Zohar shook his head. "No... The Deaths are slaves under the Blood Queen."
"The Blood Queen? Who is she, really?" Jinx's voice held a mix of curiosity and dread.
"The Blood Queen is under Lester. She's his number one wife... Behind her stand two more concubines. These women are his slaves, bound to do anything he commands. They are nightmares." Zohar's gaze shifted from Jinx to Ellen and Sunny.
"Should I?" he asked, his voice low.
Sunny looked at Jinx, who lowered her gaze, then at Ellen.
"Will her powers be sealed?" he asked.
"Some of her bloodline abilities will be sealed, the strongest ones. But her normal abilities and skills will remain," Zohar explained.
Sunny nodded and looked down at Ellen. "What do you say, Ellen?"
"If my powers are sealed, I won't be able to help Dad anymore," she whispered, a guilty expression on her face.
