reports with focused attention. Each division and sector seemed to be progressing rapidly, but he knew there was no time to waste. Every force had a monumental task ahead, but with each unit working toward a common goal, they were making great strides.

"Good," Kent said firmly. "Continue with the work. We must make this planet our new home. Build cities, create farms, and ensure our resources are well-managed. We will not fail. We will build a new civilization from the ground up."

The warships still hovered in the sky, a symbol of the massive power that had just been resurrected. All the troops, military and civilian alike, were working together to ensure the success of their mission.

Kent knew this was just the beginning. The challenges ahead were vast, but with the strength and determination of his forces, he was confident they would succeed in building an empire stronger and greater than ever before.
